I love how ale sings the highest part in the three part harmony briefly and then sings The solo lead line an octave below Dany did it… such clever arranging
The clips I seen from this show make Dany kind of appear to not have one of her best days. I don't see her usual playful face and big smiles, inviting the crowd to have an party with her.
I think I remember them saying since they tour a lot, the only free time they have to rehearse new songs is in soundcheck but they definitely will probably play them live soon I think ⚡️ someone please correct me if I’m wrong
Most people would get disappointed if an band only played songs from the newest album and not any of the earlier hits and fan favorites. Even more at an festival were only an minority in the crowd will be dedicated fans.
I like Choke but it should be dropped from the set list if they're trying to promote the new album. This and Z. They've run their course. Disciple is still worth keeping. I wonder if they need to practice the new songs more. Which would be a little disappointing because I'm sure people want to hear the new stuff.
It depends on the back catalogue. Most people just want to hear an band play the big "hits". Songs that might be old, but are crowd favorites. Choke are TWs biggest hit to date, most played song both on YT and Spotify. So it's nearly an must at an festival were far from all in the crowd will be dedicated fans.
Plus, some people in Europe has been waiting the band for a while when they had Error on promotion, so, these people know the band mostly for Error and prior albums than the new one. So, a mix of the new material and prior one sounds a well balanced presentation on these lands.
@westmus that's usually true but not when you have a new album to promote. I'm sure they'll get to them but I figured they were good to start playing them.
