Exactly, Tasha is 100% right. Carl was the sacrifice. We lost Carl, and in doing so, everyone else was spared. Carl died to shape a better future. He died so nobody else had to.

Yep, Whisperers are coming... There are bunch of easter eggs hidden. One of them is the herd, then there is infinity symbol on the letter that Dwight got, which is the same Alpha wears on her belt. Last one is tricky and it is the slopes on that hill (where the fight was) in comics Whisperers did something horrible there. IM HYPED

You know what would be really crazy and interesting? If Maggie takes over Carl's storyline from the comics. I could imagine her visiting Negan, initially to taunt him, say her peace, and warn that she'll kill him eventually, as soon as she gets her chance. But then they form a weird, perverse bond.

I think Jesus was just hearing what Maggie had to stay. I’m imagining he’ll be trying his best to talk her out of it but will ultimately fail. That or he thinks Negan should have died but I doubt it. Jesus is the angel and Daryl is the devil, Maggie has to decide who to listen to

@@blacksparrow15 Really late, but I absolutely hated how Gimple ruined not only the story and fanbase, but how he especially screwed Maggie, Daryl and Jesus' characters over and set them up to be hated for no reason at all. Daryl loves Rick like his brother and would die for him, he'd never go against Rick and Rick knows that too and the same goes for Maggie as well. I'm SO glad that Kang mananged to do them all justice again and that their writing is so much better now and that they're back to being fan favourites, but still. Screw Gimple.

Maggie is super emotional anyway without the pregnancy hormones making her homicidal. Remember when she went off on Lori when she and Glenn were attacked in the pharmacy. This is so soon after her dad and Beth were killed and she is probably still screwed up about that. It didn't explain it very well in the show but Glenn actually stopped her from killing herself(it was the episode were she found the walker in the car trunk. If Maggie doesn't have someone or something to live for she would probably killed herself.

Carl didn't need to die for this, Gimple just didn't want to pay Chandler Riggs. AMC doesn't want to pay Lauren Cohan either, so who knows if Maggie will even be back next season.

They killed of Carl because Chandler Riggs want to move on. We watched this kid grow up on this show, both the character and the actor, but he doesn’t want to get pigeonholed into this one role and job for the rest of his life. I wish him all the best and you should too.

RawkMode I heard the contract negotiations were done. I don’t think the outcome was what she wanted. I honestly think next season she will become a villain and they will have to kill her and whoever can’t live with Negan being alive. I think honestly she’s being selfish and bitter. Glenn was able to forgive Nicolas.

I think that Cohan's request for salary parity is fair, and it comes down to the fact that AMC is almost preposterously cheap. If they've decided to turn Maggie evil in order to set up removing her from the show, then it's neither a case of the actress or the character being selfish or bitter, it's just AMC being AMC.

TV storyline wise, Rick was going to let Negan die. But when Negan said Carl didn't know a damn thing, it made Rick realize he was spitting on his dead sons last wish to feed his own rage. That's what made him tell the Dr. to save Negan.

Plotting against Michonne just pissed me off honestly. Like because she held you? Mam imma need you and the 36 month old baby you carrying to sit down smh And Daryl we can talk when you take a shower using Jesus deep conditioner and protein treatment smh I think the ending was left peacefully in order to create a clean slate for next season for the new show runner so that she can take the show in whatever direction she chooses! Personally I'm hoping for a time jump or a new location! I really enjoyed the finale and I love your reactions!!!!

+lynn cantrell clearly jokes aren't your strong point so I'll make it straight. If she wanted to go against ricks orders and kill Negan herself on a sniper mission- fine that's understandable . But the fact that she looked to be going to "war" with Rick and Michonne is too much IMO. I don't understand the reasoning for going against her own family. Glenn wouldn't want her to be carried away by vengeance and I understand he's gone BY Negans hands but that's just it...he's gone. It's time for her to focus on her baby and being a great leader at Hilltop because whether she kills Negan or not the grief isn't going away by his death. She needs to heal

It should be quite interesting to see what happens since they kept Negan alive.It was quite a twist to see Maggie conspiring against Rick. I understand her grief regarding this but don't agree with her actions at all. I was so emotional with the Carl flashbacks and when Rick talked about how he inspired the new world after all.

It's so frustrating to see so many people bashing Daryl, Maggie and Jesus and thinking they will backstab and kill Rick and Michonne or something when they would never do something like that at all. I absolutely hate that the writers thought it was a good idea to make them seem like villains in this scene (or the whole season tbh) for no reason at all and having them be hated for it when nothing even happened in the end smh. None of these characters deserved that.

The reason for the different finale is season 9 will be called A New Beginning and they had to end things in a new way to start things off. I like the positivity it was so different. Instead of so many deaths we didn't have that for once it ended with hope which is what the new beginning is all about.

I get why Rick saved Negan, but not gonna lie, I wanted him to die. Keeping Negan alive is definitely going to come back to bite the group in the ass. That Maggie, Jesus, Daryl scene made ZERO sense to me. I get why Maggie and Daryl are mad, but Jesus? He's been all about saving all life. He was literally just telling that to Morgan. I'm glad Eugene isn't the complete piece of shit I thought he was. I just feel indifferent towards this finale

I love that the show deviates from the comics, yet stays somewhat the same, so we the fans can't be calling what happens week after week...plus someone major having to die would get old and predictable, and it's great to have a "victory" ending until all hell breaks loose next season!

I 100% understand Maggie's feelings for keeping Negan alive. She's completely justified. If I lost my loved ones the way she has by crazy people, I'd be like I'm done too. Logically, keeping Negan alive ain't gonna do nothing but push some people to shank his ass in the middle of the night. However, it did seem odd with Jesus agreeing though.

This finale actually felt like a series finale. If it wasn't for the Maggie moment I would of thought it was the end of the series. It makes sense not to kill Negan. You rarely want to kill heads of state at the end of the war. You want to dismantle their legacy first. Honestly Rick has no power now that the war is over. Alexandria is gone the only nation left is The Hill Top and it belongs to Maggie and Ocean Side. I don't think Maggie wants hurt them but she will put them in their place and kill Negan fracturing the tenuous peace.

I think that storyline with Maggie is so stupid imo. How is Jesus trying to agree with Maggie when he was so against killing people that he almost got his own self killed for trying to be nice. And Daryl has made so many dumb decisions including getting Glenn killed that he shouldn’t even be a part of this. This is just a disappointing finale for me.

FTWD Opener was so much better than anything we got In TWD this season. Worth a watch if you miss the good old walking dead days.

Season 9 going to be whisperers. That HUGE walker herd Rick and gang saw. That was the Whisperers.
