I am right with you on the Richonne awesomeness!! I love them so much! I really appreciated the scene when they talked about the possibility of losing people in the coming war. It's beautiful how they are honest with each other and talk about their fears and encourage each other - and how they are patient when they know the other one isn't quite ready to talk about it. And that sword toss...EPIC!!!

Yes it was a proposal and marriage. Rick said, he didn't want to be leader of the new world unless Michonne would be his partner in the new world. Greg Nicetero said this was their honeymoon. They got married in this scene. I love how honest Rick was. He rarely reveals his feelings. But he does feel safe with her. I felt that Michonne giving up when she thought Rick was dead is a callback to after the prison fell. She was surrounded by walkers and almost gave up because she was alone again without Rick and Carl. It was a beautiful episode and I'm not letting the high intensity of hate marring my appreciation of this show displaying a healthy & strong interracial relationship. By the way, great review.

Good job 👏🏼 I knew Rick loved Michonne when he squeezed her booty when she jumped in his arms. It was a great episode.

You are right that the conversation with Rosita and Gabriel that she is talking about is from "Hearts Still Beating." But what I think she was saying in this episode was that she had a plan on how she was going to take Negan out, but Gabriel convinced her not to go through with it and because she decided to listen to him and put her plan aside, she ended up reacting in an emotional moment and it all went bad. I think, in her mind, she is sure that if she had stuck to her plan she would have killed Negan and then Olivia, Spencer, and Eugene would still all be safe. She's blaming Gabriel for her decision to not follow through on a logical plan and for her emotional reaction to Spencer being killed and shooting at Negan in that moment. That was a lot of rambling. Did I make any sense? lol

Nice analysis! Yes. Rosita definitely feels guilty because of her history with Eugene. She is focused on killing Negan, like it is a mission. This is very similar to Abraham in season 4/5 and finding the cure in DC.

I love this video and this episode. All those call backs that you were saying made me tear up lol.

First: Love your new hair, it's really beautiful. Second: Did you notice Sasha was wearing Rosita's necklace she made for Abe? I fear Rosita is deliberately trying to get Sasha killed, if she doesn't kill Sasha herself. Remember Sasha got cast in the Star Trek show and Rosita's actress just got pregnant. I think Sasha dies and Rosita gets cast out by Team Family for a while. Third: Really great Richonne episode and great reaction and discussion.

well Rositas plan was after the gate was open she saw rge saviors there she was going to kill Negan as soon as she saw him. before the spencer scene but after Gabriel talks to her she wasn't but after Negan gutted spencer she took the shot..

I think what Rosetta was talking about with saying Father Gabriel talked her out of killing Negan was when she more than likely was gonna go find him and do it where ever he was because at the time of their talk she nor FG knew Carl was there at the Sanctuary and then Negan bringing him back. I think she was weighing what FG said because she was sitting on her porch when the Saviors were there at A plus she had a brief talk with Spencer before he went to talk with Negan which led to his death which led to her taking the shot and missing which led to Olivia's death which led to Mr Smarty-pants Eugene being taken. So in my opinion she blamed Father Gabriel for talking her out of her original plan. Hope this helps and makes sense.😁

Rick was reading a map, not a newspaper... :-) Relationships are always dangerous, BUT they are worth it or else life will just be about surviving. That's the whole point of the episode. Michonne's reaction in thinking Rick was killed shows that those moments though potentially devastating make us realize that we have to have relationships in our lives. The risks are worth it because they make us value life even more. We can't just be all about business we need some time to relax, live life and love or again we will just be surviving. I know most shippers (I die for Richonne myself!) want this episode to be a proposal to Michonne but I think these warriors are better than a mundane proposal and traditions of the old world. If Glenn and Maggie didn't have a ceremony, why would these two? IMO, Rick wanting Michonne to lead their people side by side is even more profound because it's appropriate to their relationship. This is his way of saying he loves her and wants her to lead with him. I think it would just be cheesy to do that whole thing in the traditional way because the world is no longer what it was. Just like how they haven't said I love you's and all that...maybe it will change when they are together longer but tomorrow isn't promised for anyone in this world. Rick is a tired man who has the weight of the world on his shoulders. He deserves some time away to spend with his love. He is under no illusions about how bad things will get. Love has not softened his resolve but in fact solidified it making him a stronger man for the coming war. Sorry for writing a book....I love this show and get passionate when I chat about it :-) Love your review...keep it up please...new sub! You know your shit, lol!
