www.cbcmusic.ca Winnipeg folk trio The Wailin' Jennys dropped by CBC Radio 2's Drive for a Session to perform music from their new album 'Bright Morning Stars'.
There is something about their music that it as though it enters your ears, skips by your brain, and goes straight to your soul. Absolutely transcendental.
The album version gave me goosebumps. This version envelopes me like a ferocious storm, and it's ethereal at the same time. Cannot imagine how wonderful it would be to hear this live in an otherwise completely silent concert hall.
GORGEOUS!!!! Their voices create a foreboding - VERY intoxicating! There are not enough words in the English language that would do ANY justice to what these Ladies create with their voices..... wow
A perfect song to remind us to help the hurricane victims any way we can. When the storm comes, don't run and hide. Better open up your door and let the love inside.
it isn't often i find females singers that i like.... i am absolutely speechless though.... wow..... just wow.... the pure, raw, naked talent is one of the most beautiful sounds i've ever heard.... hope to find some songs by these ladies for my wedding..
Totally agree with you. Women's voices are often ... hard on the ear...?! BUT NOT HERE! Awesome work ladies - love your sound and the drama of this vid. Just enough percussion accompaniment created with hands and feet while singing so amazingly - AMAHZING!
not really, maybe it has to do more with a genre taste; not many acapella men bands out there; but fwiw to sound purists like me, it's the clean natural sound they produce, without the horrible autotune or any electronic gadget that "popular" singers of today make abuse because their talent sucks
Amazing talent!!! My Pandora Mumford and Sons radio station played Long Time Traveler by them and I had to find more of their stuff so I wound up here. I will obviously be shopping on Amazon for more of their amazingness next :)
I love the female voice. Better yet, I love female harmonies. I think these are the best I've ever heard and that's one month out from seeing I'm With Her who is incredible. Please come to the Englert Theater in Iowa City. Great acoustics.
Well they didn't have 140,000 views did they.... more like 14,000, and mostly all comments are about the walking dead..., but doesn't take away from how good they are!
