out of time reminds me the most of Michael Jackson because of Abel's harmonies, and it's so fitting since it's after Quincy's part, the legend who helped produce the thriller album 💞🌅

I love how most of his songs sound lighter or poppy but beneath the surface they are really dark/deep. It makes for really interesting discussions Honestly it kinda feels like how people will say sad things in happier tones to pass as being ok. And if you really listen to their words/how they are saying stuff you can tell that they aren't holding up as well on the inside

I think you're spot on when you said that you have to love yourself to love others and be loved, and how that relates to The Weeknd. There's more of that in Less Than Zero, one of the last songs on the album.

@@DC-pp8xf the album is a follow up theme to after hours… at this moment (in death), the album conceptually has Jim Carrey narrating you through purgatory and prerequisites of needing a cleansing before entrance into heaven.. by the end of the phantom song, you realize that the only reason we never make it to heaven is because we hold onto grudges that keep from us healing and peace.
