To be honest for me this episode was kinda dissapointing (as you can listen to in my review). The last part with the Rick stuff was great but the rest of it felt anti-climactic. I expected WAY more CRM stuff. I mean, if you're gonna make this the bridge between the show and the movies we needed more of that. For example, why wasn't there a CRM LOGO on some of the crates Michonne investigates ??. Why didn't we get an crm SOLDIER SUIT/OUTFIT in one of the rooms of the ship ??. Also, another psycho person (Virgil) and trippin on drugs ?!. That was something Scott Gimple would come up with !!
@@adler923 We don't know if it was Rick who wrote it. It's not completely impossible either. For all we know, maybe Michonne taught Rick some japanese since she knows about that stuff. Hell, she refers to herself as "Daitō" which literally means "long sword" so go figure.

EXACTLY what I was saying. She liked to do portraits and art on inanimate objects so - he may have talked about Judith growing up and Jadis used this "canvas" to create this.
@@HygorBH Is it really that confusing? It's reasonable to assume she'd have long hair as a kid, and he just added the hat detail. Really it's a visual way to show he was alive and thinking about them.
This episode was different, the "what if" scenario where she joined Negan was crazy too and that ending was epic with the music, sounded like Requiem for a Dream and no spoilers but i think Negan is gonna get screwed over in the next episode.
I don't think Jadis did the portraits at Hilltop, she didn't know any of the people. Maybe the phone, yes. The Japanese/Chinese writing has to mean something.
But how would anyone else know what Judith looks like?? I mean, they never showed anything about Rick being able to draw, let alone glass etching! I mean, he might have an idea of what she might look like, but that was a pretty detailed picture!
@@luckywilson6865 It was established in episode 9x2 that Jadis did the paintings for Maggie. How she was able to get their likeness, never having met those characters, was never addressed though. Perhaps Maggie gave her photographs. Or, more likely, she first sketched them via Maggie's description (like a police sketch artist would).
26:34 I have to disagree, this is by far one of the best episodes of the season if not the past few seasons. I loved the what if factor of it all. The ending with the massive convoy is exciting as hell and gives me chills! Im so hyped for the rick movies its insane. I truly believe Angela Kang has helped bring a new breath of fresh air to the show. Im loving the hell out of this season, may even be one of my top fave seasons! Love yalls reactions and videos. When I saw the characters at the end the hat one of them was wearing made me think of the pioneers from fear it could make sense because the pioneers had 817 people and this takes place years after fear season 5 so they could have grown
"What We Become" ... Everyone's life is based on events that happened to us that brought us to the present. What if Michonnne didn't help Andrea? She would have never met Rick & everyone. She's probably thinking how did she get where she's at that moment or something about that moment triggered the memory of meeting Andrea & the path it took her on. Without Andrea, there's no Rick, no Carl, no Judith & definitely no RJ.
Anne or “Jadis” is an amazing artist. They rehighlighted her art skills in Season 9 and who is she with? Rick Grimes. She definitely drew that picture on the phone
@Eric Graham I think they somehow had been watching the group and rick couldn't bring himself back for their protection. They probably have been watching them through out the years.
According to the translation its telling him to have faith and Scott Gimple confirmed on Talking Dead that someone else did that. So my take is it's a message for him to have faith cause his family is alive. But the question is how does the person know how they look like?
Jadis is able to draw accurate photos of people based off description alone. She drew the photos of Glenn, Beth, and Herschel for Maggie and she drew a photo for Gabriel's old flame. It was Anne

Jadis was the name of the ladie who ran the junkyard people when she got with are people at alexandria they called her ann she got with father gabriel right before she tool off called the helicopter and took rick away and she went with him i bet shes the one who drew that on the phone cause she met all of them michonne and judith and she loved to draw do art she drew the picture on the fun i bet what yall think about it bros thanks for the good video

I think Jadis probably drew it for Rick. We have seen her drawing and painting in the past, she used to be an Art teacher. I reckon she drew it for him and lost it / had to leave it behind. Maybe it was in Rick's pocket when they visited this place and he lost it. The Japanese means "believe a little longer". Carl gave Judith his hat after he died in 8x09. Jadis probably drew it as just an older Judith with long hair and the hat, showing what she might look like currently.
Love this show for Michonne and the amazing actress that plays her. I do not want to see her back until they bring Rick back even if Rick and Michonne are ONLY coming back for "the last show" which would be fine with me as the show BETTER NOT END without Rick back with his family...... that aside will be interesting to see if they Bring Maggie back at the 3rd episode end of this season to help offset the huge loss of Michonne not being on the show again til a wrap up..... Loved the show tho, was very powerful to see how her choice to save Andrea made her the woman, wife and mother she would become.
great reaction, I loved this episode, Danai 's performance was perfection as always and I loved the walkie conversation between Michonne & Judith it was heartbreaking, heartwarming & promising all at the same time and Cailey & Danai's chemistry just flowed even though they were just on walkies, & the What-IF trippy scenes were amazing, definitely gonna miss Michonne on the show but we will for sure see her in one or two of the RICK GRIMES movies I think Anne drew that because she is an artist(She Painted the Glenn, Hershel, Beth and other Paintings that were just Destroyed at Hilltop) also the Japanese lettering i heard means "Believe A Little Longer" so maybe Rick has to work with the group he is with and can't leave But Anne(Jadis) can and she had a phone and snuck to Alexandrea and took a picture and then when the battery was dying on the phone Anne Sketched it onto the screen, Or she just Sketched it on the screen in the first place and it never had power, Or She Just Sketched it from Imagination and never went to Alexandria So it would've been Anne(Jadis) Giving Rick hope, A Picture of his Wife and Daughter Saying "Rick, Believe A Little Longer"
I liked the Andrea stuff and seeing Rick again was awesome. Her being with Negan was something, her using Lucille instead of her sword! She is scary as a savior. And she killed Glen! Crazy how Daryl hit her with his crossbow and the look on her face when her enemy Rick showed up to shoot her in the face! Wow! Is that large group going where Rick is!? Whats up with the square formation? So cool and So many questions!
On Talking Dead, Gimple said that the drawing of current Judith was on purpose... Also, when Virgil said the ship washed up after a storm...the snowstorm in 9x16? And people are saying the big group at the end is Virginia’s group from Fear. Angela Kang confirmed that’s not the CRM
It was a tough thing to do, but when our group took out the Savior's Satellite, it was not totally unwarranted. It was like in wartime; a recon mission. At the Hilltop meeting with Gregory, after our group found out about the Saviors taking over Hilltop, Daryl said, for food, our group would take them out. Our group realized that the Biker group that accosted Daryl, Sasha and Abraham were a part of the Saviors, so our group also knew it was inevitable that the Saviors would find Alexandria. Let's not forget the Savior's reputation, as stated by the Lead Biker Savior (after the credits at end of S6 E8 and a shorter version of the same scene at the opening of S6 E9). He said they usually kill one right off the bat and he was just about to kill Sasha and Abraham and made Daryl take them to Alexandria, if Daryl had not blown them away in the nick of time. … PEACE to ALL … and … STAY HEALTHY!!!
That "what if" is one of the best I've ever seen. Brilliant directing AND editing. In such a short time (and without doing any "real" reshoots !), they managed to create something. McCreary's violins helped a bit. I wish TWD would let him do what he does best more often.

Here's My Theory About The Phone... I Think The Phone Could Of Belonged To Jadis And She Left Rick's Stuff And Her Phone Behind During One Of Her People Pick-ups Also Maybe Jadis Told Virgil About Machonne & Rick! And That's Why Virgil Knew Where To Look For Michonne!
Maybe Rick did that so he could look at them and Judith doesnt look older really ...maybe it's how he imagines her now. Her hair abit longer and the hat Carl gave her she would obviously wear even if he hasn't seen her for 6 years or so... This was such a great send off for Michonne, she ended how I hoped, looking for her true love, the brave man. She also did Rick's words "My mercy prevails over my wrath" but she said in a different way.. Just shows u how people change u. Michonne told Carl she was gone for a long time..but Andrea brought her back, and then Carl & Rick did. Without them she would of stayed gone, dead inside. That writing under Rick name may be a code or message if anyone finds it. Its defined Rick though because the drawing of Michonne is her old hair do, Judith is easy to imagine how shed look now like Carl but a girl version with longer hair....I'm a mom but still can see how my child would look like older. Plus we dont know what Rick has seen or been told during these years away.....I'd say those people will lead to where Rick is. Which will lead to Richonne reunion in the Rick movies.

I think that jadus "anne" drew the picture of Michone and Judith and wrote Rick's name in it. And maybe if she didnt have the alternate reality vision maybe she wouldnt have chose to not kill virgil and if she had killed him she may have not found the boots or the ship....
I bet it was Jadis who etched that pic into Rick’s phone. I think she maybe went back a few years later and saw Judith and then made that picture for Rick... IDK just a thought!
Of course the drawing make sense. Drawing like that is pretty easy and he is the only one who could have drawn this because he did that because he missed them, Jadis didnt, If he would have let jadis draw this it would have been for letting hint behind, and by the distance i dont think thats what it is And it's just few lines drawed, if you erase the hat you wont recognize her anymore it's not detailed

I did have some mixed feelings about this episode, one of which being they didn't promote the episode as her final episode as much as they did with Rick & I don't blame them after seeing this because it had a very different feeling to it than Rick's last episode did. That's not necessarily a bad thing though. I really enjoyed the AU stuff with different choices in Michonne's life! The phone drawing had Judith CURRENTLY so My guess is that it was NOT drawn by Rick, by someone else that's seen Michonne & Judith recently and also is traveling to where Rick has been. One possible plus of this situation is that we will shortly be getting Maggie back!!! Most people that still watch FearTWD are speculating that group at the end is one we were introduced to in the back half of S5 of Fear. OR it's one of those groups from the movies! I understood the alternative timeline as if she never saved Andrea & where things would have led her, ultimately showing her how important Rick & everyone she's met along the way truly was to her.
If you look at these people at the end they are dressed exactly the same as Virginia in fear the walking dead and you can hear horses in the convoy. CRM people are using helicopters. For me all the shows will cross for a final.

The cell phone thing might be pretty simple really. My guess is that when Rick was picked up by the helicopter they made a stop to patch him up and while he was there they told him that he's not going back so while (captured) he found a cell phone and started to carve his family into the screen. As for it being an older version of Judith on the screen, he obviously imagined a future version of her.
I instantly saw Carl with his long hair in the hat, not Judith. Maybe the Chinese characters have some reference to "Dido" (sp?) Remember Jadis/Anne was a artist (she did all those paintings in Maggies office at Hilltop too. Although they don't look to be by the same artist (the phone and the paintings) but Rick was saved by Anne so maybe?? All in all i enjoyed this episode as a send off of Michonne. What a incredible performance by her the last 7 seasons. Bravo Danai and thank you!! Oh...and that convoy is awfully reminiscent of the people out gang from Fear are beefing with as we left off. All of this connection is fabulous to me!!!
If Michonne was with Negan in that timeline, i can't even imagine how Rick would be if Rick wasn't saved by Morgan in another one. He probably would be the "Negan" of that alternate timeline! these "what if" scenarios would make a great comic or show. I think the direction she went might have an intersection between Fear and Rick movies...but he don't even know when she will enter in the movies because they don't have every script for the three movies yet. It's quite confusing...but I believe she will be with Rick due to the boots and the "Anne" drawing. I think it was the best thing I've ever seen about Walking Dead and Angela Kang (excluding some stuff with Virgil)
That was an amazing episode I had chills! Showing how Michonne could have been just from the making of that one decision she would have been on the other side of things, it was brill to see! I definitely think that there will be a Michonne mini series, like the World Beyond one, that will show Michonnes travels on the road to find Rick before she comes to the movie. Great video cant wait for next wk to see the reaction to Neegan taking Alpha s head and also Daryl finding out about Rick

Jadis was an artist, maybe she drew that on a phone FOR Rick, like a pic on your phone ya look at when ya want, thats how i took it anyway... we know she is good enough to be able to add a lil age to Judith and be somewhat similar, and somewhere along the line they had to flee the boat and that stuff was left behind.. makes sense to me anyway, lol great ep, great season!
I think the group Michonne joined at the end is The CommonWealth and she's heading right towards Rick without even knowing it. I think the first Rick movie will focus on him after the helicopter group saved him and his beginning years at Commonwealth and then Michonne will arrive in the second movie to find Rick with amnesia { explains why he never got back to his family in seven years } from the bridge explosion married to Anne with children of their own. Rick will have to remember Michonne and the life they shared together and then in the third movie they will take down the bad guys together.

it makes no sense but, morgan learned to use a stick from the eastman and he gave him a book which i think was written japanese also he taught morgan aikido so maybe morgan also learned japanese and the way he says clear some how shows that morgan was his influence, idk man... this episode is definitely in my top 5
Michonne probably carved that out on the iphone and gave it to Rick. He probably carried it around with him and was probably on him during his last episode.
i can guarantee rick will be a different sort of good guy in the movies. messed up and all soldiered up not really recognising michonne the way he did and them having to regain a bond. i dunno maybe rick has moved in a mental way that had detached him since he was last in twd

I wonder if Anne drew the pic on that screen on the phone for Rick or for someone to find. It wouldnt be hard to imagine how Judith would look as an older child especially putting the hat on her so it wouldnt be hard for her to draw Michonne and Judith and also there was only Michonne and Judith no RJ which makes sense cos Rick didnt know about RJ so would just want a pic of them 🤔.
I had to watch the episode twice to appreciate how awesome it was! The first time I watched it I was kind of confused but Danai acted her a** off. I believe Jadis did the drawing on the cell phone we still don’t know her whole story. Danai will definitely be in the movies, to shake it up rick needs a movie , Michonne needs one then they need one together of them trying to get home. Great reaction video guys
I think Jadis sketched the phone Judith is about 10 not four. If Jadis saw Michone and Judith from a distance she could have done the sketch and given it to Rick recently.
