10,000 Japanese kids (under 10 in Tokyo alone)...who are masters of their instruments! I see young rock stars with the moves & attitude? But I like them!
I'll always be amazed to see how Dani did the job of both Kirk and James while at the same time keeping an eye on her baby sis, like saying "I know you are tired, it's been a long night, but you can do this, Ale!". And Ale could, and they slayed "Atlas, Rise!" And that performance was one for the ages. These girls are so special in so many ways. You can't help but love them. ❤
This was a special request from the owner. It was his birthday and Metalica was one of his favorite bands. The sisters seem to make friends wherever they go. They now have a standing invitation to play the whiskey whenever they want. Notice the Keep Me Fed CD release party was there.
A two hour show? This is from 2018, they didn't have enough material to play 2 hours ( 2 less than 40 minute albums and an EP), and I seriously doubt they played all 32 songs and this one which was the only cover song!
This was the 22nd song of the night, and a special request by the club manager. They now have a lifetime open invitation to play the Whiskey A Go Go. They did their album release party for Keep Me Fed there.
@@nikkireviews here's a pretty good fan shot video of Automatic Sun from that show: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rbTVseSBwuQ.htmlsi=Q3ojWcs-ISDzdaEY
Their covers often seem to have challenging guitar performances that Dany always kills. If not for their amazing originals TW would be the best cover band ever!
This was my first time seeing The Warning. Metallica was my number 1 band for for over 30 years at this point, but I chose to fly 1800 miles to LA to see The Warning rather than driving 100 miles to Nashville to see Metallica. I made the right choice. This night was simply magical. The show was over, they played everything I expected them to play. I was walking away gobsmacked and they came out and kicked me in the face with this for good measure.
I absolutely love this cover. Three girls showing the boys how it’s done. I’d like a little better lighting on Pau, but otherwise it’s perfect. I think Ale was only 13 here and totally out of gas by the end, yet she finished it. Just amazing. When I first found The Warning a couple years ago I had to go find the original Metallica version because I wasn’t very familiar with Metallica’s releases from the last ten years. The story goes that they learned this in about 4 Days.
Wow, that's impressive! And yeah, I was surprised Pau did a lot of the vocals! I mean I know she does from time to time in the songs they have of their own but I just wasn't expecting it for this one.
Nikki, check out TW's sizzling cover of Mötley Crüe's Kickstart My Heart, only a heart-pounding 2:26 long! 2017 so 17, 15, and at 12-13 Ale is completely fierce on this one!
Ey Nikki.
This was around 6 years ago.Dany 18,Pau 16,Ale 13 .FunFact Ive been a Metallica fan for many years and thats how I found TheWarning from their Enter Sandman cover from 10 years ago and I love TW Atlas Rise cover more than Metallica's !!! TheWarning recently went back to the Whisky a Go Go had to be great being back at such an iconic venue. Ale has been known for years for loving snacks, thanks to a video where she said it years ago,and we in TWA say Ale needed some snacks to get through this show.🤣😂That was their surprise encore after playing a 2 hour 22 song set. Yes they have gone from a good band when they did this song,to an even more polished and tighter band as they credit David Bendeth with helping them do with the Error LP .They said it was like they learned to play all over again and more together as a band. And yes you were right I did like this one of course,🤣Cant go wrong with TheWarning and this is really like a classic for them already after all they have gone through to even get better especially the last 3 years of being on Tours!!
Fan of The Warning for about 3 years now. I was blown away when I first saw this video about a year ago- so amazing esp given their age at the time. Love TW and love your reactions so was awesome to see you react to this 🔥. Amazing guitar work by Dany just shredding 🤘⚡️
Thank you for watching! And yeah, I'm always blown away by how long they've been doing this, how young they were at the time..and how amazingly they do it!
I'm always impressed by these young ladies. They are definitely in my top five all time Bands/singers. Can't really compare this to the original because Metallica is not one of my favs and I only know a few songs well. Sounds Great to me though. They Rock.
Ambitious choice , actually did really good with one guitar. This just shows you they were really digging this album at the time. No other reason you choose this song except to have fun.
*Atlas Rise* DPA/TW played this cover of *Atlas Rise* at the Whisky A GoGo's 55th anniversary, 24 Jan 2019... it was the last song of a 2 hour gig with 22 songs played... the manager of the Whisky is a huge Metallica fan and the girls decided to do this cover for them... they originally played it in The Warning Cave (video available) several years before... they played it at this show with a few days practice and completely knocked it out of the stadium! you can tell Ale is worn slap out but powers through to the end... i can't say that i blame her... AFAIK, this is the longest song, cover or original, they have played... this is the last time they have played a cover in a public show... we don't know what the future holds, though 😜 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
@@tay13666 IIRC, yeah... pretty much... when they first learned it, they recorded it in the cave... they had been working on a project which got shelved... the next (and last) time they played it was at the Whisky several years later...
This is from January 2019, their first time playing the Whisky-a-Gogo. The bar had to be closed because of the band's age, but the owner of the club was a fan of The Warning. He was also a big Metallica fan, and they did this song as a thankyou for him hosting them.
Glad you decided to cover this, Nikki! An amazing adrenalin rush of a Metallic cover by a band of three teenage girls? Drummer better than Lars and singing, too? Dany filling the role of two guitarists while smacking us between the eyes with her gritty lead vocals? 14-year-old Ale killing it on the bass on their 22nd song of the night, probably two hours past her usual bedtime? Yep, this one's on my playlist to stay!
I joined TWA in December 2019. I have seen them 13 times in 8 states the past two years. I have 2 US shows, 1 Canadian shoe and 2 shows in Mexico upcoming. Saw Metallica live 4 times back when they were putting out their best music. (Pre 1991)
I’ve been a fan of Metallica for years and of The Warning ever since 2013/4; this is my goto performance if anyone says Dany can’t shred - go figure 😂 13, 16 & 18 young girls make Atlas rise seem an easy song, even with one player less 🤯, there’s somewhere a comparison between this and Metallica’s version and the person who posted it remarked that essentially they had got all of the important parts covered and they absolutely nailed it! If I can find the link I shall send it to you on Instagram.
Yes I am a Metallica fan. I wasn't much of a fan of their music after the Black album (which was great), but when I heard that they were trying to recreate their original style for the Hardwired album, I was intrigued. I liked that album a lot and some of the songs I loved, including Atlas Rise. I Discovered The Warning just over 2 years ago and yes, to see them do this cover, especially at the ages the were here, 19, 17 & 15 this is quite impressive. And yes going down their rabbit hole, you can see how much more skilled they have become and the growth of Dany's voice. She has turned out to be one of the best all-time rock women singers of all time. So much more to come in their future!
I haven't even watched your vid yet, but I have seen this vid of Atlas Rise several times and it kicks ass. I will be watching your personal reaction closely. They played this on Sep. 15 2019
As far as this cover compared to the original this from The Warning Russia channel answers that pretty well. Metallica & The Warning. Atlas Rise. I would give a link but I have noticed those comments disappear more than they used to.
Lol yes . If you decide to cover Atlas Rise . Your commited to it . . . 😂. . . Just keeps going 👍 Take care till next time . Bye from New Zealand 💐👋🇳🇿🍷twa
MY friend: DarWin and The Warning... 2 of the Best Bands in the World!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like Metallica more in the beginning, I didn't know this song, I only heard it with them, I wanted to see them playing Fade to Black. The best album by The Warning in my opinion: ERROR
Hardwired... is a pretty good album, it has some good songs, like Halo On Fire, Moth Into Flame, Spit Out the Bone, ManUNkind, and of course, Atlas, Rise! And DPA killed it, as they always do. Would be cool to hear them do a song or two off of Load and Reload, two albums I actually like quite a lot. Am I the only one who would love to see an album with rerecorded versions of all of their old covers, including the original Enter Sandman, and a full length version of Kickstart My Heart? To see what they would sound like now, with a lot more experience under their belts. That will probably never happen though, I'm pretty sure they are done with covers, as they are busy touring, and writing original music nowadays. Their "cover band" days are behind them, I guess. But I can hope, can't I?
I feel this song is underated by Metallica , I was a fan of it before the warning covered it and I am a fan of the warnings version . Been a Metallica fan since 90s and a warning fan for 3 years now
I didn’t know this song until I heard the cover from The Warning. They absolutely slayed this that I immediately searched Metallica’s live version. While I liked Metallica’s version, I still prefer to listen to The Warning’s version 🤘❤️⚠️
I prefer The Warning's version of Atlas Rise. I forgot what the song was when I heard this version. I honestly only ever listened to Metallica's Hardwired album once. Poor Ale going to pass out. My top three bands: 1. Metallica 2. The Warning 3. Testament
Hi Nikk, I am a Metallica fan too. Why dont you try this trio band: VoB -- Enter sandman Live at Transmusicales de Rennes in France (Europe Tour 2021).
The tempo is frantic and 3 female teens fuck that's nuts with only 1 guitar and not sound hollow. Metallica sound is held by the bass from cliff to now so Ale is a rock star.
@@markdicesare7936 while true, I feel even now she would be hard pressed to play the grand majority of James’ riffs. I’m not expecting her to, or putting her down for it. They are two different genres of music. Just like I’m not expecting Pau to do blast beats for an entire song. But in the comparison you’ve drawn, that is the only immediate thing that isn’t on par or above Metallica.
Hmm, well to discuss some of your questions at the end, yes, they have 'gotten better' but I think it's easy to mix-up better production with better skill. This song is far more technical from an organizational perspective (remembering what riff goes where) than any of their own music, especially the most recent album. I don't really know how to say it but I think this demonstration shows a band of incredibly skilled rock musicians just laying down a solid bar show of a cover. While they continue to improve you don't get this kind of demonstration in other venues and so we're comparing apples and oranges a bit if you want to say how much 'better' they are now. I mean, I get it in terms of how it sounds to the ear. In a way I think this is what people like about the new album the most, the quality of the production and 'listenability' of the tracks. For me it isn't 1/2 as good as Queen of the Murder Scene as an actual album even though in almost every particular you could say "Well they're better at this, and at that", etc.. But .... well I'll just leave it there.
I understand what you mean! I suppose it goes to show that they've gotten better over time, but you're right - the production and quality is a big factor in what hooks people in. But I feel like the live performances are what makes people stay and shows their true talent more. Queen of the Murder Scene was an awesome album and the live performances impressed me then too.
I like KMF but I rank it as their 3rd best album to date. Error and Queen are the top two. KMF just narrowly tops 21st Error shows how great they can be as a polished experienced band. QTMS highlights the more raw and hungry version. Both are really creative with their arrangements and lyrics. Both hit hard and have great energy.
Probably one of my least favorite Metallica songs. I was not a big fan of this whole album. I have seen this several times now and I have read all the stuff about it being at the end of the show and a request and even at that age these girls were rocking hard.
@uoldboat Well that depends on how you look at it. Error album is excellent every song. Keep me Fed was written with very little time in-between tours 1-2 Days to write 1-2 Days to record. And different Drop Tunings (Drop D-C & A) all over this album and Dany plays a Baritone on a some songs. New skill learning. Keep me Fed is an excellent Album! Especially the circumstances. So let's give them a little more credit... 🎉🎉 The Warning 🔥🔥🔥
