You should check out Placencia Airport in Belize. It has a 650-meter-long asphalt runway that ends in front of water (so you do NOT want to overrun(good title)) and is surrounded in trees in the beginning of it (there is also a ROAD crossing the end of it). I flew there as a passenger in a Cessna Grand Caravan on Maya Airlines from Belize International Airport. The pilots flew direct and approached from the left side.

Weird Fact: I saw some 747 plane at Heathrow. While on a British Airways flight during taxing. The 747 was unpainted it had 3 engines and looked similar to the 747 Trijet.
