In the first of a two-part video, I describe my home-brewed web-controlled remote antenna switch using a coaxial relay (AKA "Dow key) and 26.5VDC power supply in a small metal enclosure. This particular coaxial relay only has two terminals - one for +26.5VDC and one for the negative side. Energizing the relay allows it to switch on, and de-energizing it turns it off. The default position is OFF (connected to my 20M vertical) and the ON side is connected to my 40M mobile vertical w/ counterpoise. I connected a 26.5VDC AC to DC charger to the two relay terminals. I connect the charger to an AC 2-prong plug with a short strip AC extension cord. I plug this into a Gosund Smart Switch, accessible via a Gosund single-outlet AC smart switch. All parts cost less than $100.00 on Amazon and EBay, assuming you don't have some of these in your junkbox. ALl of this goes into a $20.00 BNC Data Switch enclosure, cannibalized for this project. BNC connectors were used here, but if you wish to use a different enclosure or remove these BNCs and replace them with SO-239s, feel free. I use the Smart Life app to remotely control this switch from anywhere outside of the home.
