It’s definitely not like Maggie and her group just killed over a dozen of this woman’s group tho. They could never be in the wrong and deserve getting what they’re getting 😂
What I think makes Carol stronger than any other character is she very clearly hates killing, she avoids it when she can, but she kills whenever the hell she has to without hesitation.
Dude when the group was locked in a shipping container at Terminous and Carol came in with the DMR and started laying waste to people I literally said fuck yeah get em Carol. She's really come so far
It's one of the things that is so much better than the comic. In the comic she remains pathetic, tried to get into a polygamous relationship with Rick and Lory at the prison and when rejected committed suicide by zombie leaving her daughter without a mother. This version is WAY better.
Melissa McBride is a master. Someone who says some shit like "I sure hope not" then gets that unfocused look in their eye - they're not a person to trifle with. She captured that beautifully.
I’ve literally called her “the grim reaper” ever since she decimated every living specimen within terminus. She’s a force of nature and can’t be stopped.
I loved how everything her character went through in her life, Abusive pervert husband losing her daughter, being ostracized by Rick. She became what every female of the animal species is. A determined, unstoppable killer.🐅
@@jaimejam8903 she wasn't ostracized by Rick. She did it to herself. No matter how you look at it, whether carol was trying to help or she just didn't wanna deal with the sickness in the prison, she did kill innocent people with no knowledge or information as to whether or not they would get better or would turn. She betrayed the trust of the group and chose a selfish desire to keep the prison safe even though they were beyond that at the point she chose to do what she did. She made her choice and even if she didn't want to deal with the consequences it's a must and a necessary procedure for someone who kills members of your group with no due process.
Carol was in my vison of everything in hindsight. The perfect right hand man if they wouodve used her instead of daryl. She was sweet, kept everyone safe . Never wanted to hurt a soul. But the moment she realized it was her family or theirs. Its hers everytime. She became the "reaper" not by choice but because losing her husband and watching everything go from sweet and happy to death and destruction. The only thing she can do after her abusive past and now the world being utter garbage. She would rather mow down a million and cry than die and lose her humility.
No,it's empathetic. Carol didn't wanted too kill Paula because she wanted her too realize what she was doing was wrong. Sadly,Paula realized that when she was dying. There are soo many misunderstood minor characters in this series dying because they all lost their path.
Carol really has been through a lot. From an abusive husband, to losing her daughter, to well everything that has happened til now. She is one of the most damaged but strong women in TWD.
@@literallyhenryletham yeah but then she also lost him and that boy she kinda took in died by the ha ds of that bold whisper lady. I love Carol because it made her stronger and did whatever she had to to survive, but still somehow finds away to be everybody's Grandma
Morgan is a different kinda monster though. He has multitudes higher bloodlust than she does, and literally sees red when it happens. No way he gets beaten 1v1, much less by an old lady (who's pretty strong in her own right but it doesn't matter)
"You're good. Nervous little bird. You were her. But not now, right? Me too." "I told you to run." If you could do all this, what were you so afraid of, Carol?" "I was afraid of this."
Let's not forget that if it wasn't for T-dogs sacrifice she wouldn't have become such a bad ass like for a pray for T-dog may he rest in peace in S3 Edit: 1k likes and 23 comments I'm truly blessed in these lost hrs
I was frustrated with carol for a while because she kept on getting helped by everyone else but turns out she was always learning, she's definitely smart and just shows how weak and kept back from who you truly are when your in a relationship like her and her huspand
Look at her in Alexandria she had the innocent teacher look going, making and delivering cookies while scoping out the armory. Even in the Kingdom, she was playing innocent, to find out more information.
She's actual covert ops. The reason her plans work so better than others is cause she has that warmonger mentality going, doing whatever the hell it takes to take down her enemy. No bullshit character, love her
I gotta be honest, Carol is the absolute coldest, most badass killer in the series. Rick is close, but the way Carol kills is just so fucking cool. Like somehow she comes across as delicate and kind when she does it, like the entire time she's begging them not to make her do it, then she does it. An angel of death.
"catching bodies"? 🫣 What does that even mean? Carol was catching bodies? Like zombies were falling overhead and she was "catching them"???? Uh.., CATEGORICALLY NOPE. Quick lesson here: you 'CATCH' a ball. You 'CATCH' a zombie plague virus. You 'CATCH' yourself daydreaming. I dare you to hypothetically "catch bodies" lemme know how that goes..... Or not.
Most people have the "fuck around and find out" mentality. Carol has the "I don't want you to fuck around because I don't want to find out what I'll do to you" mentality.
@@Meow101_45 I just like Daryl's lifestyle and this two can survive too long without contacting any person, I mean they are kind of introverts and don't have to contacting and care about somebody
I'd have to give the edge to Carol. They're both more than sufficient at solo survival, but his wealth of life experience was mostly caught up to by her quick learning and adaptability over the years. In terms of pure combat it could go either way. What puts her over the top for me is her cutthroat attitude and adept social manipulation skills, always keeping a good read on the players in the room and not being afraid to get her hands dirty if her crew is on the line.
Carol out of every other character scares me the most More than Negan Or Alpha Or murder jacket Rick She came so far and she doesn’t hesitate when it comes time to kill someone’s or a group of people to defend those she loves and she has NO mercy Burning people alive after trapping them She done that twice I believe Leaving people to be torn apart by walkers Another few times And the scary part to me is She knows how dangerous she is That’s why she warns people that’s why she Doesn’t want to do it because she knows she will And nearly every kill she just sits there and stares she doesn’t look away or close her eyes No She looks right that screaming person being ripped apart Or burned alive and she accepts that’s something she had to do That’s fucking terrifying…….
I loved Paula and would have liked to see more of her. It's a shame she wasn't casted for a different or longer role. She had great screen presence and sold her story well.
I love the fact that Melissa Mcbride's character got to stay after the Cherokee Rose episode. Her character was supposed to die by suicide after the death of Sofia, but McBride fought for her character and Carol became the ultimate badass alongside Daryl and Rick.
I'd say she's on par with Rick, both of them lost their partner & children ( In Carol's case however she lost 2 children) but she also never had to kill her best friend
@@KarlDelaney99 technically she lost three kids, two of which weren't hers and she had to kill the third herself so I'd say that messed her up more than Ricks ever been.
Carol is by far the most underrated character on TWD, she is unrecognizable in season 1 compared to what she becomes and is capable of in later seasons
This was one of my favorite episodes and PROBABLY the exact moment it lets you know that Carol is NOT TO BE EFFED WITH. SHE LITERALLY BURNS THOSE LAST MFs ALIVE BY LURING THEM ONTO THE “KILLING FLOOR.”
Carol later tried to escape because she was tired of killing, here she was too, but when she saw maggie could loose everything cause she was triyng not to kill she realized she had to, that why she did so calmly, she was over triyng. Later she showed weakness again fighting redhead and almost got her kill, thats why she terminated the rest
RIGHT I KNEW I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE THINKING THAT THEY ARE THE 2 CHARACTERS THAT I WENT LIKE OHH SHIT WTF, I HATED CAROL AT THE BEGINNING USELESS AND THEN I WAS THATS MY QUEEN CAROL TURN INTO THE GIRL I WANT ON MY TEAM
Such a badass….I remember seeing her all weak and scared of everything the first time we see her in the show and it all went uphill after she killed her boyfriend at the time
Carol remains my favorite character for many reasons. In her heart she's innocent and fragile. In her waking life she's decisive and capable of horror. A horror she rightfully despises because Life is about what we build. Her character transformation reminds me of a reluctant war veteran. Horror must be contained, controlled and made a friend. Otherwise it's an enemy to be feared!~ Col Kurtz
Carol was the groups ninja...she was skilled at spyjng...excellent at camouflage....and a top tier assassin..and often used her environment to take out her enemies....
I love how Carol would put on an innocent, ditzy, little girl act. Then when things get relaxed around her, she would destroy their existence. I had been crushing in Carol and Micchone for years!
Carol is hands down my favorite character on that show. I feel like she has a better story than most the others and just her character growth is amazing.
Carol could easily see through that woman, she acted like she wasn’t afraid of anything but her behavior proved she WAS afraid. She took what Carol said as a threat, but Carol was being honest, in a non-snarky way- this is where it would’ve paid for that woman to pay attention to Carol’s facial expression, NOT her words. She assumed Carol was threatening rather than truly warning her due to her OWN emotional thinking, not seeing reality.
When you watch this in 2009 thinking Carol is a wuss. Now it’s 2023 and you realize Carol is the most badass, most dangerous, most lethal, and had the best character development. She went from being afraid to crying because of all the people, not zombies but people she’s killed to get to where she is. She’s changed but never really changed. Carol realized at one point that in order to survive you have to become the thing you swore you’d never become, become the thing that you swear to destroy. Rick realized it too.
Now can understand because she and Daryl becomes best friends. They both hate ton kill, are good people, but do take hard actions and decisions when they have to do.
