Always found it so unfair that she didn’t become MASSIVE after her amazing performance as Blair on Gossip Girl, like she literally CARRIED the show on her back and then her career seemed to taper off after it ended. Fingers crossed this helps her get back on top

The ways Leighton Meester and Blake Lively’s careers developed post GG provide such an interesting look into how family background and privilege impact the opportunities you have and your abilities to “play the game” to advance. Blake comes from a Hollywood family, made A list friends and married RR as he was on his way up. Leighton grew up in an abuse family environment and was dealing with a lot of legal issue related to her family. To my knowledge, she didn’t try to befriend/date celebrities “more famous” than her to advance her professional or social standing. Both people seem genuinely hard working. This isn’t a critique of Blake either because there’s nothing wrong with using the opportunities you have to your advantage. I’m happy to see Leighton in more projects and hope she continues to find success in her own way!

True but Keanu reeves didn't have it easy neither did the actor who played iron man but Leighton is doing well she doesn't have to be ultra famous she just wants a more settled lifestyle do her movies and keep going she probably wants a more private life fame isn't everything Leighton is recognizable as an actress that's all that matters.

Blake is honestly such a bad actress. She just became a fashionista and the wife of RR, the couple is pushed by Jimmy Fallon and the other media outlets hyping their "iconic" marriage although neither of them is outstanding at anything. Leighton carried GG and her character is iconic.

The “no make up” look Leighton has in this film (which I’m sure is in fact very effectively done make up) works really well against the backdrop of glitz and glamour. Certainly looks worth wasting a weekend on!

Happy to see this! Will continue waiting for the day Leighton is cast in an amazing series worthy of her talent. Hands down the best actor on GG. She made a very sympathetic, fan favourite character out of a character that wouldn’t have been otherwise. I use to be a massive GG fan and Leighton stan and although I haven’t kept up with her the past few years, I will always be a fan and have a soft spot for her because I know from having followed her so closely for many years that she is a very genuine, sweet person (fun fact: she’s also besties with Claire from Lizzie McGuire and Aly & AJ 🤪). She’d be so good in a FNL type show. Just raw, emotional acting. ❤️

I'm 26 and I haven't aged since I was 15. No skincare, I just don't age. Many people call me lucky and are envious but I just find it incredibly disturbing haha like, do I actually have an un-diagnosed condition? At what point do I start to age again? I'm always cautious of men dating me because I'm paranoid they're secret pedophiles and are only with me because I look like a teenager. I've often searched for a skin cream that can START ageing but no such thing exists for ones like us. I'm often told it's because I live in England and I hardly ever go out in the sun or get tanned so that contributes but come on, 11 whole years? Some people just have the gene I guess.

This movie was AMAZING! I'm so impressed by Leighton's performance! Twists and turns all the way through the movie, it was amazing! Only thing I wish is that they had Zain meet Beth at the park indicating he met her like he said so the movie ended with him comforting her while her baby was in her arms. Other than that it was perfect!

I live in Split, and there is a lot of organized crime (drug dealers , dept collectors with interest) and rich people who laundry money but Split is generally safe city in terms of it's rare to get raped or killed in the middle of night if u are going alone, or Croatia in general.

I thought it’s a really good movie. Was engaged from start to finish and very well acted by the lead actress and the whole cast indeed. At least it feels like a probably made movie with actual effort and pride put in to give viewers a treat, and not some crappy movie made for the sake of being just another boring/generic Netflix movie. A solid 7.5 for me, definitely worth watching.

I don't get the negative reviews! It was a really good thriller. The plot twist was great, the pace was fine. Loved Leighton Meester as she delivered stellar performance like she always does! Also it gives you a peek into Croatia's scenic views and vistas!
