I had watched Animaniacs growing up and so I heard Brain’s voice far before I knew who Orson Welles was. I caught a radio play with Welles in it by accident in my truck and immediately went “Woah, that impression really is spot-on!”
Father from KND will always sit with me he always sounded so warm and caring but still so much psychopath at the same time it was such an amazing performance.
His kid's next door voice is literally the perfect voice.... Like when you're young you think of the classic newscaster Or real estate agent with a perfect teeth, hair, and voice. That's literally what that voice sounds like.
Dude, what i loved about his work as Father in K.N.D. was that he was almost always throwing certain speech patterns like raising his voice in between words in his sentences or like when he'd finish a sentence and add a bit of a angered growl/yell (Best Example for that was when he was being bullied by Grandfather in the K.N.D. movie and got so pissed before putting out his anger immediately only to go get some Rocky Road Ice Cream because he was feeling too lazy.).
The pinky and the brain reboot, not going to lie is really good, and I even watch the original and it’s done really well. He actually went back and took notes.
Maurice is a excellent fellow and I was proud to meet him and Rob Paulsen at Denver Comic Con a few years ago! But to me, his roles that stand out as him doing Vincent Price and of course Orson Welles in the critic! Yes! O yes! They're even better Raw!😂❤
Every one of these I see about Futurama makes me think that most times it's just one VA talking to themself all alone in the recording booth for multiple different VAs.
The one clip you have of him doing egon spengler is from scifi valley con which is not to far from where I live and I go religiously. Just thought that was cool to see.
Always thought that KnD's Father, Norm the Genie, and Death from Family Guy shared Norm McDonald as a VA. Believe me when I tell you I was surprised to find out otherwise
