I am left with such guilt... I totally feel like I walked AJ into this path, trying to get him ready for all out there, when in fact I just confused the poor boy
I think you didn’t do anything wrong. He isn’t supposed to be exactly like Clementine when she was his age. He’s not the silent sidekick Clem was with Lee. He’s taking action whether we want it or not. All we can do is teach him how to act properly. And this is where we all go different ways :)
You know the raiders that Marlon came the twins away to, they could have been the same 1 that attacked lee/clem and the others at the motel, and Lily could have ended up joining them, when she was left on the street.
Why do the old characters have to come back? We don’t have a solid idea where this takes place, but last season Clem was in Virginia and she started in Georgia. Not only that, this group seems to possibly be a religious cult or something of those sorts. Lilly wouldn’t be joining a group like this and never mind the fact she was based off of a comic character, even if she was replaced by the novel counterpart it makes no logical sense and we don’t always need characters to come back. They can just be somewhere else in the world or dead. Kenny and David both coming back was enough of a miracle for me. If Christa and Lilly somehow find a displaced Clem then it really must be fate shining down on her.
The game has been confirmed to be based on the book, not the TV show. She may be based on a comic book character, but she's her own character, at least in the TTG universe. Also, I wouldn't expect Christa to join the raider game, the last we saw her she was being shot at by raiders. The raiders in the woods weren't the same as Carver's gang, so it's not too far off she'd be taken as a prisoner.
Jack 2g I think they still did a good job because you feel like your choice matter and I am sure they could do many storylines but we could not play this game now but much later
I just hope we can make sure that AJ never gets a gun again. It seems like he hits and shoot everything and everyone who he thinks it is a ''monster''. He is like the dog Rosie. If Clem is not there to stop him, he just hurts and kills people who startled him and who he thinks it is evil. This is just too dangerous.
Goddammit AJ i liked Marlon i literally thought he had potential. After all he did save you and Clem. I really do hope Telltale adds an ending where Marlon survives.
This was honestly a really great starting episode. Sometimes you have to return to the track and this is one of those. To me, Telltale works best by making the character relationships choices matter more than the storyline ones and they proved that with Batman. This season is just getting started and everything is feeling great so I am willing to give them a chance to show us what they can do with this. The episode was a real shocker.
The Hawk ikr man I can’t believe marlon died in the first episode! Like what?! I thought he would make it to episode 4 for sure lol. But man that was very well written by telltale. That basement scene was amazing, had me worried for Clem’s life in the 1 episode lmao. Let alone this episode was 2 hours and 20mins. Like holy shit
Wouldn't say the best but its definitely up there. Imo season 1 episode 2 was the best. The cannibal twist was insane and this kinda reminded me of it.
Why can’t they let us do what we want to do? Like mind our own business and ignore Marlon and Brody’s argument, not saying I’d do that myself but the gameplay is so linear and forces you to do things but where are the choices in that??? How do those matter?
Fucking Telltale never learns. Even if you tell AJ to “save the last bullet for yourself” he still shoots the guy. I highly doubt that there was only 1 shot left in that pistol and he wasn’t in danger during that moment at all.
21:57 thanks for actually picking this option. i had to go through 5 previous ending videos just to see this one, and i'm glad someone's actually done it. can't say it was worth the effort though, lol. thanks anyway, i liked your vid.
i have so many mixed emotions about this episode, i really don’t know if i agree with what aj did, only because i don’t want it to create a backlash on clementine- as they did say that even though marlon did what he did, he was still family. and now i’m just scared at how they’ll react towards aj himself. (if they want to throw him out, both him and clementine out or if they’ll question how clementine brought him up. maybe something from the new frontier will come up?) i finished the episode and went on youtube in hopes that there was a seperate ending, but as always, it’s the same thing. no choices, just a different voice line. no point in restarting the episode for that. i go by what i told aj to do for the mostpart, and i’m happy i did go in blind. but this episode really puts a taste in my mouth.
Yes, Telltale's The Walking Dead series has been known to end episodes in one way (usually only the last episode of the season gives some ending-changing decisions). However, instead of being viewed as an interactive story, it should be viewed as horror's post-apocalyptic visual novel. I do understand the viewpoint of consumers who still believe in the notion that Telltale should really make the choices matter as they have informed the player of at the beginning of each episode (I think). I would finish this comment off with a call to action for anyone reading, but this is the comments section where people can make their own decisions.
Bruce Wayne come on even telltale doesn’t have the enough balls to outrightly kill a child unless they had an accident or end up bitten. Duck, Sarah, Mariana, and Gabe. After all the others dying out of our control, They better not touch AJ or make us shoot him.
All things clem taught to Aj, was to not hesitant and protect himself, but really, it wasn’t that.. She only taught him how to be ruthless. Without teaching him about people relations, Aj will not learn to care about others but Clem I feel like it won’t do good in the future, because he’ll literaly try to shoot anyone the first second they come up to Clem,, lucky it was Marlon this time, but what if it was someone of a clan, or somebody that actually worth a chance?
The whole "Dead" thing they showed at the credits really made me think that Brody and Marlon could've survived, but they can't. It's... misleading and extremely dissapointing, but I mean it's Telltale, right?
Alex Trin It’s the final season though. They learned their lesson with determinant characters like Conrad who can survive all throughout ANF. Why couldn’t they do the same here? Just feels rushed man.
Well, I think AJ is just stupid, everything became normal, Marlon did not has a gun and didn't threat someone, but he still did a shot, omg. Well, that is my opinion
That would make sense if Clem is in Washington but I don’t think she’s there. If you read the comics you may know that that’s were rick meets them for the first time, also if they were the saviors they wouldn’t ask for the girls ‘cause you know Negan hates everything that is involved with rape.
Kenny is dead or in Florida ... cause even if he makes it to Wellington in alone ending .. New Frontier take down Wellington. So he would die there or leave like Clem did. And him and Clem head to Florida so even if Kenny is alone he probably headed to Florida if he lived.
He was blessed by revolver ocelot himself, as for the english part, i hope you didn't grow up in a shack somewhere because it is not that rare to see a kid speaking english that well if the parents (or parent) do/does their job of passing knowledge to their kid instead of letting him do fuck all the whole day sitting infront of the tv or monitor for the most part of the day
Not many episodes, bar finale’s, have a unique ending. I can think of only Season 2 Episode 1. Even at that it wasn’t a big difference. Telltale’s style seems to be moulding character relationships than branching story paths. We’ll see where it goes but I am honestly fine with this, and the episode overall was very decent.
I got a “hardened” Aj at the end of episode 1. I’m trying to turn him into a family-oriented fighter and I have no Idea if that was a step towards that or away from it. I mean c’mon, sending him into a dark room without knowing what’s in there just so two walkers can remain walkers is irresponsible and stupid. And giving away food to a guy who points a gun at my boys face isn’t exactly smart or protective either.
because he was blaming clem the fault and if she didn't have proof like *dont say anything* can kill so AJ was so fucking shit bird goof ball angry that he shot him like a pay back..*thats my theorie*
Alex Tota I thought it’s because base off the choices you make in the game influences AJ it’s like real life having a kid and the child goes off your actions you make and how you act
ruth duarard your welcome but as of lately telltale is laying off more and more people and running into more and more financial trouble so it may effect the time between each episode releases and also that's why wolf among us season 2 got pushed back until 2019
Clever move Telltale, putting Clementine as a protagonist so you don't have to bother with storytelling, choices or gameplay. People will buy any shit with Clementine on it so they don't even have to put work on it. Sad!
I mean, she is the central character of this story, even if Season 3 opted to have her as a deuteragonist again. Not to mention everyone was asking for her back. Either way, they have actually made vast improvements. This episode was like Season 1 levels of awesome.
Yeah because clem was protagonist in season 3 and we all know how well that went right? You kids complained about clem being a side character in season 3 and youre now complaining about clem being a main character.
