A true wrestling family they had their problems we all do they were the reason I watched wrestling seeing David vs Jimmy Garvin loser becomes valet for a day after watching that I was hooked thank you the Von Erich family was the best back in the day
Is this moderator serious? He asks Kerry about the death of David and the effect it had on the family and then he's basically trying to cut Kerry off while he's giving him an answer. How did this guy ever get a job?
9:31 Kerry including Mike into the whole "My brother is in a better place" speech 1 year before he actually dies is pretty chilling honestly. I know he meant it in context of Mike's severe illness the year before but knowing what Mike's ending was hearing him talk about him in the same context with David while Mike is in the ring with him is a little unnerving
7:10 Fritz is still making an angle out of his son David's death here. SMH. He did NOT take "a lick" to his stomach in Japan. David hadn't wrestled a single match yet on that tour. That fact was more than confirmed by 86. Yet here he is still trying to mythologized David's death as something it wasn't. That's absolutely gross. Maybe it's his guilt on insisting David go to Japan despite feeling ill? Who knows. Sadly he'd have 3 more untimely deaths of his sons to deal with in just 7 years from this video
@@jokerswank6082 I believe World Class would've thrived as a territory for decades after its demise in 89. David not only would've been a great long reigning champion but he was the son that Fritz would've entrusted to run the territory after him. Kevin & Kerry just weren't built for that & it Ultima went over to Jerry Jarrett as a result. Nothing was going to stop Vince from taking over wrestling but it would've been interesting to have another major player in the game in World Class
@@arlopear7136 I agree that they wouldn't necessarily stand a chance against the wwe but they'd have lasted a little bit longer than they did and would've been a little better at competing against Vince provided they didn't do the same mistakes he made just to compete (for example wcw under Ted and after didn't take female talent seriously either). I could see wccw and jcp working together in this case as the last of the NWA territories.
Kerry is high as a kite, and his story makes no sense as to finding out David died. He’s kafabing the story. David Mercer drove to the house and told Fritz. So if Kerry was there visiting his parents, he too would’ve known before Kevin told him.
