When I hear a sample I used to add the original and new song back to back on a playlist. When I have time I do chop it up, but now we have these amazing mixes on RU-vid that do a much better job than I ever could. This song in particular makes me feel some type of way. I studied Japanese and eventually moved there, learning the language from modern songs like Utada Hikaru. When I came back to the US I got into city pop and so it was never "nostalgic for me" until the fucking Weeknd, some new artist I really don't care about, dropped this sample and now I am in fucking tears as every word describes my last relationship in Tokyo. I love this, thanks for uploading it. Incredible how music reaches people, even pop songs can still hit like this.
