It's tiiiiiime for more music! This isn't the song I previously hinted at which I still want to upload, but that'll seem like chump change compared to this, oops. But I really wanted to make this! Making a Gravity Beetle remix ain't exactly breaking new laws of physics, per se, but it is my favorite MMX3 track by a long shot. So here we are!
Made it a goal to exclusively use the Korg M1 for all but the guitar track so I could learn the software better. Guitar used is Impact Soundwork's Shreddage 3 Hydra, and it was a lot of fun learning.

@@user-zg4dx2sw3y The game Nier Automata actually has a song called "Weight of the World", and I did *not* realize that was a thing when I first made this video, oops! Turns out I had named this the same as one of the most recognizable songs from that one all because the gravity word play seemed fun. So yeah, while the title in the video is a bit set in stone, as I didn't want to reupload it, I changed the video page name to not mislead people.

Going through your older stuff slowly and I really like this one. X3 never stood out to me soundtrack wise cuz instruments just didn't feel as varied as in 1 or 2 and just sort of sounded super drab and repetitive but I do like the songs,just find them lacking due to that and just the repetition of the tracks feeling oddly more noticeable than before. Despite that,I really liked this track in game and loved how you added onto it. Feels like a natural addition to the song and kinda feels like it's taking cues from the PS1 version using the snes instrumentation which I'm a sucker for since I love the PS1 version but was always biased toward the snes version when it came to sound.

Oh, you noticed! Yeah, I based this primarily off the PS1 version (that version of the OST in general is a fave!) with the decision to use the SNES version at particular points for a switch up, like the end of the chorus. They have small -- but appreciable -- differences! I'm in agreement that the SNES X3 soundtrack sounds flat compared to the first two, and I think a large part of it comes down to how the instruments sound. IMO the instruments sound more like something you'd hear out of Battletoads Battlemaniacs, but I think that's because the pitch work the other two have (which make the guitars sound so good!) is largely absent from X3 SNES.

@@korshalvalent Totally agree with you there cuz I can confidently say I like X3's tracks just not how they sound on SNES cuz the other 2 felt like they packed a lot more punch,at least compared to SNES version cuz I think that the PSX sounds a lot more varied instrument wise which makes the tracks stand out more IMO cuz on SNES,it feels like all that's being used for most themes is the guitar and drums with little else to back them up in the SNES version which just makes things blend together a bit for me.

Yes, exactly! Coming up with a thematic subtitle really adds a nice touch, in my opinion, so I plan on continuing the trend in future work that's not a "*song from one game* in *instrument style of another*" like my Wily Fortress. ...I'm just going to double check my titles more thoroughly from now on, haha.
