The Weeknd can't make bad music. It's not possible lol. This is why he's my favorite artist, there may be songs I like more than others, but I can genuinely say he hasn't made a song I don't like, and I like his verses on every song he's featured on as well.
Hey Guys, I’m a big fan of The Weeknd and I just made a motivational video about his life and career and I would really appreciate you guys checking it out. I really put a lot of dedication and effort into this video to make it the best I can and my goal is for Abel to hopefully see it or at least hear about it. So if you can just do me a solid as a fan and check it out that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much and I hope everyone stays safe!! Same honey! Heard some tracks from HOB inna strip club in Vegas and been hooked ever sence.....this ditty is so grown and sexy! Very RKelly! #keepitonaXO
jetsu3yahoo Sure i did ive been listening before everyone came but i dont care to have to prove myself you can tell you are from the aggression you show lol bye!
I love The Weeknd and his mixtapes, etc. But admittedly his lyrical themes get a bit repetitive so I find it quite refreshing to hear him sing a song that isn't about getting faded or threesomes, etc.
Been a fan since House of Balloons, and have basically only been listening to his music for the past three years. Shit I go to the same high school that he went to. I gotta say this shit right here is fire, and put a huge ass goofy smile on my face as I listened to it. New is good not bad. People who found out about Abel from Often need to stop commenting their opinions, nobody gives a fuck. Whenever he releases a new song, it just puts me into another place. All his shit is good, and it's not made to appeal to everyone.
This song is on point. I am not a 50 shades fan but I knew when I heard what it was about, The Weeknd had to get a track on this movie and this song is awesome. No artist is better than the weeknd when capturing love, pain, sexual nature, sensuality, raw emotions, and more. This one will be on repeat for a while.
metalwolfking12 Saying he's the only artist to capture all those emotion in his songs. The Weeknd is probably the last artist you think to have a song on the soundtrack for this movie.
1. open 2 tabs of this song 2. start one 3. start the other at 00:12 4. Enjoy probably the most amazing thing that will ever happen to your ears. Edit: holy moly this blew up lmao! For those wondering, I realized the song was just the same chord progressions over and over again, and I played around with the timing until it sounded good. You can do it with a lot of songs that have a simple chord progression like this one, but rarely does it sound this good :) try it out though! I was having a pretty awful day, but stumbling upon this comment I made so long ago and reading all the replies truly, truly made my day❤️
Those complaining about this song not being up to par with his past music, you can't really be right or wrong in this instance. This song is something different to his prior music for a reason, this is clearly because this is a MOVIE SOUNDTRACK. Meaning that this song was created in order for a movie, which is then targeted towards a specific demographic of people. Therefore, Abel talking about how he's numb from the codeine but he's still gonna make this girl feel good (The Zone) would not be applicable in this movie due to obvious reasons. If anything you should appreciate this music, when was the last time a RNB artist was used for a BIG movie soundtrack e.g. Hunger Games & 50 Shades of Grey. This guy is progressing to the aspects of the media like no other right now and will continue doing so!
***** i'm talking about being very explicit with the content that is given in the song. Sure a song could have double, or triple meanings. Even this song, but again these types of songs will always adhere to the movie and it aint no question about it. Although I do agree this sounds similar to the noise days :)
Richard Burroughs Oh shit man, sorry I forgot you can't voice your opinion on music. Damn, thanks for that though. I'll make sure I'll tell other people as well on the internet to not talk about music!
Everyone compares his albums to each other but you simply can't ! They're different times in his life and it's amazing to see him grow and pick up new instrumentals and sounds . I think he's of the best artists of all time , he's gonna go down in history ✊
Something that is out of the "norm" of The Weeknd and he out did himself yet once again. It's a friendly song staying clear of his usual sex, drugs, pain. It's simply beautiful it's shows a side of The Weeknd we don't get to see. Great Job !!.
God I'm so tired of all these fans talking for Abel... Support him with everything he drops (IDGAD if it's a rock album)... If you didn't hear it from his mouth do not say "Abel did this because..." or "Abel had to make the song like this because of the movie" you DO NOT know what he is doing.. You're not in his crew, and neither am I... I'm just doing what he asked for all of us to do and waited patiently for him to put out his art. Support him and always remember the first time you heard him. XOTWOD - Just Another XO Dude
Preach! Abel could sing the mutha phucken phone book and imma buy that shit! This man use to be homeless and literally sang for his supper! His come up is amazing!
As one of the "oldest" XO FAM, (at 33 lol) I have been listening to The Weeknd since he was on RU-vid getting his music out there. We have to remember a few things in regards to this song. First off, the song goes well with the movie. The song was made for the movie, not his newest album, after all. So while some of you so called fans are complaining that its not The Weeknd, you would be wrong. It's Abel's take on a song made for the mainstream, it's very oldies, very timeless and sexy. Also, if you love Abel so much, why down him making mainstream music? We couldn't keep him to ourselves forever. And he has to branch out and grow with the music industry, or else there will be no more music, no more concerts, and no more The Weeknd. It's ultimately our fault that he is where he is...We helped him get here, we pushed him up through the crowd and said "LOOK AT HIM! THIS IS TALENT." The people recognized it, and YOU ALL know, just like I know that all you have to do is take one look and one listen to fall in love with him. So did you really think he would stay small forever? We need to keep building him up, have his back and help him move forward and to get more fans. If you can't do that, then you aren't XO and you might as well go listen to PARTYNEXTDOOR. Just my opinion.
Wth does pnd have to do with anything? I swear xo Pnd haters throw his name around like he isn't talented and is a full copy of Abel. Which if you listen to both you would know straight away they dont. But keep putting party's name out he'll blow up faster.
Heather Hensley Nicole Dtn Callado Stop throwing hate to PND. At least PND has a loyal following. I rarely see people throwing out OMO till I die. I've seen so many haters saying XO till I OD. It's annoying as fuck. Too many bandwagons with Abel. Obviously he's talented, but it's not like PND is trash. Foh
This song has a special place in my heart. I was born and brought up in a Catholic family in Texas and my boyfriend was born and brought up in a strict Hindu family back in India. He moved to the states for college. We met in class and instantly fell for each other. The difference in our races created many obstacles for us. Even our parents stood between us because of the religious differences. But we stuck to it and fought all those battles together and today we are the happiest of couples.I hope we get to live with each other forever. ❤️🇺🇸🇮🇳❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
"Earned It" You make it look like it's magic, oh, yeah 'Cause I see nobody, nobody but you, you, you I'm never confused Hey, hey I'm so used to being used So I love when you call unexpected 'Cause I hate when the moment's expected So I'ma care for you, you, you I'ma care for you, you, you, you, yeah 'Cause, girl, you're perfect You're always worth it And you deserve it The way you work it 'Cause, girl, you earned it, Shit Girl, you earned it, Yeah You know our love would be tragic, oh, yeah So you don't pay it, don't pay it no mind, mind, mind We live with no lies Hey, hey You're my favorite kind of night So I love when you call unexpected 'Cause I hate when the moment's expected So I'ma care for you, you, you I'ma care for you, you, you, you, yeah 'Cause, girl, you're perfect You're always worth it And you deserve it The way you work it 'Cause, girl, you earned it Shit Girl, you earned it, Yeah On that lonely night We said it wouldn't be love But we felt the rush It made us believe it was only us, only us Convinced we were broken inside, shit, inside, shit 'Cause, girl, you're perfect You're always worth it And you deserve it The way you work it 'Cause, girl, you earned it Shit Girl, you earned it Yeah
The Weeknd is always so soothing and his voice is just refreshing. There's honestly not much raw talent in the music industry at the moment and he is an exception. Not to mention the fact that he always stays true to his character. His soul and feeling is always portrayed through his music and he dumps all of his emotion into it. If I ever make it in the music industry, I would aspire to be like him. XO
I prefer this to most of his work (which I also love). The vocals are varied and the song is mature. It can be frustrating that I love The Weeknd's voice but then can't decide which song to show certain people because they will just focus on the lyrical theme. Overall I'm pleased with his direction towards more universally acceptable/appealing songs, while still expanding sonically instead of contracting, and still throwing in tracks like Kiss Land to keep the dark side alive.
I've been with the weekend for the past 2 years and i know some people who act like they know him and have been with him throughout his career and they've only heard the songs "or nah" and "often" and it really makes me mad. But anyways I'm loving this soft and settle song by him and I'm definitely excited to hear more from him throughout the years.
ffs are people not allowed to enjoy their music in peace nowadays? You either like his music or you don't no one gives a shit about "true fans" stop ruining beautiful things with your childish ideas
Tf is up with all these super annoying fangirls acting like this nigga is JB or something.... Calling him Abel like y'all personally know him.... He called himself the Weeknd for a reason.
Pretty much everyone that claims to be a die hard fan and complains about the song is clearly a bandwagon fan. Stop bitching, cause the XO fam would never bitch about the different sound the Weeknd is experimenting with. We only get hyped because he has the ability to do well in these performances. The new raunchy tracks are great, this classic one is great. He changes the sound based on the audience. Obviously this song is for a movie so it has to stay true to the plot of the movie. This song was made for 50 shades and this song is 50 shades
Ahh, I’m in love with this song.❤️️ Your voice like .... so smooth ❤️️ The weekend, I know the true meaning. Mr. Gray dated Ana every weekend to stay at his place.😂
