I think Rick listening at the wall was a grounding behavior. Inside everything feels off, surreal. Outside the walls is familiar and he knows how to navigate that world.
Sasha was just going to stand guard in the tower just outside of the walls. I didn't agree with Rick kissing Jessie, but she obviously liked it. Daryl being a recruiter with Aaron is such a good idea. The inside of this community seems safe, but the ending scene with Rick shows that danger and death is just beyond the walls.
The whole scene with buttons the horse was an analogy about daryls character (hence the jet black horse). And in the end the horse was too stubborn didnt accept help and died because of it. This is what makes daryl decide to accept alexandria and start trying to fit in
I remember loving this episode so much... it's like our group are a wholesale batch of wild animals all being taken in at the same time and some are more housebroken than others lol

Lol!! I’m always so impressed with how intuitive you are. Even when you’re semi wrong you catch yourself immediately. But today you whip out “I’m trying to figure out what the A’s are for.
