My favorite aspect about bluey is that everyone in the show world likes children. Clerks, doctors, etc all like children and treat them well! Nobody gets mad at them for playing. Nobody scolds the parents for perceived failures.
I’ve seen many people (myself included) who are single and have no children and love the simplicity of Bluey. It’s honestly one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen in recent memory.
Mine was Keepy Uppey. I found it a few months ago on the Disney Junior channel. I saw the show years beforehand, but I sadly didn’t remember ANY of it.
Blue is so stellar because there are so many jokes written into the script that are CLEARLY intended for the adults in the audience, serving as a subtle wink through the screen, while not breaking the overall flow and tone of the episode!
I first got into Bluey last month, but it feels like longer. My first exposure to it was the episode “The Pool”, when my nephews were watching it. I became interested when Bingo said “Dad, what does A-A-A-A-A-B-B-B-U-U-U-U-U-U-K-K-K-K-K-K-J-J-K-K-K spell?” and Bandit, completely unfazed, answers without even missing a beat. I thought, “How would you even come up with a line like that unless you had exposure to a real four-year-old?” It didn’t even have anything to do with the episode! But it was the third episode I saw that really made me realize that here was something special: “Double Babysitter.” I’ve liked Uncle Rad from the moment I met him, and I haven’t seen anything of him yet to change my mind. And I appreciate how well they took a typical child’s problem, a typical adult problem, and a typical children’s story, and demonstrated the parallels between the three without getting heavy-handed or preachy, and while combining them into a single cohesive story that could very easily have really happened (outside of the characters being cartoon dogs). It doesn’t feel like it came from a script; it feels like it really happened. That’s one thing that I think heavily contributes to the quality and popularity of Bluey: the sincerity of it. Joe Brumm took inspiration from his own family, and his family help work on the show. It’s a literal family affair and a clear labor of love. My only regret is that there are episodes out there that aren’t on Disney+, that I haven’t seen.
It’s a clever show. I really dislike most of the shows my 1 yr old likes. They are so basic and repetitive. However, I can watch Bluey with her and enjoy myself. It has quickly become her favorite. Shes barely 1 and is learning words. I find her saying Dad Mom Bingo Bluey with little attempts to hum the song.
Don't forget that repetition is good, and basic may be what a 1 year old needs. My son went through a pretty big Blippi phase and we largely watch PBS Kids (USA if you aren't here too), but he loves Bluey, and we really like it too, or at least I do. I'm guessing that just like repeating certain books over and over is good for young kids, other repetition is good too.
Indeed, Bluey is a masterpiece! It is an evocative, pleasant, realistic, hearthwarming, hilarious, stellar, brilliant, admirable, praiseworthy, outstandingly TRASCENDENTAL MASTERPIECE carefully ellaborated with a fair amount of love, effort and care. BLESS THIS SHOW, FOR REAL LIFE!
The first episodes of Bluey that addicted me to it was "Mums and Dads" and "Camping". The first thoughts I've had was: Indy and Rusty are in love relationship and I don't know what Jean Luc says in French, help! 🤣
My first episode was a great one: whale watching. I watched a few more episodes and realized why I was still watching every episode over and over: it’s a genuinely and over all good show. It’s great in all ways: plot, visuals, smooth animation, jokes, balance of kindness and realism, making the characters relatable but able to teach lessons to not only kids, but everyone from parents, to adults with no kids, older kids, and 6 year olds.
I first heard of the show from a coworker. We're both 25 year olds with no kids, but I think we both like the show because it speaks to our inner child.
My first Episode I ever saw that made me laugh and fall in love with Bluey was Omelette. Watching little Bingo scramble eggs like a mad dog made my lungs hurt😂😂😂😂. They need to do a Bluey Movie in Theaters eventually and like maybe call it Bluey comes to America or whatever they call it. Also have more celeb voices in episodes.
i like to imagine the reason that natalie portman made a guest appearance was bc she met daley pearson on the set of Thor Love and Thunder, bc that would mean something good came outta that bad movie
A mistake I somehow overlooked and didn’t realize until several people commented about the error. Wish I could edit and reupload a new version with the same link. Sorry about that
