I frigging would & still do. Glenn will always be my favourite character, I thought Daryl would learn some restraint but he obviously didn't given his stunt with the truck in Season 8
This scene amazes me because it shows how far Daryl has come. From being a stone cold badass to someone who is still a badass but deep down his heart is pure.
@@thrawn8840 I never said you did, I said it by assumption. You say Murphy's character is like Daryl, and jokingly I said John copied Daryl. I thought about it this way after you said that, let's say hypothetically TWD exists in The 100's world, the Arks launched into space in 2052, and have show's and movies from the ground, maybe John was a TWD fan and looked up to Daryl? Hence why I said John copies Daryl, haha. I apologize for not properly wording what I was saying, was trying to keep it short, and not go into a irrelevant theory I thought of in my head after seeing somebodies comment.
Daryl probably blamed himself for all his friends deaths, hell he even looked for Rick for what 5 years after he “died” goes to show how much Daryl cares for his friends
He said “I could’ve shot him” when Hershel died “He blamed himself because he told Beth he would never see Maggie again so he blamed himself and he blames himself because he punched Negan causing him to kill Glenn
I think it's when he blames himself for Hershel and the prison, when he thinks everyone else except Beth and him are dead S4 EP12... Makes me tear up everytime...
I feel like the saddest Daryl scene is when Dwight puts the picture of Glenn’s dead body in his cell and he sits there in realization of what he not only did to himself but to his friend from the beginning of season one.
I could think of a whole lot of scenes that are way more sad than this one, not saying this isn’t sad but their are whole seasons worth of scenes that would make this scene look happy
Daryl cares too much. That's why he was so distant in the beginning. He didn't want to get attached because he would feel responsible for keeping everyone alive, and if someone e dies no matter how far he was or how disconnected he would blame himself.
I love this scene. Glenn's death really changed Daryl and his behavior. In all honesty, Glenn probably would have died either during the Savior War or the Whisperer War, so don't blame Daryl to much. The Savior that came in the cellar was Roy. In the season finale of season seven, he was killed by the zombified version of Sasha.
Nah Glenn wouldn't have died. He survived walker hordes, and fought people. Glenn and Abe only died bc they were surrounded. Both of them would've still been here. That being said, I agree that it wasn't Daryl's fault.
I said to myself that I would be done with the show after Glenn died because he was my favourite character, but like most of the other people that also said that I didn’t quit watching because you realize after a while that there is pretty much no point in having a favourite because no characters are safe on a show like this, anyone could bite the bullet at any moment unless they are the main character and don’t have anyone to take their place when they die
Daryl killed Glenn. Anyone that says it’s not his fault is a fucking liar, which Negan is not. Negan told them what would occur. Daryl knew what would happen. Daryl acted like Negan was a lying punk.
I love how we found out what Glenn’s perspective of. Darryl was because of that line. “You’re one of the good things in this world “that just showed that Maggie will always be the gatekeeper of Glenn’s thoughts and conversations that they had in private. It makes the weight of Maggie’s character so much heavier all the people she loved are all memories for her.
I didn’t cry, because I don’t cry during movies for some reason, I get a feeling like my eyes are welling up with tears but I don’t actually cry. It’s not like we would be friends even if I did cry at this scene because you most likely live in a different country than I do and I really don’t have any friends anyway because I’m not popular or cool or have any special skills or talents
@@TonyJaaFan1587 it doens't matter if you have special talents my dude you Will make friends becuase it's not about if your populair at your school or the coolest kid what matters is how you are inside i didn't have friends the first year in high school becuase i tried to be cool and shot of popular but it doesn't matter it is all about how you are on the inside and i showed that the second year and now i have many friends so be yourself
Also sorry if some the wordt are not good English i live in belguim and it's Linda hard to Wright English rember show who you are and it doesn't matter if other People say something about becuase it just means that there jealous of the fact that you van be yourself and also make friends while there trying to be cool and sure they light have friends but in the end there just houding behind some take role the play like the popular kid at school so it doesn't matter be YOURSELF and you'll see things will go good.
@@TonyJaaFan1587 hey man, I don't have much friends either. But that doesn't matter. And i've never been "cool" or "popular" and never wanted to be. Friends are people that love you for who you are not for what you seems to be ;)
Sometimes I feel like Daryl has the burden to look after everyone, to save everyone, But he does not say this to anyone. He acts tough but deep down we know he also feels guilty for not saving his friends...
Not true, especially if you watch to many videos making predictions about all the seasons and what happens in each episode before you actually watch it
This makes me so sad. How he can’t even look at Maggie because he thinks it’s his fault that Glenn died. I felt so bad for him. He risked his life for the whole group, and then Negan kills another person so Daryl has to live with it. :(
Bruh, if I was Daryl I would be bawling my eyes out if I was blaming myself for my good friends death in front of his wife who is also a good friend. I'd blame myself so bad that I'd wish I was dead, I wouldn't bring myself to face her either. So much guilt and so much pain would overcome me that I would feel that she would blame me for his death
It literally wasn’t his fault, negan would’ve killed two people either way no matter what happened, I’m pretty sure he chose Glenn because he knew maggie was with him and he was planning on making her one of his wives
Daryl epitomizes true strength throughout The Walking Dead. Not just because of how he fights and how he survives, but how he cares for the people he is with. It’s rare we see him weep for the ones he lost, but when he does, it’s because he was strong for too long and just had to let out the tears. 🥺
Man I loved Glenn and was pissed when Daryl had the outburst that lead to Glenn. However seeing how much it effected him and how hurt he was by it. Holding it in that long. Glenn was by far my favorite but I respect Daryl he came a long way from calling him Chinese.
I think Daryl, Connor from AC, Arthur Morgan and DeWitt from Bioshock belong to that category of characters that are so authentic that you could tell they're full blown individuals and not just characters. The right amount of badassery and humanity.
that's why i love darlyl Dixon even though he blame himself for Glenn death he still apologize to Maggie trys to make things and honor Glenn Rhee name and I'm glad for that
@@joeturnee1545 I agree that some people unfairly hate this season just because Glenn died but I actually think that was a good decision in heindsight and his death/the whole premiere we’re my favorite part of season 7. The reason I think it’s a terrible season is because of the rest of it which is a lot of filler and pointless plot lines imo.
It wasn't Daryl's fault Glenn died, Daryl never anticipated that him punching Negan would result in Glenn being killed. If anything, Daryl would have expected Negan to kill him instead of Glenn. He'd never have punched Negan had he known what would have happened.
It wasn’t daryls fault he didn’t like negan Glenn didn’t die because of Daryl. Rick wasn’t scared of Negan still so he decided to pick someone else which was Glenn.
I understand why Maggie doesnt blame Daryl but it is technically his fault that Glenn died. He acted recklessly, attacked Negan, and put him in a position where he had to punish the group.
Negan still had the choice to do it or not. He acted out of fear for Rosita and had he known that his actions would kill ANYONE BUT HIM, he would not have done it.
If that is the case, then wouldn't it be Rick's fault for making a deal with Hilltop to kill Negan's men in the first place? Negan would never have known about them otherwise.
Negan told everyone if they moved he would kill someone for that and the first time was a free pass. But when Daryl attacked negan that was the second time someone moved , so negan kept his promise that he would shut that shit down. he is a man of his word ...😂
It's not Daryl's fault Glenn died. I think Daryl was very brave when he punched Negan. It's one of my favorites scenes actually. Negan would still kill Glenn or if not Glenn then someone else.
I love Daryl Dixon aka Norman Reedus he was at fault for Glenns death but he apologize and redeem himself and he takes care of Maggie and little Hershel and he honors Glenns name negan is not sorry for what he did he is a horrible sick person I will never like negan Glenn Rhee was a wonderful good person and we all miss him and Abraham ford
I just wish that Daryls character was more fleshed out like Negan. They both have their own flavor. But Daryl could talk more with less grunting. Daryl is so strung out its hard to give a shit
A lot of the scenes in the later seasons give him more dialogue and more clues as to who he is/how he thinks. And especially in the new spin off show, you really see a lot of his character and beliefs, to the point I was surprised the writers gave so many details. At least by comparison.
All the ppl like "it WAS daryl's fault, it was rick's fault" etc.....😭 girl was that bat swung by a natural disaster??? Im p sure regardless of who punched who that it was negan's fault Glenn died
Glenn definitely woulda told Daryl it was all his fault he got him killed, especially since he took him away from being with his child Even Glenn's got a backbone to tell people off in his group after a while
You don't know anything about Glenn then, Daryl got his back many times before and pretty surely he would never blame Daryl, especially when it's so clear it was only on Negan, why do people even remotly try to think otherwise?? Makes no sense
@@editsbyme2632 Negan had a choice, but you also can't deny the fact, that he wouldn't have felt the need to kill an other member of the group if Daryl had stayed down.
If it's anyone fault, it's Ricks fault. He should've never made that deal after hearing the warnings. He should've sacrificed himself, or shot Negan instead he became buddy-buddy with him. I hate Ruck and always will hate him.
@@cjtheguy1234 that punch was not the reason why negan took Glenn, he saw that Rick was still not scared of him and he felt he needed to make a second point to finally break him, he also wanted Maggie as one of his wives which is the other reason why he chose Glenn instead of Daryl
