Younger generation had no idea what this guy meant to those who grew up in the late 70's to early 80's. HIghest paid during his peak, his every concert is sold out. He is also the only one who sings live on TV guestings when lip sync is more prevalent and acceptable during the time. The guy had no competition. No one came close. RIP Rico "Baby". I don't think so, i know and am sure 100 percent of filipinos of his same age and younger generations recognize him as the Philippines total entertainer. His voice is distinctive, and the only one Rico J. Love this guy up to this time.

He was the first OPM singer that i heard sung a Taglish song and blended it perfectly and all his songs specially the lyrics are very meaningful and touching cos we all experienced it in our real life's that's how good this man was
