I’ve been using the WeatherFlow weather meter for almost 6 years. It helps me measure wind speed and direction to calculate accurate wind holds and density altitude to calculate elevation adjustments.
Pairing easily via Bluetooth to my phone’s GeoBallistics ballistic calculator app the WeatherFlow meter is a budget friendly alternative to more expensive units from Kestral and others.

I just got one of these about a month ago. Use it to link up with Strelok. Still learning wind calls.. I got a wind flag to go with mine so I can have it set up by my bino and Rangfinder

I’m thinking to do the same. At the moment it sits in a sleeve in my Coletac Playbook, which I attach to my tripod so it’s handy with my stage notes. How do you keep it out of direct sunlight with the wind flag?

@@damingrail3655 With mine I can see higher than actual recorded temperature when in direct sunlight. I always keep it in the shade when taking DA readings, however, I’ll only check DA a few times during the match and wind constantly so I’m definitely going to be looking in to a vane for it.

Page 20 of the AB manual shows the WeatherFlow meter is compatible. However, the manual was written in 2018 so may be out of date and I don’t have the AB app to be able to check this for you myself. appliedballisticsllc.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/ABMobileUserGuide.pdf
