"When I'm Alone" fue escrita por Daniela en el último momento como una tarea mientras estudiaba en "Berklee College of Music en Boston". En su clase se le asignó la tarea de escribir una canción y esto es lo que se le ocurrió mientras lidiaba con su propia depresión y sentimientos de nostalgia.
