A wise man once said, the books are the books and the show is the show. I'm not a purist so I appreciate the show for what it is. And, Rosamund Pike IS Moiraine Damodred and Daniel Henney IS al'Lan Mandragoran.

While the show takes quite a lot of liberties with the rules and systems of channelling, some I like and some I don't, I still feel they did a great job with the characters and casting. It's still a good show, it's just not Robert Jordan levels.

Honestly, this show suffers from passing. They don't know what to skip, what to keep. The first season was kinda good because it made the right choices. But the fatal flaw here is that they skipped Fal Dhara, the shouldn't have cured mat in this first season, hence the pursuit of Fain can happen and Rand's character changes can be shown as well as his powers and the introductions of other worlds and Tel Enrhiod using Perrin. They could have skipped the random lord and the firework incident while still portraying Lanfear correctly, because wtf did they do with her ?! Honestly, they could have skipped her altogether when we look at what we got . They could have kept her in Tel An' Rhiod to interact with Rand, could have been a way to explore tbe dreams as well. And the Seanchians , bruh 😭. I'll pass on them, it wasn't so bad as it may seems, it principally lacked in epic grandeur .And then, Moraine, ok if you want to cripple her , do it but then don't heal her rn. It shouldn't be even a thought as in the books it is said that even in the Age of legend they didn't know how to do it .But they shouldn't have cut her form the saidar, because how the heck will she be able to kill the forsaken in the heart of stone ? Well anyway, they read the book diagonally, skipped the characters change and the different realms introduction, but it is fine 😊😢😭💀🗿

She is bound by her oath to obey siun here but in the last episode she kills people with the one power in violation of her oaths.

They got so many things wrong, I don't even know where to start.

They have so many amazing actors and actresses hobbled by such a horrific script and producers who not only don't understand the material, they don't want to.

Why oh why did the screen writers think they knew better than the author? They've corrupted so much of the story that it is unwatchable.

Can't wait for the comments where people fight over who's the most worthy fan to complain about how the show is an abomination and should never have been made. Wheel of Time the series that is a garbage can fire. Instead of a dumpster fire, because the main characters have to share 1 brain cell among themselves. And you can easily tell who has that one cell at that time. The one person is not crying and has no lines to say. Even dogs try to bury this show in the back yard.

I think the show is great in my opinion if u read the book and hate show stick with the book and if you love the show stick with show stop trying to get the show canceled this is why I hate book adaptations with book purists

i mean, there r shows like Game of Thrones n Lord of the Rings. didn't they adapt correctly and the fans loved it? book fans n new fans alike. what the book readers complain is that the story is sooo much more n is perfect, then why butcher it like this deviate from it that it seems a whole new story. bcz then the ones who've never read the books would think it's how the story is. but it isn't. instead of introducing new plots n scenes, why not work with the original story? like where on earth did the idea come from that waygates need channeling to open. they were created for the ogiers, and ogiers DO NOT channel. why break the whole magic system just so they could give other characters big moments when they r not thiers.

I have read all the books in 3 different languages. I must have read through the series about 10 times throughout the years.... This show is GARBAGE.... A perfect "how not to make a show" guide for future generations... Honestly, i did not think it was humanly possible to ruin a series to this extent, but it is Netflix's The Witcher all over again ..🤮 Disgusting

This clip is all I've ever seen of the show, and it's not good. Bad acting, bad animation. But the comment section is filled with people complaining about those of us who believe the books are better. There's a reason why we get upset - same with other adaptations (LOTR, Shannara): If you're going to honour something by adapting it onto the screen, honour it by adapting it rather than belittling it by making demonstrably bad changes by comparison. I'm absolutely not going to watch this tripe. But people who do watch and enjoy should similarly recognise the bastardisation of a genre classic for the sake of money and eyeballs.

Book fans always run for their lives to demean a show they could just not watch and ignore and then mock its fans. It’s depressing when the show is your first interaction with the universe and you find it compelling and interesting. I love reading books, always have, and I hope I never get this entitled and bitter over an adaptation. No matter how much I loved the source material.
