After seeing all six episodes, I think one major change that would have helped the story a lot would have been getting rid of the Thorne character, and giving Jadis most of that storyline. Although I was okay with the actress and her portrayal of Throne, it added nothing. Instead of giving us the evil side of Jadis, again...after she flip flopped 7 times in the main show, have her be somewhat good and add some more complexity to her...instead of trying to force it on the audience her final moments. Have her and Rick rising up the Ranks together, both being conflicted between staying and changing the CRM from within and escaping to get back to Gabriel and Michonne. Jadis is an artist, why not have it been her that drew on the phone early on to convince Rick to hang on. Then by the 5/6 year mark we see that Jadis is fully onboard with the CRMs mission.
That grenade scene was so dumb and felt like it was a season ending cliffhanger they had no choice but to come up with the stupidest way to write themselves out of that corner

The episode sucked! It ruined the whole thing for me. Why did they bother if this is what they produced? The whole episode was complete shit. They spend the entirety of episode 4 going in circles and endless repetitive dialogue but only commit one episode to taking down the entire CRM. And don't get me started on the reunion. Absolute cheese.
First off, I absolutely loved the “Damn It” cuts😂😂😂. The finale was better than I expected after having episodes 4 and 5 suck so bad. I thought it was a little too easy for michonne to find the note. I figured it would have been in a safe and michonne would struggle with getting it open and draw attention to herself. I thought the explosion killing all of crm soldiers was dope. However teasing us with ricks death like they did Glenn in season 6 was annoying. And the reunion u got right. It was terrible. I was hoping it would take place in the gates of Alexandria. Seeing the community aged and survivors surround Rick, michonne, and the kids. I was also hoping the finale would end on a cliff hanger with Carol saying she lost coms with Daryl and season 2 being about finding Daryl. Awesome review man. I’m pretty sure I can tell which episodes Gimple wrote 😂 gotta hand it to him, give him 5 years to think of a plot for him to finish it with RJs “I believed” is crazy but not unlike how he treated world beyond- it’s like he’s living in a different dimension and he’s never talked to a real person and how they actually say things and think. I miss the grittiness and raw humanity that the first seasons of the walking dead had and it’s crazy these types of writers are the ones that keep getting work over the good ones (esp fear of the walking dead writers in season 4-8, like wtf??? They had to have had blackmail on some higher ups bc damn they had actually some of the worst writing of all time and it somehow got worse)

I'm going to be honest with you, watching an episode of TWD is like running and crashing into a wall, waiting for it to fall, hoping for a different result than before, that's crazy. Yesterday I was disappointed with the ending of this spinoff, my sister told me (she's never watched twd), "maybe the problem isn't that you're too overcritical, maybe the show is just stupid and bad." The explosion scene, Thorne, Rick and Michonne miraculously survived, the grenade scene, the poor context of Echelon Briefing, that Rick and Michonne just two people take down an entire army (not even Von Stauffenberg would have intended it better), all of this and perhaps it sounds arrogant, but this show its writting insults my intelligence, and I'm tired of the low quality and mediocre story in this franchise, I don't want to eat this sh*t anymore because I don't enjoy it, this is hollow for me now. I enjoy your reviews, and I appreciate your sincerity, but I'm done with TWDU, I will continue watching your videos and keep going, btw you made a good duo with Jerry, I hope to see another video from you, maybe about your work...I don't know but I'll be here.
I was enjoying this episode up until Rick killed General beal. What a waste of a character/villain they be building up only then to be killed off. The last episode felt so rushed. If they’re not going to make a season 2, at least add 10 or 13 episodes in this spin off, hell I don’t even mind if it’s 16 episodes again like how it was in the original series. It just feels like to me that Scott gimple only rushed their storyline and make this into a 6 episode mini series, so fans would stop asking “where’s Rick?”. Very disappointing how it turned out.
This show is terrible. Sure there are good qualities sprinkled in but if it makes you angry watching it, it’s not good. There is so much cringe and bad writing. Too many moments that require you to suspend your disbelief to an unreasonable level that it’s beyond distracting. If they were going to do such a poor job finishing Rick’s story it would have been better to leave it up to imagination.
I think my biggest problem with The Walking Dead is this lack of normal human behavior from so many of its characters. They say such odd things. It’s like a show written by aliens or robots trying to mimic people, but fundamentally misunderstanding people at the same time. When RJ says “I knew you’d come back” a normal person would have just hugged him or said “Me too.” Gimple-speak Rick asks “How?” And RJ replies “Because I believed.” This. Is. Not. How. Actual. People. Talk But i guess what do we expect from a ' make a wish kid ' 😂🤣😂🤣

After episode 5 I thought for sure they would not be able to wrap it all up as quickly as they did. Plus at the reunion where the hell was the rest of Alexandria? I would have expected a bigger welcome party.
I quite liked how it ended but, I was disappointed that the CRM were taken out that easy I would have hoped that it ended with Rick bringing everyone to the CRM so that the crossover show would happen lol. Regarding Thorne’s accent it’s a Cape Coloured accent in South Africa and yes people in South Africa does talk like that especially Lesley-Ann Brandt since she’s originally from Cape Town.

SPOILERS FOR THE ONES WHO LIVE Describing it as a roller coaster with that one big loop near the end completely sums it up. There was a bunch of stuff that I really liked but by Christ what was that ending. I really don't mind a happy ending but not one where I'm cringing. The things that I liked: At the start of the episode, I really liked the editing and imagery of when they showed scenes from the main show whenever the characters were referring to their past. Like when General Beale asked Rick what was the worst thing he did to someone to save another life. I loved how they showed Shane, Tomas, Terminus, and Joe The Claimer. Those little parts throughout the episode I liked because they mostly referred to the older seasons of the main show instead of the dumpster fire that were the later seasons. I also liked the way the conversation was between Beale and Rick when it came to the tension and how Beale used the weapons on the table as a sign of trust... Until Rick completely fucked his shit up XD And like what you said, I also liked when Rick put Beale's and the other CRM Soldier's bodies into the box to use them and the tension that was there for it. At first I thought that Rick was just gonna release their bodies and have them attack soldiers to infect them or something, thinking about it that would've been pretty fucking stupid. I also liked how Michonne used what she learned from Nat when it came to the explosives and I liked how they used the CRM's own weapons against them. Giving them a taste of their own medicine. Now when Michonne ripped up Jadis' notes on Alexandria, I shouted at the TV "Are ya fucking stupid, Michonne?!" because I saw her ripping it up and leaving it on the floor. If Saul Goodman can create a class action lawsuit by putting shredded paper back together then the CRM can figure out about Alexandria by putting a few ripped pieces of paper back together. I was like "BURN THAT SHIT!!!". However, Michonne did grab all of the ripped-up paper and put it in her pockets so I was like "Oh thank Christ...." XD Now with the things I didn't like: This episode was way too short to be the finale. If it had an extra 15 mins that would've been a lot better expanding on Beale and Rick. General Beale was just wasted potential. Thorne has been a thorn in my side throughout this show XD I like the actress playing her, she was in another show called Lucifer and I felt she did a lot better in that show than in this. The character felt very bland to me, there was nothing that really made me interested in her. And that final fight with Michonne was shite XD The dialogue mid-fight was so fucking cringe and Danai actually had me laughing when she said "Love doesn't die." not once but FUCKING TWICE 🤣 Danai is a brilliant actress but by Christ, not even the greatest actor in the world can make that sound good XD And I don't mind sometimes when you have to suspend your disbelief in movies and shows, fecking Home Alone is the definition of suspend your disbelief but Jesus Christ this show shouldn't be called 'The Ones Who Live' it should be called 'The Ones With Plot Armour'. The helicopter crashing into the building in episode 4 was the first one, then it was staying in a building that was about to collapse for a whole night, finding a fucking car full of cans of ethanol, Jadis not killing them in their sleep, and finally that fucking explosion. Jesus Christ... And that whole final fight was just meh, badly choreographed, shite dialogue and again how the fuck did they survive all that. A little rag over your nose and mouth ain't gonna stop fucking mustard gas, Rick!!! And after that little bit where Thorn gives them her mask and talks about Okafur being right all along, why the hell couldn't Rick or Michonne just finish her off so she wouldn't suffer? XD They clearly were cool with each other at that point, give her the mercy by shooting her in the head XD Bruh. And Rick survived another fucking explosion when all of the walkers were on top of him. And that dogshit ending XD I was delighted to actually see Rick and Michonne reuniting with their kids but it dragged on for way too long and the dialogue was Star Wars Prequels level and RJ's acting was still bad. I don't blame the kid playing him at all, I blame the fucking casting director in season 10 of the show. "Are you the brave man?" WTF 🤣🤣🤣 I love The Walking Dead and it's a fucking shame that I have to see incompetent people still running the fucking show and seeing them continue to ruin the characters and the world we loved for YEARS!!! Now I've watched the whole video I will say that not only did I find your review hilarious and your impressions 💯💯💯 But I agree with you almost completely. I have been saying that they could have made the episode even 10 minutes longer and had them return to the CR to tell them everything, even hand over evidence if they managed to grab any. They definitely did go back because they were dropped off in a helicopter with other helicopters following with supplies to air drop! Show something ffs.... I also agree the dialogue is weak too. Ricks proposal episode 5 🤮🤮🤮. Episodes 1 to 4 were so good and yet something happened in the last couple of episodes where everything said in important moments had to be a cluster fuck of laughable philosophical one liners that you'd expect to find in a high school drama piece 😂 Noone speaks like that...and you're ruining what could have been fan favourite memorable moments. Dude, me and my wife bussed out laughing at RJ's performance in that last scene. Only had a few lines and he couldn't even get through them and had the worst facial expressions. I could have overlooked the cheesy dialigue but his poor acting really took me out of the scene. People say "he's just a kid." And? We've seen talented child actors in the show, Chandler Riggs, the actresses of Lizzie and Mika, and Sam (Jessie's kid).
Never give him a break. He’s a kid who was chosen out of so many other far more talented kids. Who knows why? I still suspect it’s a private financiers kid or something.
I didnt not like the episode however... First what I liked is how this series made TWD universe feel so much bigger. This episode though shrunk it back down it felt like. Where do you go after the defeat of "the most powerful military on the planet". Could any human be a threat anymore. Obviously with how the comics ended but you know what I mean? Honestly I just thought the writing was weak what they could have done with that and then there's what they chose to do I understand it's a business first and foremost it needs to make money but when you cheat the audience to that degree that's my beef with the finale how they could have developed the generals Ark and how they could have possibly made a continuation and how they chose to disregard quite frankly basic writing the Watchtower surprise what is pretty lackluster and that's his kind as I can give it to you
They should have all been at Alexandria at the end panning away there not a field. The remaining actors slowly walking over as the camera panned back as Rick is hugging Michonne and the kids. The kids just ignored Rick and acted (use the term loosely) like they didn’t even see him until the time was right. Very unnatural scene. Ah hated the ending! Now to watch your video.

You know a good reunion? Rick reuniting with Lori/Carl and Shane in S1. Season 1! Not even the season finale of season 1! Now, THAT is a reunion! That made me tearjerk more than this pathetic, forced one. I mean we didn't know shit about Lori/Carl/Shane as characters, I'd argue even less so than Judith and RJ and that was an even better reunion.
