Thanks for this - your thoughts and play help in determining reasons for bidding and playing each hand beyond what I can tell from checking out other players.

Was also one of the ones that followed the same auction for board 2. That is just a clear GIB failure, I couldn't believe it.

A direct bid of 2NT would be. But, notice they passed originally (after the 2D bid) and then balanced. This is. NOT lebensohl. They "told" us it was 8 - 9 and invitational but .... they lied 😞
