Sorry this one took so long! Hope you guys enjoy it. 👌🏻 Please give the video a thumbs up and leave a comment to help with the RU-vid algorithm! Thank you. 💯
Funny if not incredibly dark story: This is the first Weeknd song I ever heard and I heard it while smoking heroin (which was not my drug of choice)one time with these two girls I knew. I zoned out, partly from the drugs partly listening to the words to this song, and I sat up when it was over and said “I need more of that” when greeted with more drugs I shook my head no, and said “I need more of that beautiful music” and I’ve been a Weeknd fan ever since! Spent the rest of the night vomiting and listening to house of balloons... bad times... *sidenote* I’ve been clean 5 years in November 👌💪
I always saw his music ( first couple of albums anyways) as an escape from his reality. He grew up without his father and even homeless at a point which he admits in one of his songs, I believe rolling stone is the first song you really hear about him and his true feelings. I think he has abandonment and trust issues because of his past. That's probably why he's always partying, doing drugs, and having sex. He really shows that here when he says he can bring his shame , his pain, and his scars. That's just my take on it
i hope you blow up or get some form of recognition, really like how u break down. very professionally and calmly and deffo no fake reactions. keep up the work my man
You deserved a subscriber for doing this for my favorite longest run time listening artist by me. On spotify it tracked me to be the top 1% of The Weeknds top listeners daily. So...I loved your reaction. Been here since Kin K;). Good job. XOTWOD
If you've ever had experiences with Toxic Relationships and Drugs at the same time then you REALLY get this song. Honestly this song about that empty void brought on by both
How in the hell did I miss this? I’ve looked all through your playlist. Better late then never I suppose lol I absolutely love this song 🔥 I hope you find time for Dawn! 🖤
you got the money, you got the fame, you’re alone and you’re broken. It makes you wanna find some comfort in the arms of a woman, just for one night to ease the pain.
im so jealous of people who get to hear him for the first time especially his old stuff. man ! i wanna erase my memory just so i can go thru his whole discography all over again for the first timeeee
yea he was adicted to drugs but the amount he takes now is not enough for it to be harmful for his life , the weeknd and abel tesafaye are 2 different people and you would know that if youve seen him outside of a screen. the weeknd is like a darkend greatly exaggerated version of him
None of that is true and The Weeknd himself had said in an interview he loves people's interpretations. Lol. Does he look like someone with a bad drug problem? Let's be real.
You should definitely do album reactions of him maybe after you finish trilogy! Like Kissland , you’ll definitely enjoy his production on that project👌🏼
Tbh, The more I concentrate on the meaning of his songs the more I want to stay away from him irl. He makes it very tempting to do drugs and pay no care to life. But I still enjoy it too much to stop. 😂
Flyco I agree for many reasons, but the most selfish one is that I’m literally addicted to watching people react to the mix tapes. A less selfish reason is he can hear that each mix tape is a concept album telling a story from start to finish on their own, but also as a bigger story when taken as a whole on Trilogy.
Everybody’s saying do After Hours, and I want that, too. But where’s my My Dear Melancholy fam? Better than both Beauty Behind the Madness and STARBOY (and for me, tied with Kissland).
If you start reacting to 6LACK you should definitely listen to his remix of this song. It’s called “Just in time for the weekend” I was already a huge fan of The Weeknd and that remix introduced me to 6LACK. these two have been the top 5 artists on my Apple Music account ever since. Love the vids man keep it up👌
This is amazing Kurtis! This song is a true classic and the highlight of the album. Huge fan of your channel and reactions ✨✨ would love to see you react to SC.Undercovers new video, he's an amazing new artist 💕 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-OqcBJ-vVA9A.html
The trilogy project definitely has an underlying tone of the dark side of fame but it’s a lot more than that. Keep in mind that this project was before he was anywhere near as well known as he is today. The project’s 3 parts are a progression of his life at the time and his “coming of age” so to speak. I like to think of the 3 parts as the party, the after party, and the hangover the next morning. House of Balloons is fun and alluring, Thursday starts to get more sinister, foreshadowing what’s to come, and Echoes of Silence shows Abel realizing what his life has become.
Hello Kurtis Hope you and all your family are well and having good day. Again here watching all your reactions. And Hope to see you react to Hellyeah X.😊
