That belt though, if it functions well as a belt; Not too bad. I have a 10amp battery pack that I sometimes hook up to my phone while I'm walking around. I don't want it in the same pocket as my phone as it doesn't fit quite right and I still need to put my keys and wallet somewhere, so usually I put my wallet and phone in one pocket, keys and battery pack (ouch...) in the other and then I thread the wire connecting the two through my belt loops. Yeah. A belt that powers my phone sounds good to me. Must say that I haven't had this problem since I bought my Moto G5 Plus. It's a buggy bugger, but the battery's good.

“Weirdest”... Why not call these gadgets “creative”, “different”, “innovative”, “original”, “unexpected”, or even “funny”? I don't think your intention was to assign a negative stigma to those gadgets, but in my opinion that tends to happen by using that word to describe these kinds of tech, which transfers to many of your viewers, who then contribute to the general opinion which could hinder actual innovation in the future because the market doesn't appreciate it enough. That foldable keyboard was “kinda cool”? It was awesome! It's a super-portable keyboard you can fit easily in a backpack, it probably won't get ruined with liquid spills and, most importantly, it's touch-sensitive! It shouldn't be at the same level as the gimmicky giant keyboard, or the rave-like glasses that shine colorful lights.

Hey, that battery belt is actually pretty practical. And the fact that they can integrate it into any strap could be game changing. I'm being completely serious. Put your phone in your pocket, hook the charging cable into your belt, and boom! Charge while you walk. You could improve it to by adding a small kinesthetic motor that charges the built-in battery a small bit while you walk. Once wireless charging gets better and we have "long-range" wireless charging, you won't even need to plug in your phone. That's honestly one of the most innovative products I've seen at CES this year.
