African continent was and still is the wealthiest continent. Once its people match its wealth with knowledge, it will become the new global superpower. I don't know when that will be, but it's people will continue to suffer hardships in order to transition into wealthy sustainable economy and with it power to shape global politics. I trust it will be benelovent leadership despite what was done to them.. If not we deserve what ever it is they wish to dish out.

Serious Question: Rhetoric and emotion aside, why would the West (US in particular) be "Afraid" of BRICS? The USD is still that at the end of the day. Aside from Russia, nobody in BRICS is crazy enough to think it can topple the dollar. And now they added more US security allies to BRICS- ensuring it won't become a competing faction- which is what its most powerful member (India) has said all along- that there is no interest in competing with the dollar.
@brotherbrooklyn3759 I think you need to change your perspective. The way I see it, there is no need to topple the U.S dollar. We only need a level playing field in terms of economics. BRICS and especially the African Union have plenty of mineral resources, human capital and space to grow. The U.S however, can only maintain it's (economic) place through violence. How long do you think it will take before the U.S burns all it's bridges in this manner?
