MK will go down just like EFF because they are made up of haters with big chips on their shoulders. People of this country want to move on, not live with hatred for others. They should take a leaf out of GM demeanour. He is a happy, smiling chappy showing that actual work is what is important to our people, he unites instead of dividing our people. Doesn’t walk around with an angry face under a red or green beret. His happy, smiling, laughing countenance is infectious. Everyone loves the man because he is action man, not angry man.

Both together are I see you into exact numbers so I'll even round them up. EFF 10% MK 15% ! That is 25%. Then ... 16 million people voted. The voting population is ~ 42 million. The 58% turnout was only registered voters. The turnout was 15 million / 42 million = 38%. Therefore the winner was the NO VOTE = 62% (100-38). Second place ANC 40%. If one took the entire population of South African adults. EFF+MK = 25% * 0.38 = 9.5% for both parties. 1/10 people on the streets support either EFF or MK...... Simple. When you talk about land and economic reforms in South Africa they call you a hater and backward but refuse to recognize the systemic injustices and inequalities created apartheid still persistent today. There are huge hectares of land being barricaded with fences idling around which black people need rebuild themselves and stay independent. We don't need work in the factories and white companies for us to survive and eat. Any person who turn a blind eye on inequalities approve of black suffering

dude - you forgetting that nearly 2/3rds of this country couldn't give a stuff about any of this on the ground. 16 million voted out of a voting population of 43 million. 58% turnout was only registered voters. The REAL turnout was 38%. 62% of adult South Africa never voted!!!!!! On the ground - the biggest winner in these elections was the "no vote" with almost 2/3rds majority!!! (66% no vote 62%) That's the reality on the ground that most people are actually sick of these politicians - the whole lot white black coloured. This is the statistic which is showing the REAL thoughts on the ground. Numbers don't lie. Those people who never voted - if they were so passionate about these parties like EFF or MK or even ANC - they would have voted but never did. They clearly hate them all for not doing what they meant to - stop playing these games and deliver for the people! Lower the crime, lower the unemployment, lower the poverty, increase the quality of life, increase jobs. This is what South Africans want in reality. Such bias Mike. This is tantamount to an anti MK rhetoric. Honesty is important if you're trying to set yourself up in this space. MK did have a written manifesto, it didn't have a constitution. Whenever you're setting a new entity whether business or organization, the first thing is to distinguish yourself from the rest, to justify your needness in the space. Zuma did that, by rejecting the norm, choosing path different or reverse from how things are uniformly dine across all the existing political parties, and that clearly wins him great favor,.look at the results. Give credit where it's due. The man has been honest and open about why he has chosen not having elective conferences yet. Perhaps you and I may just have to align on our view of celebrities in this context. Mine refers to all those from an entertainment or popular other than politics. Like Ringo, Fana, etc. I can't say I have seen such characters yet coerced to the higher ranks of the MK. Also, when I said honest, I meant in the context of him transparently being upfront about his stance on the elective conference. He's not ambushed anyone by saying one thing and doing another. If this is not a problem with the members of MK, why would this be a problem to anyone else who does not form part of their constituency? With respect, I feel like democrats in general need to tone down on their sense of entitlement that anything that doesn't look like democracy has to be demonized. Democracy is but another option. Section 4i of the MK's constitution makes commitment to the principle of knowlegeability and meritocracy as one of its virtues in the selection or appointment of officials and her representatives. This is unlike the infamous ANC's Cadre deployment, which has bred patronage at the expense of everybody else.

If they choose to not have elective conferences, it is up to party members to be happy with this decision or not; but it then becomes the job of people like to me to point this out to the wider world so that everybody understands what they are voting for. As somebody who analyses politics, I have to comment on what happens in all major parties because it has a bearing on what happens to SA. take the issue of party funding, it is important to know who is funding MK, EFF and others. Parties like the ANC, DA, Rise etc, have disclosed who is funding them. If this makes voters uncomfortable they may choose not to vote for them and that is fair enough. If MK has made it clear that they want to be meritocratic, an ideal that is laudable; why are they ambivalent towards those new members who may not be ethical?

People’s channels on RU-vid are there for different reasons and objectives. Perhaps Mike has certain views and biases, like we all do, but he doesn’t want to dilute them or water them down, and he doesn’t have to. They did. The EFF got 9%. ANC 40%. In December the EFF were polling between 12 - 15% just before MK formed. MK got 14%. The other 11% was the ANC and a little bit of IFP. That puts the ANC at where they were polling in December - scraping 50%. This was the SRF poll which got all these parties bang on target for the elections within their margin of error (+- 2%). ANC, DA, EFF, MK. This is how the 3% came about.........

Sorry dude, but you’re incorrect. EFF is absolutely a dictatorship. When a leader says to his deputies “don’t you dare challenge me,” that’s quintessential dictatorship. Don’t fool yourself by thinking because there was an “election” for Julius as leader that it wasn’t a forgone conclusion that he would be leader because he wouldn’t allow anyone else to run or it was decided beforehand that he’d be voted as leader. The MK is absolutely an anti constitutional party. They said so in the lead up to the election. You can try and put as many bows on a turd and convince people it’s something else, but it’s still a turd.

It's a numbers game. Whites prefer to have far less children, so they can give them far more. Black people are the vas, vast, vast majority because they reproduce far, far, far more. Do not be too quick to write the obituary of the EFF just yet. Let's see what happens in their election conference in December first. Their open border policy is simply not landing with South Africans and they need to be honest about it. If they rectify that, they may have a chance of influencing politics in this country.
I am not writing any party's obituary. People leaving a party is never a good look. It hasn't been a good thing for the DA and I doubt if it will be for the EFF.

I just think their December conference will go a long way in determining the very survival of the EFF as a potential political force in South African politics.
