To help you guys out so you can know why he was acting so dumb in the beginning: In this universe, zombie pop culture doesn't exist. There is no Night of the Living Dead, World War Z, Etc. So the people in this world are literally experiencing zombies for the first time EVER. They have no media to reference on. Which is why the "Go for the head" and "You get infected from bites" stuff seems like a no brainer for us, but it's news to them.

@@samanthaelford1389 In the original comic to use the actual Z word was a mistake. Any editions with the word "zombie" are mistakes and should be substituted with...any other weird zombie name.

Yeah, the show doesn't really clarify this well, but in the comic version there is no such word as zombie, or any idea of reanimation of dead humans.

@@fuzzy__dunlop I think they were going with the fresher the death of the body/creation of zombie the more they remember things...like trying to open a door or picking up the toy...I would think that as the zombie decays an gets older they become less inclined to function anything like a human with the exception of feeding..which is one of humans first instincts...

I remember this carpenter went home from work and he had really bad head aches so he went to the doctor and it turned out a Nail was in his head, he remembered the nail gun malfunctioned but couldn't found the nail, apparently it shot up through he nose, and if it was over an inch he would have died.

@@StopReadingMyNameOrElse Completely disagree. 1 was the peak, 2 was dog shit aside from the key episodes (this season could have been cut in half and nothing of value would have been lost, not to mention the plot around Sophia makes virtually no sense and there's drama for the sake of drama), 3 was decent when it comes to pacing but had some really stupid shit. 4 was probably the best season since 1. 5 has a drop in quality compared to 4: The start with Terminus is pretty good, but the hospital arc is complete garbage for the most part. Seeing them back in a large city was nice though. 6 is a tad better than 5, though I think it starts off pretty weak. I stopped watching around the start of season 7 out of principle, after that cheap cliffhanger at the end of season 6 where they didn't reveal who died, which killed the tension of the Walking Dead's Red Wedding.

Season 1 was like a trial run so to speak... in season 1 you see the zombies/walkers picking up stuff, running, climbing, and turning knobs... that changes later on... can't wait to watch this with y'all 💕

Fun Fact: The Walker that was inside the tank was played by Sam Witwer, Sam Witwer voices characters such as Starkiller from Star Wars The Force Unleashed Games, Maul from Star Wars The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and SOLO, Maul and Palpatine in LEGO Star Wars The Halloween Special, and Deacon St. John in Days Gone. He has also appeared in films or shows such as The Mist and Being Human. His most recent appearance is a character in Callisto Protocol the game set in the Dead Space Universe.

He was actually supposed to have more screentime because in Season 2 of TWD, there was supposed fo be an episode dedicated to Dale, Andrea, and Amy when the outbreak started. Sam Witwer would be fighting with other soldiers, get into the tanl, consider commiting suicide by blowing himself up with the grenade, but ultimately deciding not to. Then he would die from his wounds and dehydration a few minutes before Rick entered the tank

TWD is the #1 show on television again. Season 9 was the best they've had in a long time, very good plot with a clear sense of direction and movies on the horizon. The Whisperers are also well written and an awesome addition to the series

I really don't think it's so much about being sympathetic toward every walker so much as it's his first real experience with them. He finally knows what they are and he understands a bit more by then. Considering he just woke up and all, he's still very used to his old life.

Your "what if" discussion is the very thing that make this show good - and so it was spot on. If you allow yourself to empathize with each character, especially the main group, you'll be better invested in the show for the long haul. Forget about the mistakes that are sometimes made, and you'll enjoy yourselves more. It's not really about the zombies, but how the different kinds of characters interact with each other, and the zombie apocalyptic world they were thrust into. Anyway...I'm glad you're doing this show. It's one of my top 10 shows of all time, and I'm in it till the end. Hope you like it as well. 😊❤️
