The War of the Currents 

The War of the Currents (or Battle of the Currents) was a dispute between Nikola #Tesla and Thomas #Edison that took place in the last two decades of the 19th century. The two became adversaries due to Edison's advertising campaign to use direct current to distribute electricity, as opposed to alternating current, advocated by Westinghouse and Nikola Tesla.
