Anna! As a curly hair person my top air drying tip to prevent frizz is to NOT TOUCH IT while it's drying. The more you touch it the more it agitates the hair against itself and creates frizz. Also using a tiny bit of curl gel or mousse with a bit of hold on top of your air dry creme will help with frizz. I think the biggest thing is to treat your hair like it's wavy/has curl rather than straight, which sounds obvious but makes a big difference.
Yes we really wanted to do the same but have had to cut them down a bit because of the price! The kitchen place are doing a full 3D render so we can get an idea of what it will look like in there and then we can decide if it's worth the plunge. Cabinets to the ceiling would be the dream though!
@@TheAnnaEdit 3D rendering is great nowadays! However, and indeed, if one can splurge on cabinets to the ceiling, one should definitely consider doing so, because it would be a pity i.e., putting a number of glass doors to bring in natural light, and then have strange shadows and darkness cast where there is empty space between the top of the cabinets and the ceiling. I know this may sound extreme but not doing so, ended up being a huge regret and pet peeve of mine so, I thought I'd share! I'm sure though, that whatever you end up going with, will definitely suit your house's and family's needs best! Can't wait to see it!
I agree! We also did cabinets to the ceiling and not only is it visually so nice, but that extra high storage is SO useful for things we only pull out once or twice a year
Idk if it's your style, but I think wearing the Ganni dress open (like a long kimono jacket) over the tank top jeans combo you had on would look really nice! Also I think your hair air dried looks really beautiful (it looks more voluminous and textured).
Can I recommend a "Sheila's maid" clothes air dryer. It's in our 1930s house and it's been so invaluable with air drying (read no tumbledryer!) my family's clothes. Especially with two children and potty training doubling my washing! It means no clothes-horse air dryer taking up valuable floor real estate as it hangs from the ceiling. I've converted all my friends that have renovated their homes. Tumble dryers are also bad for clothing longevity, not to mention electricity and being a fire hazzard. Win, win, win!
Kitchen plans look amazing!! If it's not too late I would suggest considering having leg room under both sides of the island. You may want the option of sitting more people / moving seats around in the future!
Girl get yourself a camping stove mini kitchen set up upstairs when that kitchen kicks off. You’ll be grateful to have the set up! Also dust will get everywhere, if you can get your clothes in storage bags to protect them. Lovely design! The windows are going to be amazing. Curious, what was the face oil at the end?
I have a 17m old. I have hair similar to yours. I wash 1-2x per week and air dry 90% of the way then just do a blast with the hairdryer to finish it off. That seems to sort out any frizz and weird ends situation for me. Also means it’s much quicker as I can reduce the drying time from 15mins to about 3.
Hey Anna 🤗 love the look of your renovation plans ☺️ I must admit I’m loving your longer hair - it really reminds me of when I first started watching you years and years and years 😝 ago 🙈 xx
If you find your hair is frizzy when you air dry it, a hair cream like JVN will definitely help but so will not touching your hair with your hands while it’s drying! It’s tough to not touch it but it helps SO much! ❤
bumble and bumble also makes a fab air dry cream that I live by called Don't Blow It, if you run out of the jvn before it restocks, definitely worth a try!!
Lady! My air drying advice as a wavy girl with a lottttt of hair as well: Air dry it in sections. Clip up your hair leaving out maybe the bottom third, let it dry, drop down some more, etc. with all of your hair laying on top of itself, it takes an eternity
If you are going to try air-drying and maybe getting some waves out, I would definitely recommend "plopping" for a bit in a cotton t-shirt :) it helps having the wet hair out of your face whilst getting ready and removes the really soggy feeling 😊
I have extremely curly hair, I always let it air dry, never blow dry which also means it’s in very healthy condition as a plus, but I just put a bit of argan oil in it and then leave it and do not touch it lol
Anna, I have been absolutely loving the vlogs! It is so wonderful to see you inspired and getting back into the groove 😍 super random, which period app do you use?!
Budget depending on this one! The builder is hopefully going to add the all the pipe work for it, so we can always add it at a later date easily once we've saved up again! But it will definitely happen at some point! x
I couldn’t get the DE dbronzi drops to work for me. They made my face look dirty/muddy? I tried different applications (fingers, brush, sponge), using just in bronzer areas, and also adding to sunscreen or moisturizer. I’m your skin tone.
Anna, would you mind linking or just replying with the names of the secondhand baby clothes websites please ❤ … and you’re so right, shopping for baby boys wardrobe is so fun and I love that they grow out of everything so what a shame, I have to buy him more outfits! 😂💙 xx keep being cool, love ya! xx
I read Carrie Soto is Back and I enjoyed it more than Malibu Rising. May I suggest The Rose Code by Kate Quinn. It was the first book I read this year and I’ve read several other of hers since.
Loewe bags...so gorgeous but the price is just out of my category. Do you have any recommendations for a more affordable black all rounder. I mean even €300 is for me probably the most I would pay for a bag :)
Letting my hair air dry sometimes gives me a headache and irritates my scalp as well. I usually blow dry my roots and let the lengths air dry! Maybe you can give that a try as well, it’s really worked for me ☺️
I’ve been going to Sean at Hair Bros for a few years now - they’re so lovely and the best if you’ve got waves / curls! Also, Frankie (their amazing colourist and think she also does cuts) is a fellow Brighton girl! 😊
