I've never been to Israel, and at an advanced age doubt I will make it. Yet, every one of your videos makes my heart long for that country. The average lifespan of Israelis is high & people of advanced age are abundant. Remember that to get to most sites you can skip the camels & ride in an air-conditioned car with a guide. Most sites have accomodations for the elderly & handicapped. Faith will keep you safe and strong. Touching the stones is very different than just dreaming about them.
What I love most about my first time watching these two is that they both show enormous passion for history, hard working and pays attention to research, very informative but above all else they have the wonderful ability to say the words “I don’t know.” And then keep searching. Bravo you two!

If you read the Bible, there is a part in New testament, when Jesus ask for water to a woman in the famous Abraham well.... Maybe there's a clue of the true local....
I’ll likely never get to see Israel in this life because I am 66 and disabled. We could conceivably save the money to do it, but not being able to walk very well would limit my exploring. I say all this to let you know what an incredible blessing you guys are to us! We get to see it through your eyes and exploring with your young legs, energy, etc. Your videos are always very interesting and we use them along with our Bible study and a few other sites to paint the pictures in our minds. Mostly me, to be honest because my wife watches mostly Spanish language Christian videos. She has been an American citizen for about six years. I also speak Spanish. It is hard for her to process English in some accents, but you guys are very clear. I think in the millenium we could live there or visit often (Yeshua will rule from Jerusalem and we should all hope to be very close to Him at all times). Of course we don’t know the details! Abraham Was a nomadic tent dweller- They packed their stuff up and took it with them everywhere they went. It does seem absurd that college educated archaeologists would expect to find archaeological evidence for that in a CITY.. Thank you. For your content. You guys are great!
@@grandmagrace9453 Agreed, although modern college is rather questionable sometimes. My thoughts though are they found even older sherds but decided it doesn't mean the area was inhabited. Wouldn't logic suggest that in order to find sherds in the first place it would have to have been inhabited for atleast a short time, and if there is no other evidence does that not support nomadic tent dwellers? I feel like teaching a little straightforward logic could help in college nowadays.
FALSE, Abraham was a NOBLE from around the area of Sumer in Iraq who moved to the lands of Israel and Egypt . He was very wealthy and in high regard for that time. Abraham was not some nobody but was well connected and well liked due to his leadership and diplomatic skills. People make it sound like he was wandering around the desert by himself. THIS IS FALSE. He has a large entourage of servants, guards and other dignitaries that did his bidding. He was a very important person not some lone wolf tent crawler.

Went back a couple of years later and stayed at a large hotel with an underground spa ... The pool was filtered water from the dead sea; and that was excellent, too! I'd swim thirty minutes there, shower off and hit the above ground pool. Back and forth for a half hour in each place most of the early part of the day. My skin glowed for weeks afterwards and I felt energized in a way I cannot remember feeling since childhood. So, maybe you should experiment a little to find your sweet spots ... just saying 🧐

The Land and the Book. Such a beautiful book. I have the 1883 edition. I sell books online but this one is a keeper. Thank you for bringing Israel and archeology to me here in Australia. The battle of Beersheba of WW1 was just such a miracle in its self. I read 800 Horsemen by Stringer years ago. So proud our men of Australia were used by God that day. I *have* been to Israel, but you don't have to travel to have enough sense to respect the conclusion of historians that Abraham, like the rest of the books of Genesis and Exodus, is totally fictional.

The thing that amazes me is that ancient people were able to excavate such deep wells and tunnels without the tools and macheines we have today. Just fascinating!

A vote for part 2. Suggestion: if you remember in the new testament a few more than 2,000 years ago, the Christ Jesus visited the well of Abraham and found a Sameratan woman drawing water there and asked for a drink, and said "all that drink this water will thirst again but who ever drinks the water I offer will never thirst again" my suggestion is take into the account of Jesus's journey there, from where he began and account for the fact that they traveled by foot from where they began and use that as a starting point as to where the well may be. Just a suggestion.

Sergio & Rhoda, first of all - your cinematography went up big time. You invested in new gear and got a lot of practice compared to your earlier videos. A big "hats off" to the "extra" you are putting into your work. This is a lot of time and resources put into this, which does not get acknowledged a lot. So thank you for going further, reaching deeper, and progressing further in order to present to all of us the "more", the "clear", and the "unknown" - especially for those of us who have never been to any of the places, but one day hope to. Your video came up right around the time when I was asked to preach/lecture on Genesis 26 at a conference in Switzerland in July of 2023. I have been pouring over the texts of Scripture and noticed the emphasis on the wells. While I cannot speak to the archeological sites, we can surmise from Scripture (1) the importance of wells, (2) the importance of naming certain places, and (3) where we can find the application for us today. Therefore, I would love it if you could go back once more ... and dig deeper into the seven wells, but also noting the connection between "water", "desert", and "blessing" (barak ... "blessing," "kneeling," "fruitful," "pool" ...). There is so much more there than what meets the eye from the biblical account that needs to be shown. Thank you for your hard work!
