Was going to say this, I think one of the main reason the english speaking community remembers solos more is because "one of theirs" won. But as someone who watched Trymacs/ watches Amar regularly Aqua immediately comes to mind as the world champion, Nyhrox second and Bugha third

Mongraal dominated Share the love, luxe cup, scallywag cup, wc warmup, 4x wc qualifier, 6th duos, 13th solos, 10th trios (after being hard griefed but 250k combined just from season x), 2nd squads, 26th solo inv, 14th solos, 1st trios while clix hasn’t even touched top 10 in grands SINCE SEASON X UNTIL S5 and placed 18th and 35th in WC. I’m not saying im better but Clix is considered tier 1 when most tier 1 players in nae have consistent top 5s and 3s and some 10s. Compare bugha to clix. Bugha has 4x top 5 fncs’ in a row and clix couldnt crack top 10 until season 5. He still hasn’t even placed top 3 when mongraal and bugha have twice. Clix has god mechs but is so overrated. That type of spotlight should be going to players who have been consistently at the top through multiple game modes. In nae solos have rng yes but its worse in eu we have only like 10 good and consistent solo players but mongraal is top 15 hes still consistent in shit/boring metas. Hes consistent when in grands. Actually good metas he quals for he gets top 2 and bad/boring ones top 15

Clix is still incomparable and yes mongraal had 2 shit szns and i said it shouldnt define anyone but if its consistently bad and 3-4 then its not good. Clix had an ok trios but squads to solo fncs was horrible for someone of clix’s caliber and trios still no top 10 which is kinda bad. That’s literally 5 seasons (squads to s4 trios) and this is fncs based

You certainly can. There’s no logic in what you said, just emotion and statistical fallacy - which is totally fine, it sounds believable to me too, but it’s just not inherently true at all. Just as Zayt and Saf can go from towering over the leaderboard to gaining hardly any points in the last few games, Aqua and Nhyrox can go from hardly gaining any points to the top of the leaderboard. The two teams popped off at different times, almost equally. There are plenty of statistically-backed, logic-based ways of showing that Zayt and Saf were the better duo, but it worked out that Aqua and Nhyrox won that day (perhaps, for example, due to the third partying).

A comeback alone doesn’t determine how good a duo is. You have to look at their entire match history as a whole, and since they completely threw their first three games, that brings their average performance down. I honestly believe Zayt and Saf were a better duo, but it’s hard to tell with a 6 game format.
