This week we're on home turf - the MIGHTY YORKSHIRE! A festival that's very close to our hearts - TRAMLINES. Taking place at Hillsborough Park, we got very unlucky with the weather and ended up completely stuck. Torrential rain and catastrophic mud result in us having to ABANDON SHIP on the first day - only to realise that sometimes, you need to THINK like the elements to overcome them.

You guys have honestly made my hungover Sundays survivable throughout this entire year!! Given the backlash the festival got for the state the park was left in from the local community, perhaps the sheets were some futile attempt to mitigate the damage.

@@TPD Yeah the Hillsborough locals were pissed because it took their park out of action for all the school holidays. Council had to do a review of it Tramlines should be moved because of it but they decided there was no other park in Sheffield big enough so it's staying. But the council had to give an update this weekend because some of it is still knackered.

As a local resident I went to tramlines in 2021 as I was starved for festivals and even when the weather was good it was the shitest festival I have ever been too. I did not envy anyone there that weekend with the weather.

West Street live is truly mental. Once played a show there on a UK tour, one of the bouncers parked his BMW right behind our tour van, when asked politely to move it for 2 minutes so we could leave, he just laughed and said "yeah i'll get around to it". Our tour driver and the rest of my band decided to try and lift the car to move it, which nearly worked but obviously all it did was set off the alarm. Bouncer came out, looked at our entire crew, singled out the youngest, smallest member of the band and threw him against the door of the van. Naturally, we tried to step in. Then it was three fuck off bouncers vs. the 9 of us in what must have resembled a slap fight between two nerds on a playground at lunch break. Played for the bar staff and the cleaner. One of the best nights of my musical career.

practical old man advice time: _ if your footwear is gonna be covered in shite anyway fashion goes out the window - you can get cheap hiking shoes in go outdoors/Sports direct for 40 quid...if you really don't give a fuck about what you look like you can chuck in a pair of waterproof trousers to go over your kecks for a tenner...you've all got decent north face jackets apart from Chunks...I guarantee with dry feet and dry arse you'd be a lot happier
