I have to tip my hat to the casting directors for snagging Xander Berkley. He is such a great representation and plays the heck out of Gregory. I think he deserves lots of love for how he makes us instantly hate Gregory. I also feel like theres a funny quality he brings to the roll that just adds a perfect little lemon squeeze it.
Seriously like. As annoying as Gregory can be, he’s also pretty funny and the negative traits of his character also really makes the positive traits of the rest of the cast more noticeable, so he serves a good purpose other than plot

This episode always reminded me how far Glenn and Maggie have come as a couple and how mature they’ve gotten Remember how crazy things were between them before in Season 2 It’s so different now and I love it I love Daryl looking at the picture too and then looking for Glenn Him and Glenn have also come such a long way together I love how this episode in general just shows us how far everyone’s come and how much everyone’s changed All things considered I really enjoy the lighthearted moments in this episode.
I feel like Abraham told us what it was with Sasha. "I like the way you call bullshit". Their interaction has more sass and Sasha doesn't put up with mistreatment and on some level he knows that is something he needs. Rosita is more level and doesn't react, but that also doesn't keep him in check in the same way.
This episode leads us to a shift in the show n our group we've never seen. Rick n group have beaten so many enemies at this point it's made them over confident. I know it comes from a place of hunger n desperately needing supplies, but they don't know this new enemy enough to be so sure of themselves. Maggie doesn't know what but she knows" it's gonna cost us something." On the lighter side Abe's question to Glenn " when you were pouring the bisquick were you trying to make pancakes? " and The confused look on Glenn's face are both priceless! I also love that after 2 sentences from Gregory you both already hate him. Lol. 🧟♀️🧟♂️

@@sallyatticum I feel the same about spoilers. Remember how bad it used to be. TWD did nothing to curb it either. I feel like a few eps should come with a warning though 😳 With that said, I think they are a few episodes ahead or try to be ahead to prevent being spoiled.

I hope all the people who gave up on the show see this comment. There is a semblance of characters finally getting their rest and/or purpose finally solved in the end.
I totally agree! Rick And Michonne separate are both strong, honest, good people. Together they are an unbeatable couple. They are each others true match.

I like that from this point on the show puts a bit more emphasis on community building and the revival of some sort of order/society rather than surviving out in the wild. Some people aren’t a fan of it but then again some people were complaining about the fact that the show was always Rick and group find location gets fucked they move on so they finally changed it up a bit in Season 5 when Alexandria came along.
Rosita has chilled out a lot as of recently, but many of the interactions between Abraham and Rosita that we saw before Alexandria involved arguing, disagreeing. She can be kind of a jerk, I remember her being a jerk to him in the car with Eugene, and another time when they were walking. And she’s also gone off on Eugene out of nowhere this season. I’ve always thought she can get annoying sometimes, but maybe that’s just me. Not to say Sasha is perfect, she was going through PTSD and having a hard time adapting to Alexandria, but she got out of it. I think that Abraham relates to Sasha more than Rosita. He has similar mental struggles, and Sasha’s recent change toward joy is what is pulling him.
If you thought the Governor was bad, you will be in for a hell of a ride with Negan. He’s definately the best villain and one of the best characters in the whole show, y’all should be excited and terrified

When abe was being choked, you can very faintly here sasha talking, saying something from earlier in the episode. On prime video, there are subtitles for it. Anyway quick comic comparison, it'll be a short one but i think it's pretty funny. Rick was the one to make the deal with Gregory in the comics. After the stabbing, Gregory is moaning about how much pain he's in and how it's the worst thing that could happen to someone. He asks rick if he's ever gone through something like that to which he responds Rick: "Yeah, i got shot. Twice. And i lost a hand" Gregory: "oh, i hadn't noticed"
I love how emotional you two are getting lately over the smallest things it's kinda tearing on my heartstrings 😅.. and I think that's once again a sign of how well and authentic the characters are written. I really appreciate how you two noticed the similarities between Abraham and Eugene btw I think their relationship is especially touching for some reason because of what they've been through and what they mean for each other. I feel like they both give each other something that allows them to grow If you know what I mean and even though you'd think they are complete opposites they're actually more similar than you might think. And yess hearing the name Negan like that does make you wonder: is it a Voldemort type of thing where fear of the name only makes you more afraid of the person? Is Negan really just one person or more like an organization? Is it a smaller group that is just very effective like Rick's ? Looking at the comments a lot of people are surprised that Abraham is into Sasha. He told her he was and why a few episodes ago. When they were holed up in that office waiting for Daryl he was clear about being drawn to her on a mental and intellectual level and she told him that he had something to take care of first...that "thing" would be Rosita. Having said that...I know you guys are anxious to find out who Negan is but it's several episodes away. I really don't know what to say without potential spoilers so I'll just say brace yourselves.

I was really disappointed with Abraham to be honest, I thought Rosita was awesome but to each his own I guess. Rosita has a great story in TWD, one of my faves. I'm always amazed by Rob's perception, I think he's watched it before sometimes because he reads into things so well always right on point

Gregory is a self-serving slime ball. I'd forgotten how Maggie's words were so prophetic; "It's going to cost us". As much as I enjoy this installment, I can't help but feel nervous. This episode was special. Rick never misses the chance to end a threat. I love seeing Rob putting it all together. Great show, guys.

Rob, the Texan lingo of Abraham and Eugene is hard to acquire but I wish people where that interesting in real life, not the accent but having their own lingo of speaking vs sounding like the "mass," than being our own unique individual character *.* Very fun southern feel and music in which I love from the composer, Bear. Got a lot of decisions here, certainly Maggie is content. Gregory the governor of Hilltop but whimsical-like.
