The wall where the camera is mounted has a full size mirror so they can watch themselves and also work on stage presence. She might just be looking at that. Not sure. Someone else in TWA might know.

I remember when I first saw this. Before this, I had only seen a 10-year-old Pau doing crazy crossovers on her drums so I mostly came to see her drum some more. This video was two weeks old at the time and I didn't really think that Pau was so great but was impressed by the little bassist who looked as if this was nothing while her older sister sitting next to her at times sounded as if she was torturing a cat. Little did I know back then that they would all blow me away one year later with their Enter Sandman cover. 😆

This is super early in the girls' playing days, they look so very young! I love seeing how into it that Ale is - and can't believe she can play that bass line so early on! I think she had only been playing the bass for a months at this point.

As others said that wall is a mirror so either Pau is checking out how badass she is on the drums or more likely, knowing Pau, she’s probably composing the string arrangement for ‘Escape the Mind’ 😂

That bass line is fantastic. At age 8, Ale has only been playing bass about a year, and they have only been playing together for about the same amount of time.

2nd video ever of the 3 (the 1st one is the cover of kiss in their school. technically they re not the warning yet) Ale played bass for less than a year and it's a 3/4 scale' bass

When Rick (Lava) said Ale' was "probably the most animated" he was spot on. Watching her in this video... while she is sitting she is moving but... look at her mouth and watch her catch the flow of the song and her own effort, it's like reading an unfolding of the rhythm. Pau may be watching her sisters moves in the mirror or just doing what she still does today and looking beyond her kit and picking up on whatever is there and, then again, because she isn't wearing her glasses, maybe she is just looking around. You can tell old TW stuff not only by their physical size but if you see a Yamaha drum kit. Pau always knows where the camera is. They have gotten great use out of those area rugs. They are there in their earliest videos and I think they’re still there to this day. Kinda weird not seeing Orange amp stacks behind them.

There is a video on youtube from instagram when Ale was about 15. A fan asked her to play hysteria. She did it from memory and it's awesome. It's my 2 minutes of zen. Worth a look.

hi. It's always great to see the beginnings. For those who do not have seen many videos of them in the cave, on the side where the camera is, they have the entire wall covered by a mirror. so Pau is probably looking at herself or Dany, or Ale. More than anything, they can see if they are in the correct posture. It is very good when it comes to rehearsing the power to see yourself and how your posture is, to be able to correct it.

I think this is something their parents were teaching them early on, but at some point they forgot. When you have a bass player who keeps nearly perfect time, follow them. When they worked with David Bendeth he made them relearn this. Pau even said she had to watch Ale and her hands to get proper timing. It's why James Hetfield was the timing for Metallica. Not Lars. He was just rhythm guitar, but he had perfect timing.

Ale probably didn't have the phones on for the timing.. Pau and Dany say she's there metronome and, if the click track fails, they look to her for the rhythm. Also, some people might think that Ale plays simple bass lines.. but, as she's demonstrated at this young age, she can cope perfectly well with complex stuff. What she does, always, is play EFFECTIVE bass.

i couldn't tell but it is possible that Dany and Pau might have had in-ears and Ale's hadn't been fitted... i'm not sure when they did start using in-ears, though, so this is an eWAG... like others, i suspect Pau is looking at herself in the full wall mirror behind the camera... also, to the left of the scene there are two windows (mirrored?) into the recording/sound equipment section of this home studio they call "The Warning Cave" (aka "The Cave")... this is also very early along because Dany's Orange Amp isn't in the back right corner, yet... Ale's Ampeg(?) is not in the back left... they do have the rugs down, though... looks like only one room mic on a tall stand behind Dany... TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA

Don't know if they even had in-ears back then. Might have just been for hearing protection. Some people prefer the ear-muffs over ear-plugs.

Ale, is the most naturally talented of the sisters because when she first got her base, age 6 or 7 she learned to play it in one month. This information was in one or two of the interviews they’ve done

There father posted a comment on the video stating the girls were also working on 4 other songs; Back in Black and We’re Not Gonna Take It were videotaped a few months later and Sweet Child of Mine was performed live a couple months later. There is no video of them playing Another One Bites the Dust.

The bass is too big for her hands, so she can't hit every note perfect. It's just crazy that she is playing this, bc it's a lot of notes all over the neck. Not simple and rather strenuous.
