I've hated cliffhanger episodes ever since the negan lineup. That 6 month wait was brutal. Lea might have survived this episode, but I don't see her lasting long in part 2.
Definitely guys!!!...keep up all the good work. Also I would like to extend a very warm and special thanks for how you guys have made the Cornavirus of 2020 and 2021 be something I could forget about when I watch your vids. From my Family to both of yours, thank you again. PS SORRY ABOUT OMAHA LOL
It was when Darly killed that one soldier after she murdered the pope is when she looked at Darly as the enemy. Look at her face expression when she looked at his body then looked at Darly. Family First💁🏿♀️
@@katakafunnehschannel6620 - Pope is probably the worst villian ever where he just couldn't act and those cringworthy pauses are mesmerizing NOT. Shame such an amazing show has gone to absolute S$$t.
Quick thing you need to remember. Leah didn't necessarily leave The Reapers, she got seperated from them. In her first episode, she mentioned how she, Matthew (her adoptive son), and Dog's Mother were seperated from the rest of the group during a walker attack. In that, she thought her family was gone and never to be seen again thus meaning she still cared for them deeply despite what may have been happening at that time.
I think Leah's decision makes some sense. She still views the Reapers as family, and Pope had become a threat to that family. She took care of that threat and then turned to the next threat, the zombies and enemies within the walls. Leah and Daryl would never work because their families are on opposing sides. Even though Leah and Daryl may have started to think of each other as family, if Daryl had to choose between our group and Leah, he would choose our group just like she chose the Reapers.
A bit like Romeo and Juliet. Lol. I respect Leah for her choice, I'm not really too mad at her. You have to think about this in Leah's point of view. Her seeing her "brothers" getting killed is like Rick losing Daryl, Glenn and Michonne in one go. This is her family so it makes sense on what she's doing.
Leah used Darryl as cover. If she let Pope kill Darryl then Lope was still going to sacrifice her family. By killing Pope and blaming Darryl , Leah can make sure her team does not suspect her and she can be the leader.
After Pope died Daryl killed Leahs guy without even pausing. That was why she new Daryl wouldn’t choose her family. Also who needs Leah! Connie is back!
Leah killing Pope wasn't her choosing Daryl over the reapers, that was her doing what was best for her group because Pope has been spiraling into madness and getting so many of his own killed. I don't think she necessarily wanted to become leader but if it meant keeping her family from all dying, she would and has done it
The whole point of Rosita going out to kill the Walkers, is to show us (the viewer) how at that moment Rosita resembled Michonne in Judith's eyes. You can see it in the decision she made of going out there, the delegation of what everyone should do at that moment, the way she was fighting the Walkers with a weapon that resembles a sword and especially in the silhouette when they let her back into the house...she looked exactly like Michonne. My guess is that Judith is going to start looking for a Mother-figure in Rosita.
Just FYI, Leah never "left" the Reapers. In "Find Me" she told Daryl that her group ran into a herd. In the chaos, everyone scattered. She eventually wound up at the cabin with her adopted son, who had been bitten. She didn't know where the others were, or if they were still alive, so apparently she chose to stay at the cabin until they found her again.
This episode was sooo good! I think we’ll have the reapers around for maybe a couple more episodes tops. Maybe we’ll get a Leah vs Maggie fight in the next episode. I can’t wait for February! Great reaction guys!
I don't think Leah was trying to protect Darryl at all. I think she was shifting the blame from her to Darryl so she could take over, Darryl lied to her so it was never to protect him. She actually didn't leave the Reapers, as someone else stated here they were separated.
I think she left the reapers and went to that cabin maybe for the same reason Carol left the group to live in that house near the kingdom in season 7, they were both dealing with a lot. She then eventually went back just like carol did because it was still her family. I think it also shows just how alike Daryl and Leah are because just like Leah said she’d do anything for her Reaper family, Daryl would do anything for our group.
And how in the world are all the kids except Judith and Herschel so clueless and helpless?? They should be taught how to fight as soon as they are able! Kids can't just be kids anymore, which was something Carl and Carol understood and did what had to be done! I was so annoyed with the Gracie storyline. And now she's put Judith in danger, and whoever else comes to look for them. Not her fault, I totally blame Aaron for this. Standing near open windows, wandering off during a time of distress...UGH
You are sooo right about the spot Rosita had during her defense (the high ground) of the house. Not only did she have that but, she also had what Leonidas did at the Battle of Thermopylae... a bottleneck.
While the cliffhanger angered me, the land mines outside of Meridian were such a strange choice. The sound from the explosions would just draw more walkers. I think they might pull a page out of Fear season 6's book and have the Reaper storyline wrap up in episode 9.
When Leah saw Daryl killed the other guy with the "hwacha", that triggers her cause it's her Family. Leah killed pope cause she finally realized that He's a threat to his "Family" and so as Daryl. Sorry for my grammar, english is not my first language 😅
We do know why Leah split from the group and it was not a conscious decision, she said that her family got attacked and that’s when her son died or whatever and they got separated
Maggie had a community that was doing well the reapers came in while she was out dealing with walkers with Elijah and cole they heard screams coming from her community the reapers killed the people there and took it from her
I agree that the Reaper storyline is missing a lot of context. It's disappointing because this was the storyline I was looking forward to the most. I'm not sure if Leah left the group or somehow got separated from them. But if she left I don't agree that it means she didn't love them as much as she says. Carol left in season 6 because she couldn't deal with the constant fighting, killing and war. Daryl went off on his own for the better part of 5 or 6 years after Rick's disappearance. They both still deeply loved the group they just needed space to deal with things. Same with Maggie when she left. I think Daryl not killing Leah is going to come back to haunt him in a big way. I think she's going to kill someone very close to him. He'll probably kill her after that.
Leah didn't voluntarily leave her family, she explained in 10x18 that she became separated from them when they were overrun by a herd and she, her son, and dog's then pregnant mother just kept running. That's how they came to be at the cabin, only her son had been bitten and died that same day. Afterwards she didn't look for her people, not until she decided to leave Daryl.
I don’t blame Leah, she was with these people even before she met Daryl some of them before the apocalypse I think. Pope went crazy and that is why she killed him, I feel like she still sees the Reapers as her family, the reapers are a tight group like Rick’s group in season 5. I think with Pope dead the Reapers are way less dangerous though because I don’t see Leah taking risks like Pope did.
Loved the episode! I'm wondering how long the Reaper arc lasts, bc the actress who plays Leah was on Talking Dead only a few weeks back, but she was there remotely and on location in Georgia. So I'm not sure if it's going to be over as soon as we think. Didn't think Leah would kill Pope but I'm not mad at it. All of the Alexandria stuff this season was just filler to me - we don't need to see them rebuilding in almost every episode. They could have spent more time developing the Reaper or Commonwealth story.
I totally agree that Alexandria was a 'filler'. Does anyone else think that Gracie is going to die? I hope not but whenever they give a lot of screen time to a character that isn't super popular, they die an episode or two later😣. I'm also wondering if anyone else thinks Rosita got bit?🤔 I so look forward to watching your guys reactions and reviews! Can't wait to see you for part 2!
What a giant let down. Pope was supposed to be some mean, bad-ass SOB. He got taken out like a run of the mill walker. If it was that easy to take him out, one of the Reapers would have already done it long time ago.
I think he has been unraveling along time now. Every episode he is more and more unreasonable. In the end he was willing to sacrifice his family to win. Leah could risk her family. Used daryl as a cover to kill pope no one expected her now she is the leader.
Given the pictures of Rosita in 11B I think that she at least got scratched in that Malay in this episode. And if I recall typically a person survives a little bit longer with a scratch than a bite, but they eventually succumb to it.
So, Pope is dead now and we still don't know so much....why he marked Maggie and did he know the truth about Daryl. Great episode overall and another great reaction.
Daryl was not her family . Leah didn't leave the Reaper's she was separated from them because of a herd and her adopted son who was hurt. That's how she ended up with dog. I knew Daryl was not going to end up with Leah . Someone in the group is going to kill her. I don't know
I agree that the Alexandria part kind of felt filler except for the Vigirl and Judith dialogue, they could've added some Commonwealth stuff cause it's the part 1 finale
The final of part a Was badass , omg I got goosebumps when Leah and Maggie just Look at each other , ohh my gohdddd!!!!!! It will take 5 months again?? To release the episode 9!!!!
If you go back to the episode when she pulled off her mask and Daryl seen that it was her she said something to the extent like they never stopped looking for me so maybe she was lost at some point.
Leah chose the rest of her people over Pope and then chose them again over Daryl. Also, if she had told her guys that she is the one who killed Pope, I feel like they would have killed her for killing Pope because they wouldn't have understood why she killed him. I believe that Leah is in 3 episoes in the next set of 8 , but I don't think the rest of the Reapers will be around past episode 9.
I COULD SEE THAT LEAH WAS QUESTIONING POPE WITH EVERY THING TO GET THE OTHERS TO FOLLOW HER. I THINK WE DIDNT SEE ROSITA FIGHT... BECAUSE OTHERS TALK ABOUT A BIG KILL... MAYBE SHE WAS BIT AND WE WONT FIND OUT TILL LATER?????
If Leah originally defected, Pop would have killed her when they found her. If they didn't kill her, she defnitely wouldn't be in that high of a position within the group after defecting. I think she just was separated from the group somehow.
negans got the 'smiliey face' mask.. i want to call them 'megan and naggie' when they work together like that. lea and darryl are so similar in their family loyalties and lies/secrets. its such a tit for tat, that they could be siblings not lovers.. very alike. i do like lea, i hope she somehow lives and we get to know her better over time.
This was the best of the first 8. That opening, killer.. Everything that happened I wanted except Leah not dying. Wished that happened. But I enjoyed it. Didn't like the end, like oh no, Maggie, Negan, and the other are Dead!!!!! No there not. I didn't like that. There obviously going to survive so why???? On to the Commonwealth. Great video guys.
I love season 11 but man it’s hard to wait again! I remember watching Lost. When I watched the weekly episodes I didn’t rate it that much. A few years later I watched the whole thing from beginning to end and I was hooked. It blew me away. Did the same with TWD, watched to season 4 then revisited it a couple of months ago and again I’m hooked. There is something about waiting for weekly episodes (or longer) that kinda makes the season lose its appeal. I was going to wait till it ended to watch this season but I was hooked after binge watching season 1 through 10 so couldn’t wait. You would think by now shows would release full seasons at a time with the popularity of streaming services, but alas, we now wait once again …
Man I hope Rosita doesnt get the Andrea treatment in the comics. There was blood in her neck and she looked so shocked and in terror...maybe she got a small scratch or something?
I never trusted Leah from the very first episode with her staying at the cabin. And if she survives and runs off why would/should Daryl go chasing a woman who turned on him in the manner that she did?
One more thing its pouring wouldn't the fire go out in the windmill? I mean what's Aaron gonna do throw water on it right? So y not just see if the rain will take it out its not like a drizzle its like a damn hurricane
There's a roof over the windmill so I don't think the rain would hit the inside and that's were the fire was there were like small windows on it but I don't think the rain would make inside too much also they want it out as soon as possible because the windmill is so tall that the fire light will draw in more walkers and everyone else went to try to fix the gate.
I don't think he was necessarily indoctrinated fully to her as being all in. She had hope Darryl would be all in but probably kept him at arm's length. Admittedly, yeah, it's weird she takes pity on a family hiding in a basement cause the mom got bit and let the dad and son go but can't feel compassion for Darryl enough but - she is a messy contradiction.
Best season so far in ages imo. So much going on. So glad Pope has gone. Crap character but Leah wow! Fab. Daryl is gonna have to kill her. Not yet but soon.
Isn't there an episode in season 10 where Maggie refers to a group (monologue) that 'came rollin' in and destroyed everything.' (The time she was away from the group.) I'm guessing we'll have some sort of flashback - concerning Maggie - Pope (and his group) and maybe Elijah - who could be a former reaper? (Mask) I am also not that big a fan of Leah - who wants to look like a battle hardened character - while she is being torn to all sides. Her visual and emotional aspect doesn't seem convincing.
Are you talking about episode 9? The other review Channel said we don't get that until February? I have AMC+ always able to watch episodes on Wednesday. That did NOT happen with episode 9... you're talking about 8 episode that was LAST Sunday. Pope's dead happened LAST SUNDAY
I'm just gonna copy/paste my comment from another video and apologies *I'm maddd long winded* here bear with me on this one. I would have liked this as a ep 4 way more but as part 1 finale of the final season,, I'm kinda disappointed 😔 so here are my thoughts in no particular order: *Leah/Daryl* : I do think she cared for him and/or hoped it could be something again but I saw it as as soon as he said *"my people"* she got her feelings hurt all over again like she did at the cabin. She was pissed then he "chose" his 7yr lost best friend/brother and the search for him over a life with her. *THAT'S* when she decided to tell Carver specifically (b/c she even mentioned him by name and he's had a total stiffy to kill Daryl from jump) that he murdered Pope. And wth happened to them using the masks?!?! They introduced them with these scary masks and then they just forgot all about em 🤷🏽♀️ *Elijah* : the more time passes I don't think he was a Reaper. I can't now see him 1: as a mercenary, hell I don't think he would have even been old enough to serve before the world fell and the Reapers all served together prior. 2: his sister was with him and they have no outside family in their group. I think now the siblings were just living at Meridian with Maggie and maybe he picked up some badass skills 🤷🏽♀️ not to mention he may have quite literally just picked up the mask along the way aswell. Shame on TWD if there is no actual connection b/c they sold that to us for over a year and we were excited about it. I do think Carver may have killed his sister though. *IF* that story line produces any fruit at all they need to fulfill the "the one guy is mine" line Elijah said referring to him killing a Reaper and he's the only named one left. Idk we'll see I guess but by that time will we even really care?!? As a whole the Reaper story line could have been omitted imo. *Leah told us in ep 7 "WHY" they had it out for Maggie and it was lame 😒. She said they took over Meridian and now they had to hunt down and kill everyone left in Maggie's crew (and anyone associated to her) to ensure they don't come back and try to take it back.* THAT'S IT?!?! I mean we did that back in Season 6 with the satellite station just wayyyy more awesome. On to *Alexandria* : I actually would have like it better if they omitted the Reapers and just showed us every one trying to get Alexandria patched up and *then* spent 2 or 3 great episodes on this storm. *I think the importance of the storm will be that it's going to be Alexandria's official demise.* (I have not read the comics but If I understand, everyone eventually ends up at the Common Wealth??🤔🤷🏽♀️) They could have made the storm creepy/spooky like Connie's episode, shown a ton of destruction they just simply will be unable to repair and spent time on character development there. Just my opinion Ultimately for the series final season to introduce and spend 8 episodes on new characters that won't make it to the finale was a big miss for me. I would have *MUCH* preferred story and tragedy to have been spent specifically on OUR people. Maggie and Negan could have still "resolved" things and the characters Maggie brought in be the only newbies we needed. In a nutshell I would have much preferred "the next big bad" be the reason we all fell in love with TWD in season 1: Walkers, personal relationships and conflict. We didn't need a new villain between the Whispers and Common Wealth story lines. Lastly, lol have we *still* not learned kids MUST have constant supervision!?!?! Lol. These lil shits stayyyyy putting themselves and others in harms way!!! Can't belive the 1st 8 episodes are over already!! 🥺 Love seeing your reactions though and thanks for adding fun to our Walking Dead experience ❤ you two always add great perspective and insight. Looking forward to Part 2 already 😀
I could see a reaper spin off in the works to see how it came about the coming after Maggie and what happened between the time they found Leah and then
I’m not annoyed at Leah. She kept true to her family. She didn’t choose Daryl. It had nothing to do with Daryl. I actually respect her more. Her family, and his family. She gave him a head start. Reapers are her family. Same as Daryl for doing things dirty. Did she leave or did she get lost? Leah made it sound like she was lost and got disconnected, and somehow found. Reapers just recently got Meridian. Maybe she didn’t know how to get back, because there wasn’t a central place. I’m not a Leah fan, just saying.
I didn't like the look on Rosita's face with the statement "stay away from the windows". Was she bitten or did she see something out there she didn't want the kids to see?
Disappointed in Leah, she didn't choose Darryl over Pope she choose her family over Darryl family. You think about it makes sense Leah told Darryl this is my family its all I know is these people she didn't agree with Pope killing her family yet Darryl did the same thing killed her family to protect his family. I don't see Leah as bad just protecting her family its the part were missing some how someone attacked Leah group she got separated ended up with Darryl found piece but we need to know who the Reapers really are is it just a group of Mercs no other people or do they protect a bunch of people that can't defend themselves. I think Leah is protecting her people no difference then Maggie protecting her own people. The difference is Maggie sac one of her in the rail car and Leah wouldn't do that does that make her better person then Maggie! Its a double standard we all think using the dead by the Whispers was evil unless our group does it to kill another living person got ya its perspective like Negan said your group murdered my people first and took a baby so I should of killed all of you sounds like POPE today! Yikes so many people bring that up reminds me of Daniel in Karate kid was he actually the villain or was it Johnny ? Watch Cobra Kai its not so clear we see both actually are good just think differently. I want Leah to live, I think she makes a deal with Darryl instead of killing everyone in Darryl group she allows them to leave and gives them 1/2 the food but vows you every come back I will kill all of you. Maggie don't love the deal she wanted every Reaper to die but Darryl wants Leah to live and now she killed Pope vendetta or Mark is over. I think then Leah keeps dog later at the end of TWD the dog comes back without Leah making Darryl worry about her giving him a exit off the show to leave and check on Leah with Carrol. Sounds good to me everyone needs to get over the fact we all think Darryl group are heroes bottom line Rick killed Negan people at the time to Negan they were not and no matter who started the war with Maggie she is killing Leah family right now so to Leah its Darryl family that is the enemy killing the people she loves. Sorry but its all in perspective if we have seen this show since day one in Leah eyes we be like kill that Bitch Maggie!! SEE
