The West Block: Lessons for Canada from UK’s plan to boost defence spending

With the rise of pro-Palestinian encampments across North American university campuses, concerns have been raised over police response and safety of Jewish students. ‘The West Block’ host Mercedes Stephenson interviews Diversity, Inclusion and Persons with Disabilities Minister Kamal Khera to discuss the campus protests.
Minister Khera also addresses concerns from disability advocates about the Canada Disability Benefit’s ability to lift Canadians out of poverty.
Plus, many NATO members-including Canada-do not meet the military alliance’s two per cent of GDP defence spending target. And now the U.K. government is calling on that target to increase to 2.5 per cent.
Stephenson speaks with former British intelligence officer Philip Ingram about the U.K.’s calls for NATO members to boost their defence spending, geopolitical threats, and more.

Democratic nations will need to decide if maintaining servitude to WEF is more important than remaining first world countries. Both can not be at the same time. WEF's world reset depends on free nation's sucess being reduced while using their sucess to fund failing nations. As is being whitnessed all over the world right now Democracies can't function under a one world rule. Aid is given by choice not demanded. As far as the liberals appointing a new Commander of the armed forces you can expect them to slow walk the announcement . They have to check all the diversity boxes then , make sure the the new appointee leans towards a liberal slant , is a yes person and will not ask for any more money then has been already allotted for the CAF .

the lack of commentary on such a sensitive topic tells me that there is bias in this forum. Well all I want to say is that you can’t have world peace if you don’t include ALL NATIONS. Even the ones you don’t like. A protest does not make demands. A protest does not threaten the existence of another human being. Does not destroy property. And certainly does not threaten the country they are protesting in!!! Like when Mpp Jama arrived on the Campus of U of T to ‘show’ her support for Palestinians. Or threaten HoC. There is no surprise that this issue is become more divisive- most people know this so called protest is wrong and with the exception of Calgary and Edmonton, the institutions that citizens are supposed to trust to take care of it, do nothing.

Disability benefit. Yeah, I'd need a doctor that'll uphold my Charter rights first. Keeping my records on a device that has access to the internet? Yeah, that's a no, forever. I've not been to a doctor willingly in years. I need to, I am disabled, but I do not have the paperwork saying so, because I'd have to surrender charter rights to get it. That won't happen, I'll die first.
