Even with a great reaction speed is good enough , like that's all he needs is to be fast enough to use his counters. And maybe even tougher so he can survive during his analysis.
if he didn't have a debuff he probably wouldn't have a wrench thrown into his mind so early on that would cause him to have such an overwhelming set of will and determination for power. And would just go on to be a normal guy lol
Kanedas spiderweb and use of baiting to his advantage is actually something that happens a lot in real fights that isn't often talked about from conditioning the opponent to expecting a certain reaction to leaving an opening to make them throw a specific move its also something you see a lot in fighting games since their they can only pick from so many moves anyway often leading to hard 'reads' in games like smash. it cool to see the information side of fighting be shown at the forefront of a character
The trope I would give Kaneda in terms of his appearance is what I would call "Fox Mask". A character that maybe who they are on the outside, but hides something greater within them that could cause a turning point and make them a true threat. Someone like Gin Ichimaru from Bleach was the first character that came into mind when thinking about this.
Kaneda is the first hint this show gives you to know that "Being Stronger doesn't mean having victory assured". Raian and Kanoh learn that the Hard Way.
I honestly have a firm belief that if Kaneda had a mid-level fighter’s conditioning (and I don’t mean mid as in bad like most do, I mean mid as the actual in-between of the best and the worst of fighters) he’d be an absolute top threat that not can only hang with the best with some bit of strength and durability but also be smarter and more tactical than almost all of em. But alas, that would take away a lot of what makes Kaneda “Kaneda.” And honestly, even where he’s standing now he’s persevering real good and really is one of the best underdogs.
Said this on the hatsumi vid but I'll repeat it here. The fight those two was a fight that only those two could have. A perfect match up to highlight Kaneda's strengths without making his opponent look stupid.
Kaneda, my goat... He's my favorite kind of fighter in both fiction and real life, those who overcome a lack of talent with hard work, dedication, and skill.
I would say more that Kaneda's eyes are more comparable to Ichimaru Gin from Bleach, since they tend to make similar expressions when they open their eyes.
@@drachenschanze1 removal was a genetic ability if i remember, they specifically bred to be able to remove their mental block for a short period of time
@@wr5488 isn't removal removing your mental block that krępa you from using all of your strength? I mean yeah it would fuck him up but not that much that simply activating it would make him a foutain because activating it just removes that mental block
@@ziompn9647 Yeah but other fighters who were not from the kure family learned removal such as they guy kanoh fought in purgatory and the one guy waka fought there too, they both died tho lol
Wakatsuki Takeshi is next. One thing we have to remember that Takeshi doesn’t grow up like normal people, he was born at least 4 times heavier than normal newborn, the guy broke off a lot of custom made titanium controller as a 10 years old kid. Let me repeat, TITANIUM custom made controller, if he plays a video game like Xbox and PlayStation, he will need something sturdier than plastic, maybe adamantium shell controller at the very least. The scene where Takeshi punches Furumi with full strength is to teach Waka how to control his strength. It ends well as Waka learned how to control his strength but at the cost of full body cast for Furumi (his healthcare is all paid by his company)
while Kaneda still has petty insane stats in-universe since can still take hits from other fighters and not explode he's still very insprational. as i and many have said before if he had even a mid tiers body he would likely be a top 10 fighter, just given how skilled he is
My second favorite character. As someone born 3 months early (I've actually died 3 times for over 3 minutes in total due to my lungs,) Kaneda is doing what I wish I could have.
The only thing i dislike about Kaneda is how easily he tood down Ryu Though, to be fair, throughout the whole Ashura and Omega, Ryu is shown to be really weak, despite him being considered one of the top Kengan fighters
I felt like it was a huge waste for Kaneda to bond with the other 3 stooges instead of Julius. While Julius does despise weak people that rely techniques, I think he'd empathize with Kaneda because he's a weak man trying to be strong, and Julius himself became powerful through the use of steroids and chemicals rather than just training. He could EASILY help undo some of the debuffs Kaneda was born with given how much he knows about medicine and human anatomy.
I don't hate him or anything but the only thing stupid about him is the fact that he just not only lets someone hit him but all he does is block so he can read his opponents. Here's another option while trying to read your opponents' attacks and predicting them dumb@$$... Dodge. I am referring to Kaneda since his tactic won't work against someone like Lihito or Kuroki due to their cutting edge fingers and also a gun.
The only problem I have with Kaneda is that for someone whose have already all the disadvantage in the world he adds himself another by specializing on one martial art even if it's disadvantageous, something other characters get criticized by the story. Like I think the idea is that since he is that weak he uses kujin because his healthy and strong opponents might as well be armed and armored as showed with Sen then he should have picked aikido instead of a martial art that assumes you're armed and armored too. If it was shown he had something to follow up his counter attacks it would feel like he is actually serious and thought about it but as now it feels like Kaneda is written like he doesn't want to win he just want to show off his smart At the same time it's way more special to have him do kujin then aikido and it's fun that things like pre-initiative or that we see guys like Kuroki do was first done by Kaneda, both the weakest and the strongest fighter are thinking alike
I remember seeing somewhere that someone described Kaneda like "Having the spirit of a lion trapped inside a mouse's body" and I think that perfectly describes him. Compared to the other fighters he's so frail, and he as to tank hits from whoever he's fighting before he can read/predict their moves, and honestly? That makes him so much more endearing.
Hes the weakest cause his foresight/pre initiative is too broken to use in the story if u watch his fight with gaolong he read up to 15 moves and the row and aimed to end the fight in 1 perfect blow
Well if your eyes are permanently closed but you havent lost your vision, you might end up getinng the shit beaten out of you :D His other senses aren't evolved like that african mercenary dude who was blind first, then the opponent took his ears as well. And he is still able to track where his opponent is. This man can process information way faster than we do, and knows what type of ataack comes next, but yall have seen how fast someone like Raian or ohma throws punches in a row. You cant dodge all of it even if you know its coming. This man wouldnt have even strength to endure multiple hits from the elite fighters of kengan no matter if he block or not. He cant withstand all of them punchec thrown by those fighters.
