Toby is arguably the straightest character on the show, hardly ever cracking a smile, but Richard Schiff seems to crack up more easily than anyone else when mistakes are made. I love it! lol
it's kind of nice to see the actors as real people. You get a sense of how much they really liked working with each other. It makes their onscreen friendships seem even more real.
+TheBrizz71 - I find it remarkably sad that bloopers are no longer a common place part of watching TV. I was going to say good TV, but thinking back, compared to now, very little wouldn't pass at least as good by comparison. It was so common place for a show to end each night or week with a few bloopers. If they are purchased on DVD, there is a blooper reel for every season. Well there used to be before TV changed so much. Just like movies used to have Intermission.
God how I love gag reels. The West Wing has to be one of the best shows ever made--right up there with MASH. There's also a ton of outtakes from "Breaking Bad" that are absolutely hilarious.

I loved this show. I don't know why they don't show this and reruns. It certainly is worth watching over and over and over. Great riding great acting and just amazing love it
Hand to God, I thought I was watching a movie on network television for the first few minutes. It was the second episode of the show that I found by chance, and then it became appointment television for me.
Interesting fact, when Aaron Sorkin, wrote "The American President", he used his creative team on the movie to come up with a treatment of the movie to be used for an idea for a television series, and thus be, The West Wing was a loose idea of making "The American President" into a weekly drama series. Thus, The West Wing was born. And Martin Sheen was also in "The American President" as Chief of Staff AJ McInerney as most of you may remember.
I agreed with you 11 years ago when you posted this, and I still agree with you today as I re-watch the entire series. They still don't write like that any more.
Except the West Wing was originally supposed to center around Rob Lowe's character, Sam Seaborn. Martin Sheen was only supposed to appear in a handful of episodes!
OK, it's still great, but: Ron Butterfield saying "here" all of those times, they strung those together, yeah? I mean, that was not one take with him just going on forever.

So I was watching the series when Toby gets fired for being the leak... That moment was so sad I had to come here to remind myself that they are actors.
The Sheens are tv gold, namely, Martin and Charlie, of course...Hopefully, Emilio will be cast in a hit tv show, also, in the near future..."Anger Management", with Charlie Sheen, seems like another hit, for Charlie...I watched "Two and a Half Men", recently, but, without Charlie, it's like M&M's, without, the colours, a Snicker bar, without, the caramel and eggs, without, the bacon...They should rename the show, to, "Two and a Half, Out of Ten"!
+Richard Darlington - I'm sure that was a Mandatory Minimum before getting your own Pink Ladies jacket. Though Michelle Pfeiffer did have it over all of them when it comes to SMOKING HOT!! THAT could be why she looks so strange in that red jacket before the debate. Especially as they cut to her and it looks like little Stockard has been trying on Allison's clothes.
What the hell...? Michelle Pfeiffer is too skinny. She needs to eat a potato or something. Ms. Channing did not look good in "Grease". But in "The West Wing", she looked fantastic!
