Guitar player absolutely nailed this performance. The arpeggios, slide, and playing in the perfect in-betweens at a sped up, commercial TV pace. Very nice. The whole band is killing it here. Love how the pace puts the lyrics at more of a spoken word delivery. Really great.
Michael Ward guitars are not replaceable , this guy may nailed it for you, but it doesn't sound like Michael, as well this drummer... real Wallflowers were the first line up...
I saw them on the OG tour for this album. One of the most professional sounding bands I've ever seen live. Tone for days and left enough room for all of instruments to have their highlight moments.
I remember hearing this song constantly on the radio back when I was fifteen or sixteen years old. I didn't realize it then but this kind of music was definitely 90s music, because you just don't hear music like this anymore. Sad but true in my opinion

I think what it was that the audience started it all off with that fast upbeat tempo with the clapping and the band went with it. Whether the band did it on purpose or not......
Incredible band: the music is so rockinly tight; it just expertly grabs you and throws you around joyously. The Dylan-does-Bruce vocals do the same thing. Okay okay, shoot me, but I'm younger than that now: that's what I feel and love about em. and y'know, probably everyone else is probably thinkin the same thing, but hey-so freakin what?? The vocals and the music right here are just great, period. In the moment. Now. Right when you're hearing em. Into their mystic.

Not nearly as good as Michael Ward, the player for the Wallflowers peak period. Jakob fired him for stealing his thunder. Fucking big ego on Dylan. Wallflowers now are basically him and anyone that can stand to play with him, he’s pushed everyone out because Jakob’s ego is so huge. Funny in that his dad will be remember forever but his son will be forgotten in 50 years.
