The Weepies second album "Say I Am You" (2006) has slowly evolved into one of those deceptively simple and timeless albums with songs that seem to work on almost any soundtrack. Featuring "World Spins Madly On" and "Gotta Have You.
2008. Los Angeles. A friend of a friend lent us a cd with "the Weepies" scribbled on it before heading back to Texas. Painting by Chagall and Citywide Rodeo were the first songs I ever heard by the Weepies. And yes, that cd played for two days back to Texas. Never been the same since.

Back in the day "Paining By Chagall" was in steady rotation at WUMB in Boston. It became a favorite of mine and I was blessed to be working at the station back then.
2020. Ten yrs, maybe more, and this timelessly opens me up to mystical spheres. Still. The melody, the words, takes me to the silent, wordless Void where everything begins and ends. A mystic memory brought to life, these energy of eternity images from the wonder called The Weepies. Grateful for having this glorious reflection-benediction in RU-vid. Love to all that bring this holy holodeck image to life for this listening heart.
