Frost DK is top DPS when you look on raiders lol I dont know where blizzard devs are taking their info from to nerf paladins and buff DKs lmfao why am I playing this game
Yeah its wierd but we also have to remember that ret has had a massive population since the rework in dragonflight (and still will) and i cant remember the last time dps dk was good
I ve always played dk dps because I love the class. But I always go back and forth between ret paladin and unholy. Sometimes frost dk. I just like the themes of these classes. But I am kinda surprised ret is getting nerfed
Great video! ive been trying to wrap my head around the changes we are getting and you answered them perfectly here. I really don't see a ~2% nerf being a big deal, and ill be happy if templar strikes is viable again. I missed having it as a holy power builder.
can you do a more detailed rotation and priority guide? A lot of what im seeing is just two sentences about builders and spenders not something that is going to help you master the class. love the content!
Yeah dungeon slice sims still the same with the old talents btw so its still worth keeping zealot's fervor and crusader strikies. Unfortunately with the haste nerfes there's a flat m+ dmg decrease. Mine has been around 300k 1.8m to 1.5m to be specific which is sad when frost dks got buffed.
How much tempo and crit do we have to have now? Mastery is clearly as much as u can get...would be nice to know, if there is a goal for tempo/crit to reach
I’m pretty sure they were also buffing judgement damage and reducing cooldown by 1 sec to counteract the alacrity loss for all paladins I saw it in the notes, I’m also pre sure they are buffing of dusk and dawn damage to holy spenders by an additional 10% to contract loss of seal of order as well
I really dont think we are getting nerfed too hard... we may actually be the same or better off for M+. Avenging wrath: might is being removed and the 20% crit is being baked base line for avenging wrath. Meaning if we go crusade we will have 20% crit + haste stacks. I think this will be huge for M+ AoE with the templar buffs. Might keep us stacking more haste rather than crit. Also, getting a node called Sacred strength giving us 2% damage on holy spenders might help us a bit.. more damage during execute and burst windows / AoE. I think if blizz moved sanctified wrath onto the base paladin tree and to replace seal of order we would be nice. Just losing that 10% cool down when blessing of dusk is up hurts a little. Im curious to see how the tree will look because alot of talents got moved around.
@Flameadodemoe It just doesn't make sense to give 20% crit into avenging wrath and removing might as an option for ret. Ret is forced into crusade with no other secondary option in order to get to crusading strikes, wake of ashes, etc. I would think ret gets the crit in someway since it will be baked into avenging wrath but.. I guess prot gets a buff and handicaps build diversity for ret? Idk
@@CreatorOfWrath It doesnt work like that m8,you will pick might or crusade in the Ret tree still,its just not in the paladin tree anymore.Sacred strenght is a node with Divine purpose meaning if it doesnt get buffed you aint using it
@joyo1994 damn I didn't see it was a choice node... that's rough. With the loss of haste, I would think divine purpose becomes a staple. I'm curious to see how the talents will be spread out. There isn't any videos or images of the new talent tree. >.
2-3% aoe nerf...but with the Hammer of Wrath dmg bonus talent we always pick then and tenplar strikes we should be SingleTarget buffed a few %...so its a fine shift
I went from 1.8 mil to 1.59 in my dungeon slice sim. That's way more than a 3% nerf. I know ret pally was strong and I was ok with a 3-6% nerf. But this is more like 15%..
The nerf is nothing really you can offset it later with more haste, but the healing/utility is pretty good.Also the 6% buff makes everything hit harder which is also good for pvp.The 6% will even be a buff overall with more haste later on.
yeah Ret being able to do millions of aoe every trashpack with barely any downtime is totally the same as frost dk who does no damage outside of hero talent cds
The nerf won't be noticeable but it's insane how other classes like FDK and even UHDK are doing insane damage in M+ right now and nothing is being done at all about it. Kind of hoping they also buff Herald a little because it would be nice to freely switch between Templar and Herald.
@@Alexandroiddit’s similar to the Fury warrior situation, did Fury Warrior need nerfs yes to some extent, but it just feels bad getting nerfed when there are specs clearly ahead of yours. So it’s not that a Ret nerf is unwarranted, but why is Blizz nerfing Ret while buffing the spec right above it, Frast DK.
@@TheFarGaurd they didn’t try to directly nerf ret or buff frost. They redesigned the entire paladin class tree, damage nodes included. Side effect of that was damage changed. Same story with frost. The deathbringer tree got redesigned. Just so happened to net in higher damage. Getting this much attention and improvement as in removing weak damage nodes in class tree that locked up all your points opens the door for better tuning in the spec tree. Ret players should be pleased, not bemoaning a 2% overall cut
It might be a thing since seal of the crusader did give it a very high advantage, also with templar strikes empyrean power has a 15% chance per target to proc instead of the 5% from crusading strikes
nah mate you overcoocked, you idea to counter haste nerf is to add new talent to press twice? crusading strike is perfect , lose some dmg to it but it still have it value witch is passive holy power regenration the dmg is minor
So if they nerf haste.. and with templar we want to get crit... isn't this fucking up templar big time? If we go mastery crit, we basically have what... 10% haste? Thats a little cringe
You probably still want around 13-14ish haste even with templar but nothing is set in stone well have to see how ret does tomorrow and also check if the sims are correct

okei nerf i tink its bs when you have dk arcane mages ect alot of classes do good. but the bigest problem its just one more bottom to press. reason play ret its to have less bottom to press still have so manny key bidings its not even fun
My issue with Ret and many others that don’t like the class. Not that we don’t like the fantasy we dislike how easy or lock their of to play it and do extremely well with it! We have people that can’t play other classes to save their life and all are rolling ret and will top charts with 3 buttons 😂 their isn’t even a skill managing anything holy power wise with Rey you never have any downtime 30s is the only dps CD which isn’t even a cd really. Who ever made ret such a no skill class must be their main.
@@keevo86 I run with rets that are terrible players and top the charts use zero utilities … both still parse in the 95-99 on raid bosses zero utilities use. PvP sure that’s a different story by far for any class. But in pve you can take the worst player and see them do excellent with a rest pally they play another class and can barely do 600k and they know their not that good of a player 😂 I hear it in discord from them all the time! Ret is a class made for bad players to do well
