The "war trophies" show was kinda overdue | Day 805 

One of my favorite "support Ukraine" tee shirts has a picture of a Ukrainian farmer driving his John Deere tractor, flying the Ukrainian flag, and pulling a Russian tank behind him. The shirt is from the first year of the war and Ukraine was harvesting captured or abandoned Russian tanks and fixing them and sending them into battle for Ukraine. The tee shirt makes people laugh and starts good conversations about why it is so important for the US to support Ukraine.

Why didnt they show all the stolen toilets and washing machines?

I saw an interesting video of the Russian exhibit of captured Western weapons. Apparently, they decided that a captured Leopard tank would look better with a bent barrel. They brought in a crane with a giant weight and tried to break the barrel. The weight was lowered on the barrel and the barrel began to point downward. Once it got to a sufficient angle the weight just slid off. Someone said that the Russians had considered also exhibiting captured Russian vehicle that had been used by the Ukrainians. However, the Russian MOD said that this was not possible as all such vehicles are executed for desertion.

Is it true the display of Western armour in Moscow backfired? The intention was to show off trophies of the war to prove how strong Russian armour is, but all it did was make Russians realise just how bad Russian armour is and how mych more advanced the wests equipment is. What they weren't told is that the equipment they were looking at is 30 to 40 years old and was given to Ukraine instead of being decomissioned and that was better than Russia's newest.

My husband works with a young Russian who shares memes of Putin on his horse that is like 4 x his size the guy said if he shares in Russia he would disappear. Everything he shares makes fun of Putin - I guess he hates the “big man” lol

What’s striking is the “NATO” vehicles good condition, with some light damage (bullet-holes, bent barrels) that looks like it was done in Moscow. Comparing it to the absolutely shattered Russian kit in Kyiv that you can tell was baked by high explosive its very striking. Also the helpful painting on of flags for the manufacture country to make the viewer wonder whose troops were operating the vehicle, in line with Russian internal propaganda of hiding the truth to justify anything. This Russian display was pretty poor and just demonstrates the hardiness of the NATO vehicles which treat the crew as the most vital part to protect.
