Wake up with Mister Lincoln in Illinois, and then cross several states as we make our way through Indiana and Ohio to Pennsylvania, but along the way, we can't help but stop somewhere truly bizarre, the weirdest backyard I've ever seen in Ohio, Ben Hartman's 1930s-1940s rock garden! See how one out of work factory man kept busy and created something that outlived him and inspires people of all ages on a daily basis in Springfield Ohio! And find out why Julio needs to cross the road!

6:34 I think it’s the British during when the Colonies where still “part” of the British empire and the colonial war was going on and the red coats are crossing the bridge to get to the town with all the ammunition and stuff (idk but that’s what I think)

It reminds me of the Loveland Castle here on the east side of Cincinnati…It was all built by hand using creek rocks. Our friends held their wedding there. It’s all pretty amazing!

If you ever have the time you should stop by the Candle Company in Centerville (The place with the largest Candle off of I 70 ). It is amazing!!!

Hey, you're in my state! Though I'm a couple hours south near the river. Did you know Ohio has an actual castle? Look up the Loveland Castle in Loveland, Ohio. You oughta check it out on your way back, along with Serpent Mound, Fort Ancient. There's a bunch of cool historical stuff in Ohio. Even a pencil sharpener museum in Logan, Ohio. LOL

Funny thing - we are in Shipshewana as I enjoy this video. The Amish culture in this area is so incredible. We went on a tour of an Amish dairy farm in an actual buggy. Good times. But you may not enjoy the fare. I think they butter the butter 🧈

I was just watching the movie "Romancing the Stone" with Michael Douglas the other day and lo and behold there was a replica of the 🌵 cactus that marked the treasure map in Cartagena, Columbia " El Tenadore Diablo - the Devil's Fork!!! Right there in that magnificent Rok Garden you are showing us in Ohio!!! Way to go, Justin Scarred!!!! Attaboy on seugways.

Here's a super tip when driving n very tired n hard to fight to stay awake, keep Vitamin B Complex available in your van or car and within 30 minutes or less after taking 1 you will be totally refreshed n it will last a few hours. I guarantee it will work!!! Attaboy, Justin Scarred!!! Rock on down that road n entertain us!!!

Bazillion Attaboys, to Ben Hartman n his descendents who maintain that magnificent Hartman Rock Garden!!! Thanks for showing it to us. I live in Ohio, n my sister's n I go on a early Fall roadside attractions trip each year to get together, n I am going to research the availability of where n when this wonderful place in Springfield Ohio is in conjunction with our next vacation in late August, 2023, to include this as one of our roadside attractions!!!

Hi Justin! There are two Bibibop restaurants in Southern California - one in Hollywood on Sunset Boulevard and one at the 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica. That is a boss-looking backyard.

It’s interesting being from where someone is driving through knowing exactly which interstate, exit, and rest stop they took just by the trees they passed. I was about to say you should go to Indiana in October, then you picked up the pamphlet for the Covered Bridge Festival. I grew up an hour away (in IL) from Parke county (it’s an entire county festival) and everyone went to it every year. It’s a big deal. Everyone from at least a two hour radius goes. Indiana’s time is weird. The state should technically be on central. As the sun isn’t straight overhead until 1 pm. Indianapolis likes to be synced up with NYC and the rest of the state gets to choose which time zone to be on. Some counties choose central, but it’s always confusing. It’s funny that you associate Indiana with Chicago. Them’s fightin’ words. I think Indy is on eastern time as a rebellion against Chicago. “Oh, you think you’re cool? We’re on the same time as New York!” But that’s the thing about Chicago. As a city, it has never cared about anything else. Since I grew up in central Illinois, Chicago doesn’t even care about the rest of the state, and we don’t care much for them either.
