I agree, mind you Body shaming goes both ways. It's not just the bigger community, smaller gets in it too but never the recognition. On the other side of the coin. I'm abnormally skinny and due to my metabolism gaining weight is near impossible. Every time I get ill my body burns off all my weight progress. It's something I keep striving for I want to be twice my current body weight to improve my health. I'm currently 3 stone heavier than I used to be which to some is not a lot, but personally I feel healthier. However trying to explain this to people is heartbreaking because they say "What have I got to complain about?" They shame me for not being happy being skinny. I guess what I'm trying to say is it's your body and your mind. Accept what you got or do something about it that's your choice. Just please stop commenting on people's weight. Because big or small body shaming is painful to everyone. Thanks for reading 💕💕

I've struggled with my weight my entire life... bad metabolism and a really bad habit of stress eating will do that to ya. And up until just a few years ago, was almost 350 pounds. (I've managed to lose about 75 pounds over the last few years.) I know what it's like to be targeted and attacked over my weight. And I didn't find _The Whale_ fatphobic in the slightest. Granted, it doesn't sugarcoat the subject of obesity, and shows the ugly sides of it. But it also went out of its way to show a lot of empathy for Charlie and individuals like him, explore the fact that sometimes food can be an addiction like drugs and/or used as a coping mechanism, and ultimately made him one of the most likeable and human leads I've seen in a fictional drama film in quite some time. As a fat guy... I really loved this movie for those reasons, and I identified with his dedication to putting others before himself and seeing the best in people, even if he shouldn't. I do that a lot too, because I struggle with my own self-worth. Even as super-liberal and hippy-dippy a person as I am (and I am very much so), I really despise this trend of modern liberals finding everything offensive all the time. I remember when we were the cool, edgy ones back in the day... really wish we could go back to that. A lot of people are missing out on a remarkable film because they want to attach negative labels onto it for social media points.

Yes things have slightly inverted in ways, i hope the pendulum swings back the censorship of things people find "offensive" has gone way too far. Aclot of the time its people just taking things out of context or in worst context possible.

Fat humans don’t like being reminded that you can lose weight with a healthy diet and working out . Brendan Fraser is back around 250 lbs and is a champ for doing this .

Well. Modern elites want people to be as weak as possible. Bronze Age cult of masculinity is long dead. Masculinity is considered evil and testosterone is a satanic hormone according to modern "scientists". Just look up "it's okay to be weak" on YT. A fcking clown world. And I say it as a zoomer from 97s myself.

You can't speak for how fat people should feel about a movie. The movie was hateful and unnecessarily depressing, so if it makes people who have been fat all their lives feel negatively about it, then it's problematic! You Just calling the people that the movie had a negative emotional impact on, "Wokies" just shows you're not even willing to listen to their experiences and how the movie makes them feel!

Morbid obesity is life threatening, there is no denying that doing so is dangerous. I never said how fat people should feel about the movie, stop putting words in my mouth. You are a hypocrite you are telling me how i should feel about the film… I am just giving my interpretation and opinion. Negative emotions… exist for a reason. Not everything is positive. Negative emotions are there to catalyze change.

@@WhatisReal11 I never told you how to feel about the movie so YOU stop putting words in my mouth! The "wokies" you're referring to are real people who face issues like this everyday. I listened to their experiences and this movie certainly didn't help them!

If you're fat, you're fat. That's it. What is wrong with pointing that out? Do those people have no mirrors? This new woke world is truly amazing.
