Brooke - I'm glad someone else talks to the characters too. Some 'interesting' conversations in this one, and moral dilemmas and decisions which should be easy, but getting everyone to agree never is. Also, I've seen David Morrissey in lots of different things, and his chilling performance as the Governor shows just what a good actor he is (I went from watching him as a dedicated, honest police detective to watching him in this, which was just a tiny bit jarring!). Definitely agree that they gave him the eyepatch to make him extra menacing.
The acting in these past couple of episodes has been amazing. David Morrissey plays such a great villain. He gives off that charming side to the governor so well that it's easy to see how you can believe he has good intentions. Those are some of the scariest types of villains because they can convince you to let your guard down. We'll need to look up some other things he's done.
The reason the Governor wants Michonne is revenge for her taking his eye and “killing” Penny. Yes Rick has gone a little cold, he has to be in this world! I don’t agree that Glenn would make a better leader look how he just handled the whole situation with Maggie. His emotions took over and all he could see was getting revenge on the governor and would have made rash decisions storming Woodbury if they didn’t stop him 🤷🏽♀️ In my opinion you need a leader that will make the hard calls that no one else can make for the sake of the whole group and unfortunately it probably does make you have to be pretty cold. I can’t see anyone else in the group being able to stand up to the Governor as well as Rick does. Love hearing your opinions though that’s what this show is all about! It evokes feelings toward certain characters scenes and situations 👍🏼😊
After watching a little bit more I do agree about Glen, his judgement was clouded with rage and I think at some point he could lead, but he’s not ready. Herschel can think the most clearly and is the voice of reason in the group so I’d lean on him. Rick is still one of our favorite characters but his mental state to lead is in question sometimes but you made a great point. And you’re right I think he matches up well the governor who is a sociopath. Love your comment! 😁
I’ve watched other reaction channels where they just sit there and stare at the screen and I hate that because I want to hear their opinions, so when we started our reaction channel I wanted to make sure I wasn’t just sitting there! I do talk more than Brad does, but that’s because he already knows what happened in the show, he’s watched it before!
