This is a needed tip for anyone suffering from stamina conservation. Pick up a pan. Pans kill a zombie in 4 hits, Infinite durability and no loss of stamina per swing, just finished the campaign and moving onto dlc. PAN IS GOD TIER ALL HAIL PAN GOD OF DESTRUCTION
It's still worthwhile carrying dirty bandages not to be used as health items but as trade items. Throughout the game, you will find theves and beggers. Beggers somtimes need bandages, and they will accept the dirty ones. In exchange, they will give you a box of resources. These encounters can be rare, but you'll find your fare share while playing the game
I live in Louisiana lol it is indeed pronounced Benyay, let’s not even get into other shit we spell and pronounce weird af. Also love the graveyard in the Resting Place, a little under a quarter of New Orleans is or once was a graveyard. The ax man and the Jazz shit they added to the game was outright impressive, they either did their research or had actual NOLA natives help them
@@substatica tip if you didn't know, or used you can throw knifes cleavers and even katanas! Doing so will not consume stamina and greatly reduce the damage your weapon receives. If your low on stamina as a last ditch measure, try throwing your weapon if it won't kill it will stun hope fully long enough to recover. To get a throwable to work simply try throwing a weapon in a enemeys general head area. The chances of this working shows under the weapons description.
@@pizzaman-4871 I think you miss understood me. It is a great video. My point is it seems to me this guy is not a sell out which is a good thing! No 8 min video with a 5 minute intro of please sub and like BS haha
I just got this game like 2 weeks ago. Before I did ANY of the missions, I went through old town so many times, and picked up supplies enough times to upgrade all my crafting stations to 10... so now as you said, the name of the game is keeping an eye on stamina
I'm totally new to OQ2 and this game. Blown away by the immersive experience, as a longtime TWD fan. THANKS for this insanely helpful video, especially how to kill walkers. Didn't even think of grabbing their head, as many times as I've seen it in the show. I was doing the typical "top of head stab", and I frequently missed. TOUGH game, so far.. but this is insanely helpful. And for the record, I had no idea how to build any of that stuff with the bus/homebase... I completely ignored all those documents... had no idea, I thought it was someone's abandoned base, haha. AWESOME stuff. Thanks again. Subscribed!
If you hear the bells, make sure you get out onto the street as fast as possible so you can see your surroundings, then climb onto a car or garbage can; they can't get you. Then, check where the nearest skiff is and memorize the route. Then, kill the walkers that are in your way and run for it. Remember, you are faster than them. If you run out of stanima, walk backwards while shooting, then get back to running.
Fun fact: You can beat walkers with your pistol or broken pistols and they will die and pieces of wood on the street can knock back or stun walkers if you hit them with it.
I think the reason why you’re having trouble aiming pistols is because you’re trying to fire it from your hip. You can hold it higher and actually look through the sights. This was a very helpful video! Thank you! I just got the game yesterday and I’m looking for all the help I can get!
I agree for this video, I was just hip firing since it's not an actual run. As you say, if you want to have any chance of landing shots you need to aim properly.
For people who is viewing the video like me a year later pro tip. Make sure the first 5 nights you play. If you ever find a junk box get rid of something that only gives you one item out of it all because what you get rid of the game will dupe it on it's own and give you more of it.
Another superb tip: in Bastion at the 2 house (the one where there are like 2 houses in one) in one of them is a kitchen with a pan, if you pick it up it has no durability and can 2-3 hit a walker making a quick save in a tight situation
Yes my man! I started 2 days ago playing this game and I got the Frying pan in the blue mansion at the starting mission and it 1 hits if you back hand with it haha brilliant weapon for clearing hordes
you can use the propane tanks to push them back and it doesn't use stamina I think Edit: ok, I confirmed and it doesn't use stamina so use the propane tanks traveler
love your vr vids...heres a tip nobody ever mentions: up-stabbing under the chin on these walkers..works perfet for helmets and goaties, and its hella fun...keep up the awesome vids
Totally, I had on my list these angles-of-attack but didn't get to them. Up under the chin, holding the head down and stabbing the back of the top, aiming down at heads from up high with pistols, all good tactics!
Ok, hold up... Tip number one is how to choose the best loadout from your apparently infinite arsenal of guns and supplies... Meanwhile, my arsenal consists of a pistol, 12 bullets, and a few screwdrivers, my guy is constantly hacking up a lung, and I haven't even figured out how to unlock the "craft food" upgrade yet.
For you my good fellow, I recommend my Getting Started video rather than Tips & Tricks, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-W-XjjmtzzBo.html
I recommend to use the sheriff instead it’s a better and safer option then the normal handgun it may have capacity but when ur having to deal with a swarm of maybe 6 zombies and it jams ur done
Thank you so much I've had this game two days now and haven't even started the campaign because I was so frustrated with how long it took me to kill a single walker but this definitely helps .
2 things: 1. That bell crash has never happened to me. 2. It’s kind of disappointing on the quest version since during the bell ringing a max of 10 walkers will come, which ain’t very frightening to say the least in endgame when you would probably be staying just for that thrill. I wish they added a little more, and I know it’s probably of the quests limits but still it sucks to not have that PC experience. And to even be able to get that experience you have to pay an extra 10$ for virtual desktop which sometimes isn’t even that good. But besides that this game is still very, very amazing.
Hey substatica here is another trick when you get a 9mm use the bottom where you put the mag in and hit zombies in the face with it like near the nose and it get rid of the threat it’s easy and fast it doesn’t take damage on you pistol or take stamina it’s the alternate weapon if you want some just quick and simple good job on the video keep it up!!
Ay buddy iv commented on a couple peoples already but you should try keeping a frying pan, works on the quest 2 as a max 1 overhead smack to the face and seems to have an infinite durability
Good video. I’ll say on the pistol, you said it’s “hard to aim”, and I’ll say that it’s true to life… meaning if you go watch some videos on front sight focus and sight alignment (equal height equal light: meaning, take the front sight and align it flat to the same height as the two rear sights and have the same amount of light or space between the rear sights on either side) you will hit what your aimed at. This takes practice, but you have to teach yourself to see 3 planes of focus at once… or at least rapidly iterate between them until alignment is reached (those 3 planes are the rear sights, the front sight, and your target. I can’t remember if this game asks for your primary eye, but onward does, and as someone who shoots at a real range, I was blown away by the carry over to both onward and saints and sinners. Check out some instructors here talking about front sight focus or sight alignment, I don’t know about you, but anytime I learn something new I have more appreciation for a thing, and this game with the shooting mechanics, it’s pretty cool.
That being said, I should clarify. In this video, I should have said that it's hard to aim hip shots. Aiming down sights is fairly accurate, but trying to instinctively hit targets (which I do quite easily in other games) doesn't work very well in Saints & Sinners due to the weight and physics given to the weapons.
@@KellenChase I've also happened to notice that it seems that aiming is Left eye oriented, I hope I'm wrong but it absolutely murders me since I'm right eye oriented. If this isn't the case please let me know but I need to know how to fix this I'm adapting perfectly fine but it feels like I'm shooting with one hand tied behind my back
An easy way to deal with helmet zombies is to grab their head, hold your knife at the uncovered spot on the zombie's head and then push it with a quick movement into it.
No. He just said to aim for the spot whats not protected and push the knife in. Only because you aim you don't hit to 100%. When you miss, you hit the protected part eventually. I wrote about holding the knife tip at the zombie and then force it in. So you don't have to aim and you can't miss.
The fists dont work but the candle stick from the bus is unbreakable in terms of weapons and it takes 3 to 4 head hits. Dont worry about the chunks that fly around when you hit them..i thought it was breaking..just brains 😜
At 14 Mississippi it had already been 20 seconds lol. The point of the Mississippi after the number is as a filler, no need to leave a space after it lol
np saves you some resources and and of the dlc or green recipes or the sheriff, the judge and the national guard knife are just skins from weapons that are already in the game
True, if you hit a zombie hard enough in their “Sweet spot” it kills them one shot, also has no durability and uses stamina and you can find them in kitchen areas easily.
When I go out in saints and sinnerss i bring a revolver as my main pistol then night shift then in my back pack one sterile badge and restorative badge, herbal medicine and normal medicine a a extra pistol or two, a pan then some extra Malay weapons, the a shotgun and An AR and lastly a katana or a bow on my back
Well shit since you love the lever action maybe you’ll be able to answer a question for me. My loop on the butt of the gun started flashing white and I can’t cycle a round into the chamber, I also can’t fire. Should I just get rid off it or is there anyway to fix it.
@@thelightpost6056 try holding the lever action with both hands, then lower and raised your supporting hand while still gripping the rifle. I've found that's the best way to cycle the lever action -- think of it as levering the rifle while keeping the loop handle stationary.
I thought it is only annoying for me but the endles respawn of the walkers was to watch too. I sneak as much as possible! How can I smear my self with their guts Dying Light stile? That would be important for when the bell goes off!!
How do you get your graphics to look so good? I got a meta quest 2 and so i wanna know, how does your gameplay look, clean?! (Also is this retribution? Because i have only chapter 1)
Pfffffffft, iron sights. I like haphazard hip firing. In all honesty though, this may not have been the best example, but the game is very unforgiving with firearms at close range and long range, there's a medium range sweet spot where it's not too bad though.
@@matthewjones39 to clarify, compared to other games, both hip firing and down sights is very unreliable in Saints & Sinners, though hip firing (not using sights) has a very harsh spread in addition to the weapon weight mechanic slowing targeting.
Might be off topic but can you give me some hints how to record the Quest 2 with a PC like you do here? Everything just gives me the view of the right or left eye tso all the vignette effects are not centered anymore like they are in your video. I could turn them off but they add alot to the game for me so maybe you could point me in the right direction.
This is the PCVR version of the game. At this point I think I was recording PC display. I turn the iris/vignette off in the game settings though otherwise it would show.
@@substatica Thanks for the answer! I was wondering because the vignette of the stamina drain is still there (@14:12) and also centered. It goes away when i disable the vignette in the settings and also it won't be centered like that but maybe all of that is due to updates of the game or the Quest 2 software.
@@substatica I just have the option to diable all vignette effects in my PCVR version and it also disables the stamina vignette :( Maybe they changed something with it, would really be great to have the option to configure that a bit more precise. I really don't like the tunnelvision when sprinting and the movement vignette in general is bad for recordings. But the stamina vignette is important to know your stamina without the need to look at the HUD and it's also kinda immersive for me. But thanks for all the info!
I play this game more than I eat so I’ve been in a few scrapes with the chiming bells. It doesn’t crash the game on oculus quest 2 I know that much, maybe it’s different on your headset or just some sort of glitch/freak accident.
@@substatica I had given up on saints and sinners until I watched your tips and tricks videos..... Your explanations and how simple you made it look are brilliant! Never before have I wanted to make a shelf in a caravan with a bow and arrow and general rubbish that is normally considered useless
Hey there I’m new to vr and I tried to play this game but I couldn’t because I just ended up feeling really sick is there a way to prevent that from happening what can I do?
Hey man I got a question if y oh answer it it would mean a lot to me so I have no idea where to put the control dial and it won’t let me put the pump regulator in the machine thing so yeah I’m really stuck pls answer
I had to stop at the way that you pronounce beignet. But coming down I see the top comment with you replying that you're correcting yourself constantly now. All I have to say is good job on willing to improve yourself and thank you for the video so far I know most everything that you've said but I have learned a couple of things already and I'm only 7 minutes and 50 seconds in
Hey i know this sounds silly but i started the game with the left handed settings by accident, is there a way to make it right handed (im right handed)

I generally do use the iron sights if I'm going try hard. In this video I was just messing around a lot. Another item of note is that this recording is from my left eye perspective (due to the recording setup I have here) and I'd be aiming with my right, so even if I am aiming down sights it won't look like it.
The locations are usually descriptive rather than marked. You can enter colored buildings on the maps but generally you have to search for your objectives.
